I mean, come on! What other (metal) bands out there are tackling topics like this? And yet, we all experience this type of loss. So why isn't it addressed more often in songs? I don't know, but I can count on Bloodywood to keep bringing up important, relevant issues that most bands won't touch with a 10 foot pole. 🤘

    • @marbenthesaffa
      @marbenthesaffa  2 года назад +13

I couldn't agree with you more!! For some reason majority of the bands out there refuse to touch on these subjects, I mean they do but not to this extent. Bloodywood are an incredibly unique band and they really are a band of the people, for the people, by the people❤️

you could try 5 finger death punch, (as example "gone away") Megaherz (would need subtitles its a german band, example song is "für Immer") and potentially sabbaton ( a few songs)

So true! When I lost my Bobby, I had a hard time finding music to relate to the situation... Until this!
There are some good Alter Bridge songs that can translate to death of a pet, but nothing specific like this... ❤️

Why won't you listen to Shepherd Reign ? It's a New-Zeland metal band, singing in english, also in Samoan , including cultural instrument, n' of course metal voices and electrical guitar riffs . You have some titles like" Aiga ", "Le Manu"n' so...from a french fan of Bloodywood🤟🤟🤟🤟

I from Turkey watching a guy from South Africa reacting to a band from India and getting emotional. How beautiful is that! That's the power of music and those guys use that power for good causes. They're not just amazing musicians, they're also great human beings.
Thanks for sharing your honest feelings with us. I believe many of us probably can easily relate to those tears and goosebumps. The emotional weight of losing a pet gets underestimated by many people. it's same like losing a family member but it's not easy to explain to the people who never lived with one.

This song is so fantastic and beautiful, it has me crying every time..
So sorry for your recent loss.. I know the pain all to well..
We lost our girl (10yr old rottie mix) just last month.. and I have been crying at least once, every single day since.. I'm 37, male, 250lbs and in general not an emotional guy.. But loosing our little girl has broken me.. We hope, as soon as the sorrow has lessened a bit, to adopt a new dog to love and care for.
There is an old saying, roughly translated:
"The more pain you feel when loosing, the more you loved the lost one, and the better life they lived because of that love"
I hope it can bring a bit of comfort.
Thanks for a great reaction, and have a good one :)

@MarbenTheSaffa: It isn't just furry ones that I've used this song to grieve for.
Over the last few years, I've lost family members -- some I've known since I was a kid (I'm almost 40), others that I didn't know that long. It never gets easier to deal with. And the message of this song always helps with the pain of loss, to bear the pain of grief.
My condolences about your furry family member. I hope you're doing better now.

The video got me as much as the song... When you try to talk about losing a pet people look at you weird... But it feels like this... Sitting on the couch with *that* look on your face, contemplating whether looking at videos or photos of them will make you feel better or worse, because now you feel alone and there's nobody bringing a casserole or a shoulder to cry on over them... Feel it so much. I've wanted a tattoo in memory of my Bob for the past year and now I know I will get "tu jiya"... ❤️

I know what it’s like to lose a pet. Doesn’t matter what pet you have. I grew up with 2 cats, they were the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen, and both passed within the space of 2 weeks. The whole buying sessions for those of us with mental issues and giving them out? Thats so much more than I am used to for almost any other band. Endurant is another good one.
