The upper body and core strength these players have is insane.
Yeah they skip leg day though
So damn true man, i play normal tennis🎾i know the muscular power needed, the guys are so talented.... hats off to them:)
😊
@@JP30th I'm in a chair and I use this all the time! Always gets a laugh, usually after a short pause while they "do the math". Now stop stealing my jokes... 😉
Don’t forget hand strength too
This is unbelievable. Why don't they broadcast this skill mainstream? Never heard of it until now, incidentally watching youtube.
They actually do, depending which Country your in.
the rules are relaxed to make wheelchair games possible. The ball can bounce twice in the same court.
the truth is the public dont want to watch it, believe me if there was actual real interest, it would be shown much more. broadcasters will only show what will give them ratings, quite simple really
Yeah me too, this is fantastic i cant imagine how they riding that chair and still can use their hands to return the shot
Wow. I didn't even knew tennis had this kind of style. I've started playing this year, and this is by far the most inspiring and amazing tennis video I've ever seen.
This is what I love about this sport. It is for everyone, and there's always a way to improve and be better, as a player and as a person.
Very well said!
REPSECT!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man my body hurts just watching this. Such great athletes
watching this in prep for my first wheelchair tennis practice!
That's awesome!
mad respect to all these players
5:36 I saw this live, absolutely crazy point!
It's amazing how these players are able to play so well and even better form than some people I know. Man round of applause to these players
Much respect of these amazing athlete.
Searched this after listening to Ricky gervais xfm podcasts and surprised at how good the quality is compared to how this was described
This is honestly more entertaining than I thought it would be...
I've never ever watched this before but my sheer admiration for this sport has gone up to the roof, amazing athletes I shall watch this every year from now on, heroic stuff of human determination and strength of will, I'm in awe 👏
I don’t know if this is done to me just missing it, but I wish this got televised more
lots more of the wheelchair quads was on live tv at the aussie open this year, good to see all the different tennis draws getting air time. I saw quite a few of Alcotts matches, including him vs'ing Lapthorne a couple of times
kineticdeath Alcott seemed to have quite a bit of publicity behind him in Australia as well, hopefully a sign that he’ll get more matches broadcast in the future
The athletic ability and technical skill required to do this at this level is truly out of this world.
Had no idea in wheelchair ball is allowed to bounce twice...
...and that the next bounce can be anywhere (even in out area). This is so cool and well thought rule tbh.
Yeah makes sense, makes up for the use of the full court
@@JohnnyBg2905 it isn't actually, the only way to win a point is get forward hit into the stadium
The positioning of some of these players is incredible
Just seen an advert on TV and my initial response was eh, how? I paused and thought that this would be insanely challenging if not impossible. Credit where credit is due, this is incredibly enjoyable more so given the incredible strength, skill and team work involved. #impressed
This brings tears to my eyes. Superman is not brave, however these people certainly are.
Brave? They are playing tennis
No need for condescension. They're playing a sport.
This players have more strength than normal tennis players damnn!!!
No words..... 😔👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
As a former Junior player, I know how much stamina we need to play tennis.
And these fighters sitting on the wheel chair, using their hands to move the wheel and at the same time playing shots 😕
Inspirational..... 👏👏👏👏👏!!!
They play way better than me without wheelchair. Much respect💕💕💕
I searched up "wheelchair tennis". I am not disappointed 😯
this is amazing.
Absolutely insasne. I cant digest what i watch . Lors of respect for all these people. The effort looks infinite cant even think of how it must feel to actually do this body , hand core effort just everything lol! 🙏🙏🙏
They are better than me in tennis and athletism. Hats off...
wonderful competitions and courageous fight
This is quite exciting, sad Wimbledon didn't happen in 2020 but hopefully in 2023.
Wow it’s like a different game altogether and just as enjoyable as regular tennis
Amazing skill set , should be appreciated more and celebrated infact
This people are insane, I have mad respect
Hit it, net.
I am just amazed! Wow! Who are the three heartless people who disliked this video?
People who are cold hearted and hate people with dis abilities
Karl Pilkington was one of them
They lost the points
actually the major reason of dislikes on all videos is that the RUclips app has very intrusive dislike buttons on portrait mode and people missclick them
@@AdrianOkay Interesting
As a non-wheelchair tennis player, I flinch every time the ball bounces twice 😂
"little fellas in wheelchairs"
watching, watching, watching gets to the last 20 seconds, still no Alcott, then finally he's there, guys a boss, Lapthorne is pretty good too though, they had some great matches at the aussie open last week as well. Its good to see all the tennis making its way onto live broadcasts now, not just the top 3 male GOATS and serena williams.
No disrespect meant at all, but watching four wheelchairs rolling around the court is like an early 90s Intendo game.
No disrespect meant at all, but reading your comment is like reading a 9 year old's copy book.
I didn't knew about this sport until today 🥺
I dont know how these players do it. Unreal.
Big Respect!
I'm pretty sure they can design more faster wheelchairs which could help their cause a little
Jeez, this looks exhausting. And on grass too. Damn.
Their game is harder than the original one.
All my respect for their great heart.
This is way more interesting than normal tennis
It is. I'd rather watch this than normal tennis.
@@GenjiSleepsowo even above Federer game??
thats crazy bro theyd bagel me on every set
Do they always play in doubles?
They amaze me... im not a tennis player but they can bloody serve im can barely serve without being broken with double faults.
Amazing people!
Looks like the ball bounce twice and was still in play. Is this allowed in wheelchair tennis?
Yes.
I can't play this well standing on my foot.
This is wild
If I play I would play the drop shot every single time
Didn't know something like this even exists
Electric wheelchair would be perfect
My bros are stanced out
Wow just wow
when they hit forehand, they do have unit turn with their wheelchair
Jesus, Pilkington was right, don't put this on telly.
Why don't they just play swingball?
Impressive
Whaouuu i love it
Are dropshots against the rules
It bounced twice?
how many bounces are allowed? great athletes
Two bounces
2

Unbelievable
💜

Little fellas in a wheelchair!!! Why didn't they just have a game of swingball?
Tell me why, tell me why, tell me why - donnnnnn't theyyyyyyy - PLAY THE GAME OF - swing - BALLLLLLL
@@capnhawkins STFU
was looking for this.
hit it ... net, hit it...net, hit it .... net
Why!?
Why what? Play tennis? Because they like playing the sport. Why does Federer play tennis? Because he enjoys it.
Man, this is so boring
I got nothing against disabled people playing sports, but I can't take wheelchair tennis seriously. Working legs are needed.
Simple don't watch it. There are others who like it
@@rogerfedererc5315 I'm allowed to look and comment though.
@@RMoocher But how are working legs needed if this exists
@R Moocher: Ignorance is bliss, I suppose..?
bruh
Omg boring, who actually watches this... sooooo slow
Why not try it, and then comment..?
@@MrAstonP hell no, rather hike a moutain or have a surf
Naaa. It's hugely demanding on the player. Way more than the able bodied players.
