Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption, and the third entry in the Red Dead series. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. After a botched ferry heist, Dutch van der Linde and his gang, which includes Arthur Morgan and a young John Marston, are forced to flee their hideout in Blackwater and attempt to cross the mountains west to evade law enforcement. In order to fund their escape, Dutch has the gang rob a train belonging to the wealthy oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall. A furious and vengeful Cornwall then hires the Pinkerton Detective Agency, who send Agents Milton and Ross to apprehend the gang. As a result, the gang is forced to be constantly on the move to stay one step ahead them. All the while, Morgan and the rest of the gang continually have to perform numerous jobs and heists to keep the gang funded as Dutch continually promises one last, big heist that will secure their freedom.

Soooo I don't know if it's an awesome detail or a HUGE coincidence but I kidnapped and stabbed a guy to death then dumped his body in a river near Blackwater.
And the next day the bartender in Blackwater's saloon mentionned that a dead body was found in the river and that he was apparently stabbed to death.
Freaked me out a little.
I think it isn't a coincidence! I remember in GTAV if you robbed a place, the radio would mention it later

I brought a wagon to fishing , I noticed that sone fish was disappearing frim the wagon, then I accidentally moved my camera and I saw a eagle stealing my fishes. That happen only once, I tried again to take a screenshot and never happened , magical moments

#10 (6:30) isn't just an insane detail, it's Roger Clark actually avoiding the pain of crouching by kneeling. It will always blow my mind that this ENTIRE game is motion capture, they didn't just voice the characters, they played them too

You know what I love in a game? When you try to do some random thing that the game never explained, and it actually works the way you expect. Like, the devs considered that someone might try this obscure, minor thing, so they made it work just in case.

I actually saw an Opossum play dead in game once, I was actually amazed, it really tricked me too. I was riding past it on horse back and it flopped and I got the "skin/pick up" prompt whilst I was on the horse, I figured I ran it over. Thought "that's weird, maybe a bug?" So I dismounted to loot it and it got up and ran off, then I realised what animal it was. Good job opossum dude

I loved that Arthur could comment about himself in the mirror. One of the first things I tested, fuck it's rare to have proper working mirrors in a game these days. Reminded me of Duke 3D.

The best part about these details is discovering them on your own. When I ran into an escaped prisoner, i thought I'd try tie him up, then I remembered the sheriffs office in Valentine, and wondered what would happen if I took the prisoner there (keeping in mind there are 0 prompts telling you what to do). The immersion in this game is incredible.
If you do the opposite, you can get rewarded to. I ended up freeing a prisoner from his shackles and didn't turn him in. A few in-game days later I ran into the EXACT SAME GUY (he recognized me to and was embarrassed at getting captured a second time!) The second time I freed him, he ended up tipping me off to a house I could rob as thanks.
You ever had an eagle swoop in and steal the fish you were catching.. I have. It's sad.
I've seen that happen as well as an Owl swooping down and catching a rat I was trying to kick.

This isn’t really a detail but if you go back to the place in the mountains where the gang stayed at the beginning of the game you can sometimes hear johns voice echoing saying something like “I never thought I’d be so pleased to see you Arthur Morgan” but it has to be when your John also in a certain cabin
Not really echoing but instead John remembering his times with Arthur. Still a cool detail

Rockstar Games sure has improved since way back, GTA 1, GTA 4 and years later they were able to make a game like this, Respect for the effort they put into this masterpiece.
Probably been mentioned already, but Arthur also mounts his horse with a kind of swing if its on a hill / higher up.
Another cool detail is that if you hog tie someone and throw them, if their head hits something you’ll knock them out

Ajax Blair it’s not in GTA V. You knock someone out and they die. In GTA IV the Paramedics “revived” them if you knocked them out via Melee.
It's implied Arthur suffers from depression & self esteem issues. Also, the lines don't change.

Try going to a bath and putting your hands crossed or your back stomach to the ground, then remember that a person would be knocked to the ground real fast and hogtied really tidy. Now the brain of any human would understand what’s happening, but your brain wouldn’t signal your body to resist, because 1: You are mostly in no way of advantage over the kidnapper when lassoed 2. When you move your slightest, you will be beaten up by the kidnapper 3. Your body won’t roll in sand underwater, that would take a lot of force, and you will 100% expose your force to the kidnapper, and proceed to get beaten/shot. No one is a hero in that situation, and I don’t recommend pretending to be one
(Plus either way you cannot roll easily on solid, you need again, a lot of power)

couple of my favorite details; if you shoot an oil tank in chapter two, it'll leak oil. the insults arthur tells himself in the mirror hinting to his mindset about himself(tbh it isnt really true what he says hes loml), and when you ride through trees on your horse he puts his hand in front of his face
The houses being built, I remember talking to someone building a house and he asked for a loan to complete the house, then he repaid me when the house was done. What I love is that the dialogue was random!

that opossum one is actually pretty crazy. Ran into one in my backyard a long time ago and it did the same thing. Played dead. My dad hit it with the hose and it woke up and ran off.

Rain does too, and i was bummed bc my Arthur was getting really muddy and apparently you get an interaction with Ms.Grimshaw in the camp if she thinks you're too dirty. So back to not taking bathes and avoiding water for two weeks i guess 😂
Marion Batais I don’t shower in the game and make sure I’m dirty because my Arthur already looks like a hobo, he’s wearing clothes from animals and his hair and beard length is almost maxed

Yes and no. Gta 4 had a lot of detail that didn't carry over to gta 5. The biggest one was how the cops wouldn't shoot at you for a one star rating unless you shot at them first.

I love the videos that you make, because even though i've been no-lifing this game since I got it, there are many details that pass me by on a daily basis. Seeing that lil' Opossum playing dead cracked me up! I wish they'd make a young Arthur DLC when he was with the barmaid and his little son. Would be amazing to see how this mean and tough guy with a soft heart started out in life. I'd probably jump down the stair on one foot to try and break the other so I had a legit reason to skip work for a few months! 😂 🤣
