I love when he flames the rum and mum says “ooo bloody hell!” Cracked me up.
I made this and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! Thanks Jamie x
The mam looks so offended at the 'yeah I'm good at creaming*
-dirty look-
Jamie engages his *wink*
Wow!!!! so good, thanks.

1:02 AYOOOOOO🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lovely recipe!
Your mum's lovely.
I love it 😃👍
My son Angelo thought I ought to tell you that the day his mum made a mistake and used 450ml of earl grey tea instead of 300, the whole family loved the pudding so much more than when she done it right for Christmas. :)
I love it 👍
Where can I find a recipe plz
Wow! Just finished watching "Coronation Street", and Jenny had mentioned that Rita had made "Sticky Toffee Pudding " while visiting Mavis. The name alone screams delicious.
So it's a rainy cold fall day here in Canada and I've decided to try making this for our dessert for dinner or your tea time.
Loved the Earl Grey tea trick.
Anyway I'm in love with all of your cooking segments.
Be well.
Peace, love, health and harmony be with you.
✌❤🙏

I can't believe you watch Coronation Street in Canada! You go to Canada to get _away_ from Coronation Street.
@@reesemorgan2259 Hahaha.
I couldn't get into it for decades.
Then I had a terrible accident with my horses that had laid me up. It wasn't able to get up and change the channel. It was an old TV ,no remote.
So Coronation Street comes on after the CBC news broadcast.
So I would be stuck forced to watch. I started watching when the train crashed down on the street and all the drama hooked me in.
The meds I was on probably helped too. Bwahahah!
So now I'm still hooked and watching. Hahaha.
There is actually a huge Coronation Street fan base here in Canada.
I've never attended, but there is a pub that they all gather at to watch.
They've had them on news segments, when something happens to a character or the show changes something.
The stations will send a report out to interview all the fan's about whatever the subject is.
They all dress up and look like characters from the show.
It looks really fun.
Anyway Reese, do you watch your entertainment export?
✌❤🇨🇦🐈🙏🍻
did your sticky toffee pudding work out?
@@fredof4413 Yes it was Absolutely Delicious, thanks!
✌❤🇨🇦🐈
i love dates tastes like eating pure toffee to me.
Yummy!
Can I make it couple of days before the party ? If yes what’s the best way to store it ?
I’m a little late but could I get that recipe in writing lol ima make this for my gf n her fam
Cooking with your're mom..🎯gold
Anyone know what this song is? 3:36
Wicked recepie! Thanks a lot 😊
Is that a savarin or kouglof mould?
classic guglhupf mold, I recommend a ceramic one
oh god i gone to 'heaven'
I eat these as are for breakfast ⚡🤣🇨🇦
*WARNING!* You need a SHALLOW baking tin, Jamie doesn't mention that. I made this EXACTLY as shown and it burnt on top and was raw in the middle. I had to lower the temperature, stick some foil on top and stick it back for another hour. My bad. 😐
This man it's 👑
😆😎 I prefer to have my pudín with vanilla icecream when the weather is hot. 😛🤗👆🏽🌞🍮
Hi, what can i replace the rum with please? (non alcoholic)
If I’m not wrong when flaming the rum , the alcohol is evaporated
@@foxxysoxxs Yes, i believe that is so, but we do not consume/use alcohol in any form. Thank you.
@@sadiqakhan4795 leave it out because other recipes don’t have it and it works perfectly.
I’d leave the tea out too.
Nigella does a beautiful rich pudding too.
@@manchestertart5614 Thank you.
This is magic, I've made it. Now I'm famous in the neighborhood
1:01 sorry what?
Wow🤣🤣
🎯
The written recipe on his website has different quantities and ingredients than the video 🤨. The site mentions pumpkin/squash and 200g of dates instead of 450g.
Hello chef jemy
You know this date wich admired you it’s nothing look like Saudi dates we have many hundred kind of dates and so so so delicious I hope to try it in a day soon
Dear Lord, thank you for Sticky Toffee Pudding! Amen
@Jaimie I absolutely love sticky toffee pudding but there is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much sugar!!! There’s no way I can justify it. Is there any mods you can do?
Exactly! what i was thinking. The amount of sugar actually put me off using this recipe.
I did it today and it was perfect !! But yeah so much sugar !! But delicious
That's why you eat it like once or twice a year max.
I have a mod but it would complicate things a bit. Put Less sugar :D
Eat dust.... or kale 😂😀
Credit where credit is due, and I think JO is a t*at, the recipe is sound as I actually baked this today.
Tweaks: lose the tea though and the rum from the sauce. I also added 1 tablespoon of black treacle to the sauce.
I used the same style tin and cooked it until the internal temp reached 210F, using a thermopen. Perfecto.

a bit complicated, but great recipe
Not a pudding, that’s a cake. You steam a pudding.
black tea? That’s so irish
Cringe 😂 1:02
That’s crack cocaine
What if you get pitted dates?
Remove them before blending.
THis is the only recipe I've seen with tea in it. Anyone who tried this who can tell if it makes a difference? Or is it just tv stupidity?
It's Jamie Oliver, he does this.
I guess it would infuse that bergamot (citrussy floral) element in. I hate Earl Grey tea haha, I wouldnt do this personally. Its not "traditional". But it intrigues me where else I could infuse fruit like that, idk for hot cross buns or teacakes.
You dont go to Jamie Oliver for by the books traditional
I didn't use tea. Just hot water. Came out fine.
Spoiled it with the salt 🧂
And sugar
Too! much sugar
A little bit of salt manages the sickliness.
Seems a waste to blend the texture of the dates to nothing. What is the point of using medjool dates if you turn them into a purée?
They taste like toffee and keep the cake moist
@@jenf4435 you could use cheaper dates for that. It is a waste to use a quality product only to blitz it down to nothing. Most STP recipes call for chopped dates, not dates turned into a mist.
Too much butter
NO NO NO
⚡🤣🇨🇦🎯
All that sugar? oh no no no so unhealthy. He needs to replace all that sugar with aspartame just like he did with all soft drinks otherwise he should be taxed for making it.
Horrible intrusive and moronic background "music", it serves no purpose whatsoever.
