Great review. My biggest issue, as said, is the fragility. Something I think worth mentioning is that later on in the devices life, the buttons will be less responsive. It'll depend on how rough you are with the device. This happened about 2 years after use for me, and some buttons became almost impossible to use.
But theres 2 solutions. One is using, if you have one, your warranty and hoping that your device gets fixed. If for some reason that doesn't work, the second solution would be cleaning the loopstation yourself. Be mindful that this voids warranty.

20:10 That Bounce Effect Is a game killer 😂😂😂 That's so overpowered... It can not only improve the mix in your drums & melody but it can also add tons more variety in sound design since you literally can apply more effects to the sounds that have already been applied by four effects. If you really want to test the limits with musical sound design then this machine is literally perfect for you

Thanks for the 2nd review :) Had a used 505 mk2 that broke down, now going to try loopypro as it "seems" overpowered compared to the 505 but may come back to the mk2 if loopy doesn't cut it for me :)

So finally he got mkII
Recently, I’ve lost all of my feel in 1 of my main 4 buttons on my MK2. It was my second looper that has hardly been used for less than a year. I talked with BenBeat and he has lost all of the feel all 4 of his knobs. These buttons easily lose their click and distinct feel that tells you if you’re switching a parameter by 1, 2, 3, etc.
The durability of the machine is my biggest issue. It feels like it was cheaply made and the buttons seem to be wearing out too easily.
My MK1 knob for switching things is still in good shape and still clicks even though I’ve used it constantly for 4 years.
The product is good and big advancement but it’s a huge disappointment considering all of the software issues and the materials that were used to build the MK2. Boss needs to make the next model with metal or something stronger than plastic so we don’t have so many durability issues in the future.
The hardware is definitely an issue, unfortunately that's the one thing that cannot be changed now. It's a good loopstation if you don't handle it too much. I'd say, we, competitive loopers, have an intensive use of the machine. We are probably the most affected by this fragility issue.
No offense, but just watching this guy, he mostly hits the button instead of just pushing them. I’m sure that’s from just performing…. I, personally, would just be careful (especially knowing it is not made well.) I was actually looking, in the comments, for someone to tell us a better, more durable machine to buy… 😢

mk2 can do a lot more than the mk1
Maybe a Videos hoe you connect it to your laptop for This amazing Sound quality, i myself got a mac, which is making it a lot More difficult 😅

Is there still a problem with the Filter effect on Track effects after the last update?
(I mean that this effect significantly mutes the main sound source when in use) It's terribly annoying.

I went to look for this new software and v 1.30 is still the latest on the website i don’t see a new one yet can you tell me where to get the newest one that’s newer than v 1.30 ?

My biggest issue with the RC505 MKII is that it’s the price of a PS5 but would struggle to run DOOM.
As a sound engineer living with a guitarist, I’ve used many other pieces of equipment from BOSS and they’re made of better materials and much more sturdy, yet everyone I know who has this looper has issues with the hardware even malfunctioning. It feels like a cheap cash grab.

I’m a beginner. Can anyone tell me please is it possible to turn on input effects only for one input, not for all of them.
so like have the input effects on say just a guitar and not the mic? yes thats possible! i believe press edit on an effect, go back a page and choose which input gets the effects.

you hear it that way because he went from camera audio to mic audio
@@BALDOCK_BBX By that logic the camera would have a way better mic than the one he is using woth the mk2. So most prob not that!

yes but that's just looping evolving. and its called producer not loopstation. kba and antrix didn't use a 505
