Things are fine here. We do celebrate Thanksgiving, sort of. Mostly, it's just an excuse to hang out with family and friends, and to remind ourselves to be thankful for what we have. I have mixed feelings about the holiday, though, because I feel like it was borne out of the ill treatment of Native Americans. Know what I mean?

This song strikes to the core, don't feel sorry for crying to it... I straight up ugly cried in front of them at their Minneapolis show... I was a hot bawling mess so much so when I met them after the show they asked me if everything was ok. I told them the story about how directly through their actions of getting therapy sessions for people literally saved my life after my wife and I lost our first 2 babies and I was very suicidal, that because they took action that there were now 2 people alive in this world (me and my baby daughter) and the entire band gave me a hugs... so don't ever feel sorry for feeling your emotions.

As a kid growing up in India listening to the music of the West I always wondered why our homegrown artists never got a breakthrough, like, we have the talent, the emotions, the storytelling, the music what is it about us that never made people go crazy about the stuff we do, soon this whole 'validation from the West' fizzled out and then one fine evening I got introduced to Bloodywood.
In the past couple of years, I have seen them grow so big and be appreciated by the music community all across the globe it fills me with pride. So happy to see them break the language barrier and make people LISTEN to what they have to say. Big ups from India mere bhai!, respect.

As someone from the West who has always had an extreme fascination with India- the people, the culture, the music, everything- I have wondered for years why we never heard more. I think that a lot of westerners tend to be too ethnocentric. They seem to only care about what's right in front of them, and what the entertainment industry hands them on a platter. Than along comes Bloodywood. Man, they did not just break the barrier- they shattered it to dust. I actually discovered them years ago when they did their cover of Tunak Tunak Tun, and started following them. They were just so much fun. And then, they started doing their own original music, and it floored me. I was so happy to see them rise the way they did, and have the whole world not just accept them, but welcome them with open arms. I hope they continue to grow, and I also hope that this is just the beginning, and more people come to embrace the music, the talent, the art that comes from India.

These guys are the real deal. I'm 63 years old and usually I'm into Hard Rock and not so much into Metal. But when I discovered Bloodywood in early 2022 I was blown away. All their lyrics contain an important message that is delivered in this mix of Rap and raw metal power. And both styles blend in so well in the way these guys perform it. I admit I love these guys and can't stop listening to their music.

First of all, never apologize for showing true emotion for music in any sort of way!
When you feel it with your whole chest, whether it’s pain, or happiness, or any raw, from the depths of your soul, emotion…cherish it!
    Its a beautiful thing!
To be able to share a moment of pure honesty like this, is really special.
These guys are part of what is good and real in humanity. And in my opinion that’s a rarity. And I’m with you on a tie between them and Jinjer for favorite band.

Wow. What a beautiful reaction. Thank you. Every person brave enough to show their humanity online brings hope to those who struggle with the all too common impression that their human flaws makes them unforgivable.
You don't have to have a lot of resources to make a difference. This is enough.
For those who struggles right now I just wanna say that there are people out there who understand, who's been where you are and gotten through it, who will listen and can give advice and support. The difficult part is to find them because you need to show yourself. No one will grab a hold of you if they don't know you need someone. When it feels like no one is fighting for you, you have to fight for yourself until you find the right people. And you can. You are able to do so much more than you think and you deserve as many chances and re-tries as you need to get it right. Every person is a complete world of their own and there has never been, nor will there ever be any one like you in this reality so take care of yourself ❤

What is worth appreciating is the fact that metal bands that come from countries that do not have a very well-established metal scene like the countries of the west or the usa, manage to play on big stages and receive the recognition of fans from western countries, this thing is huge, a lot bigger than western fans can imagine. Just finding a rehearsal room or the necessary funds to buy instruments is an almost impossible struggle! Thanks CHIEF for the video, LONG LIVE BLOODYWOOD!

If this song doesn't touch you in the feels, then you aren't human.
    Just one crying fool's opinion.
The gentle in Raul is like a dear friend checking to see if you need a hand up, and hearing him doesn't chase a down-person further into their shell.
I've heard that the contributions for the session have continued on. As of 6 months ago, they had funded over 600 sessions, or so I've heard.
I don't know WHERE their contribution site is. But I need to find it. Paying it forward.. one day I'll be the one needing the work.
The song.. oh yeah, the song.
The vocals are stellar... not the most, not the loudest, not the most fierce... but there are none that cut through the callus protective wall we've built up and offer more support, all in one breath.
    Well done, you; well done.

i think why this song hits so hard emotionally, **in my opinion,** is the fact that there's a fine line that this song walks, that includes hope and despair. as well as for the harsh vocals having that *something* (maybe conviction, raw emotion?) behind it that it feels like he is letting out all the pain in a scream, while instilling hope with the lyrics, speaks on such a level. And the feeling of having others at your back in a song form is so unique, and it hits home for a lot of us. myself included.

I think this song hits so hard because it SOUNDS like a 'fight song', hyping you up to tear the world apart, but it's not; it's yelling for you to LIVE. As if they see that life is this big, daunting monster we've all hidden from underground--and here they are, standing above us amidst the flames, reaching a hand out and telling us it's time to come back.
And they're speaking directly to YOU; "Live free, Brave One". The lyrics are impossible to sing without hearing them being said to you, and you saying it to another. You feel seen. Like you're worth fighting for. Like you're worthy of a battle cry as magnificent as this. "Fly" and "Rise" isn't winning or achieving; Bloodywood is saying that being brave enough to live is an achievement worthy of the highest praise.

Never apologize for your emotions. I don't know a single person who didn't tear up hearing this song for the first (and sometimes second, third, fourth, and so on) time. The message just reaches right into your heart. I would honestly worry about someone who doesn't get emotional hearing it. This is only the second reaction video I've seen of yours, but the way you were open about how it made you feel was what made me subscribe. I truly wish I could afford to join your Patreon, but if my money situation ever improves, I definitely will.

Never apologise for showing your emotions lad. When I covered this track, I couldn't even hold back the tears until the end. Your reaction and words were pure and honest, never apologise for that.

"Why am I struggling right now?"
Sometimes the why doesn't matter. You don't need a reason to need help. That's ok. If you're having a struggle you can't shake, get help.
