Great work - Excellent visuals ! I could _almost "not see" the camera jitters in your movement , and the visuals helped capture and sustain the illusion ! Nicely done ! Say - how about a follow-on Vid , with some of the same "backgrounds , but with some simple aluminum rails , invisible ultra-fine monofilament fishing line suspensions and simple turntable effects for composited shots like fly-bys and approaches ? You might be able to do an interesting "Hero-shot" compilation ? I think you'd get some nice feedback - LOTS of CGI here on Y-T (👍) but not many "Hero" based practical-effect visuals ! Seriously - I really liked the work depicted in the modeling , AND the visuals later in your Vid ! Nicely done !
Thank you so much for your positive encouragement. I appreciate the pointers but, I don't know if I could pull off all that. I'm just an old man who likes making unique things. I do have a better camera though. This was done on my phone. The background is just my tv.
This truly is a great refit version. The TMP refit was always missing something to make it feel more dynamic and "alive" that the original 11ft model conveyed. The warp engines are an improvement. The TMP ones were dull without the glowing spinning caps on front. There are a couple changes that I would do. The engineering hull needs it's own impulse engine for when the primary hull is detached. Granted it doesn't happen very much at the time but it would still be useful say in an emergency they could send the stardrive section away from the saucers and anything important before it exploded. I would also include an aft torpedo launcher. It's stated in the Enterprise ep. In a Mirror Darkly that the Connies have aft torpedoes among other sources. So it would be good to finally see it on the ship.
Newtrekverse Enterprise A The one thing I think I'd have probably changed; the back half of the pylons I'd have had them sweep back a bit at the top while leaving the front half the same. To parallel a bit the way OTrek went from straight pylons to swept pylons
