- Rob and I head out to explore a section of the Shenandoah river in search of a couple river crossing areas and we are hoping to find some evidence of a battle that was fought in this area during the American Civil War of the 1860s.
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my RUclips "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
Nice to hear "Hold your breath! " even though you're probably sick of it! Good day out. Those sun turtles are fine little pieces of live jewelry.
They are cute.
It never ceases to amaze me all of the crap human beings will throw into the rivers - course, in the 19th century and before, they probably didn't think twice about it. But with moderns, it sure does piss me off!!!
Hey I know that guy!! Hi Rob!! Can’t wait to see you in a few weeks!
Yeah Chig, you're definitely in a beautiful part of the world! Love your work, many thanks...
Found you after watching river hunters UK during lockdown and now a subscriber! Next time you are in UK you should seek out my town which is a historic Roman settlement and there have been a lot of great finds over years.
I find myself always looking for your new videos , and I watch a bunch of your old ones also, entertaining and informative, learning a lot about detecting and identifying old stuff, you really help all of us with our detecting! Thanks a bunch
Awesome, thank you!
Chiggs love it when your on the river. No leaches today. I think Rob is camera shy.
thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I found your Kenny videos and I can't stop watching your content
I love the Shenandoah… gorgeous area… I spent the best days of my life in on that river … unfortunately I’m in Alabama now… curious if you’d give us your general location as in what’s the closest town?… Luray possibly?🤷🏼♂️
Totally digging the adventures with you all. Fun to watch
Love ya informative adventures, you always explain like William's
Cleaners. Wish ya would
Explain Old RR spikes,

Always have a great time watching your vids awesome finds Chigger 🇺🇸
Take a trip to Port Republic Va on the Shenandoah. There is an island there that a family friend that my grandfather played bluegrass, and old-time music with use to plant watermelons. Best watermelons ever!
I grew up on that river in Clarke County and know it well. Go up river quite a few miles and there's an old indian dam with a lot of indian artifacts. I used to small mouth bass fish that spot back in the '80s & '90s.
Love the Shenandoah I actually saw Ivory billed woodpeckers along the trail. And there was a group of them .
I don't think they were Ivory Billed Woodpeckers. Probably Pileated Woodpeckers.
Love all your videos Chigg, nothing grounds me better in these time we are facing.😉
Good Tuesday morning to you sir and your family from Wellington Somerset in the UK
YAY!! Relic Rob! Glad to see him again!
Thanks! I was glad to get back out with Beau!

Take care of yourself Beau.
Be safe out in our crazy world.
I envy you guys, out on the river and looking for "stuff" !
"If you're with me, don't get your hopes up." ....and there's your next shirt! 😁
The season is getting closer to fall. An your water hunting is at its peak. Great day on the water an once again you found some war relics. Way to go chigg. The water an the weather looked to be awesome. The water could have been a bit clearer but you still were able to come up with some civil war bullets. Great video chigg. As always safe and happy hunting/digging. Catch ya on your next outing. 😁👍👍
Chiggs vids keeping us all Sane !!!
God bless!!!
Was having a hard time seeing the larger piece of pig iron till that white leg came into view. Reflected so much light I could see it perfectly!!😅
Gotta love the Chigg

Oh my nenith Chigg, I love hairy and bald eagles 😁🙃

Subbed your site today.
Thanks for the real deal....
Rob and the Ghigg nice kayaking!!!; )
I am always looking for your videos. Any topic any time Chig
You're finding a lot of muskrat traps... The muskrat community thanks you guys 😊😇!!
Good posts on your site...
Subbing today...
Always enjoy your videos. I’ve watched you for quite a few years. Do you have a video that shows how you set up your ATMaxx when you scuba dive? I know it’s a lot shorter? And I like what you made for your pinpointer. Pretty slick setup. Please keep the videos coming.
In an dive video he explains his setup, can't remember which one. It was like a year or so ago. Just search for his scuba vids and skim through.
Iron may have ended up there on "trash day". Back in the holler, many, many years ago, when the creek was up and flowing good, it was trash day.
Yeah, paw paws were a week early for us this year. Lots of wild grapes and some persimmons out now, however.
Thanks Chigg
Yeah Chig I forgot to mention this but how worried should I be as my community water source is the Shenandoah? It's treated but it looks like I'm sipping a relic cocktail daily. Be safe!
Cute turtle's! They looked a little scared of you
You ever think about the susquehanna river I do a little bit of exploring every year if I have time and water isn't high
Another fine trip on the river with the chigg and hey rob
Thank you again sir 😁👍👀
Nice WWI button. Nice bullets. Rob did good!!
I bet the owl had a squirrel because I heard one just before that. It was sounding very upset.
Great Video👍🏻
Paw paws taste like bananas to me kinda. I love them now I got seeds in my freezer I need to get some planted in the bottom below our house we’ve got apple trees there now
Wheres the artillery shells darn it? Glad ya got on some bullets. Enfields and minnie balls. And the trifecta with the pistol bullet! Glad you didn't find any of the beav's! Wonder why thebpaw paws aren't as sweet this year? Oh well need too find the wild grape vines! That would be a first for you. Ive never seen you discuss grapes. Just paw paws
I know where you were at I was there last year. You are on my stomping ground. Glad you found stuff and had a good time.
I've been hunting that lower section for at least 10 years.
@@aquachigger i guess it true. You cant really get all the targets out.
That stretch of river looked awfully familiar.....until 1:17. I don't remember there being a "fork" in it before.
The fork is an island.
@@aquachigger Hahaha...I was referring to the eating utensil....the clad fork at 1:17 you pulled up after the conibear trap right at the beginning. I'm just joking with ya. I love the work you do. I love all the facets of your explorations...detecting, bottle digging, spelunking, etc. I find contentment in you and your videos. Hell...I think my time's becoming somewhat limited. I have conjestive heart failure and c.o.p.d. I can't even walk out to my backyard without gasping for air. Anyway...you and Todd (AHD) and a few others keep me as close to where I'd love to be but can't be. I'm thankful for that. Keep up the good work. Maybe ttyl.
Great comment ! 😁
some one's got to clen the water up.
You are always in a good mood on the Shenandoah and seem one with this River. Further, how about that wobbly kitten and Fiona….
Good to see you again. Whatch them beavers. (The animals)
Why not both?
@@aquachigger lol.
Love from Meghalaya India 🇮🇳
THANK YOU,,, DES CREAN,,BELFAST.. IRELAND
Enjoyed it
Did you ever go back and get that musket from underneath the bank where you left it ?
I love 🐢🐢🐢.
Love it bro
That piece of chain made me thank how good steel was back then. If it had been metal in use today it would be rotted away for
I've been to that little island before I had a lot of hits there but I didn't have a shovel with me
I was worried you were gonna put a hole in the Chigg rig with the pick 😄
Hello there could you please tell me the name of those fruits you eat green in color mushy centre, but can't eat skin, I would like to see if I can buy in England, great videos very interesting, also very clear water
The paw paws?
Good luck buddy
This is a good dam video!
I wish i had checked out that spot on the Shenandoah just outside Harrisonburg when i was still in college there. Unfortunately i hadn’t gotten into metal detecting yet.
Well thats what you get for being a sack head
Hi Rob, hope you are doing well.
Found a dozen nice paw paws a few days ago.
Chiggs 🤘👍🏼🍺
In Pa. I find more Fords than Chevys .☺️
We live close to a few dams, the locals call the road going to it the dam road just means you use that road to get to the dam.
I'm near the new river Beau.
❤️❤️
Love CHiGG
John Denver liked that river
