    Like that you used a safety chain. Coil springs can be un predictable sometimes, There's times were they can almost double in size when removing them. I remember my father removing a coil spring out of a 76 Econoline Van he had a old mattress on the ground protecting him. The spring was like 3ft long when removed, Crazy pressure. Recoil is nothing to joke around with for sure.👍

      Hey Paul, I totally agree with you. Coil springs are very useful but they can be very dangerous. I try to take every precaution that I can and keep them from being a projectile and so I can keep moving forward on the project. But I've never heard of anybody using an old mattress, but it does make a lot of sense. I'll have to remember that trick and it's probably a really good idea to keep in mind because some of these spring compressors like what I used in the video and they leave something to be desired. That is generally functionality. They're not that great. They're better than nothing anyway. Thank you for watching and thank you for your comments
