Im a huge electronic music head and I absolutely love your approach to making electronic sounding music using natural instruments. Some would call this "World" music. Just fuckin great, im a fan
As a musician that can play multiple instruments, what you do is truly incredible. I got nervous watching this from all your constant moving, pressing buttons, picking up different instruments and everything.. definitely great!
This is brilliant! First of all - a great setup that is really well thought out. Secondly, a very nice explanation of how it is set up. And thirdly (and most of all), a great performance. There must be a hundred steps to make that performance work and you did it perfectly. Truly amazing.
This video is exactly what I've been looking for! I've been scrolling through videos of rc 505 trying to find how to best route everything (where to put mixer in chain, how to connect guitar/synths etc) and this is the only video I've found that actually gives me so that info. When I saw who was in it I correctly assumed it was my best bet. I've seen some of his performances and they're actually what inspired me to get an rc 202 (will upgrade when I can) and a novation circuit. I'll probably use my mpc one instead of the circuit, but now I know the best way to route everything. Thanks! Awesome performer!
I have returned to watch/listen to this again. So good to hear some real talent using a Loop Station for more than just mindless beat boxing or techno loops.

Reinhardt...thanks for the "behind the scenes" tutorial....it really shows a lot of the technical bits that you can't see when watching your other videos...all of those small mixer/delay/rc505 filter tweaks .....you're truly a master, not only on your instruments, but the live arrangement technique is awesome.....THANKS ! (from a fellow busker based in the UK)
I used to have loads of fun on fruity loops years ago making music like this, then I taught myself guitar and piano for a change of pace, I'm going to get a similar set up to you and have loads of fun creating more music. Thanks for showing the kit you use!
Wow! The best video I've seen for ages. Vistas of God's own country, techno geek stuff & the best looping ever! Beautiful, cosmic stuff. The head-cam was a clear demonstration of how I'll never have the brainpower to do be able to do it.
If you ever come tour in the US I'd definetly pay to watch this. It's just entrancing! (Hence the genre). I'm half tempted to go to south Africa just to see you perform live!
Dude, this is literally what i'm always dreaming about. Just having all sorts of exotic instruments, a loop station and then just creating music from sqratch. I'll get myself a RC 505 this fall and then start with recording some solid beatboxing tracks. Damn! So good : ) Subbed
Very mesmerizing. Very relaxing. I just ordered 505 yesterday, was looking up 505 looping and different styles of music. I came across your setup video. Thanks for taking time to show your equipment and setup.
William you will be very happy with your new boss RC 505. People are saying it is the best one available and I can believe it. I noticed several people are asking about how to MIDI sync it with drum machines. It is so simple it's not even funny. You just link them together with a midi cable and they figure it out on their own. Everything seems to auto sync with tempos also At least that's how easy it is with my equipment.
You are master of many things knowing how to work with looper knowing how to connecting all that stuff together from the other hand knowing how to play different musical instrument and how to mix them and creat the magical music god bless u
You are amazing and inspirational I just started my journey to become a film composer and this video has motivated me great deal, thanks for sharing your creativity.
hi Raimond....i remember you from cape town...we even did a session....i was the singer from germany....you played with another guy that time in cape town....gosh, you are great man! keep on!!
Hi Reinhardt, i am a Musiccomposer, and Multiinstrumentalist,my Problem all the time,i have to work for a live Gig with many Muscians, that's is Normal for all Composers. Now i am Retired und living in Thailand, and sometimes i like only playing a small Gig,and in Thailand i found not realy fast good Musicians. This Looping is a great Option for me,play alone small Gigs.Than's a lot
Beautiful. I also have the RC 505. In the learning hoops to figure how I can use maximize my Roland synthesizers performance. I usually use my synthesizer which have the effect’s built in I need. But I figured the RC 505 can help give my music a modern edge.
I'm a subscriber and have to say your music has been a great inspiration during my process of learning to loop. Thank you so much for this series! You have a lot to offer the world 🍻
I love this music. It reminds me of the background music on the old computer generated visuals VHS tapes that I used to play in the early/mid 90s when djing at raves.
This is awesome man. I'm here for all the creative videos of you with the RC-505. Really like when you explain how your doing what your doing on there. Workin on learning mine always
You shock me every time I see your videos my friend, and a big thumbs up for your dad too. What's funny here is, I also have that RC 505, Novation Circuit, same Mixer, Zoom H6 and never used it still in the box... lol its sad on my part I know. Great job brother
Amazing musical palette, wonderful tones, superb tune! But most also, thank you for sharing your connectivity process. I had never thought to put my boss looper after the mixer. But if you are making music like this, there is no reason for me not to - it makes sense for the work /sound flow. Thank you for the tip!
That was really really interesting. I want one of those Loopers for some simple stuff from my own entertainment but when I watch what these guys can do with these things in a live environment it's miraculous. I love love love being exposed to this new way of Music in the digital age
Great video Reinhart. This is one that I can really appreciate especially since I just bought a boss RC 505 Loop Station. An incredibly awesome machine with unbelievable flexibility. My Rig consists of that as well as my new Behringer Model D also extremely impressive. I also have a pair of wk-3000 workstations and a Yamaha shs10 keytar. It is all midi. There is also some pedals and a couple Mike's with effects petals and of course the mixer. I record to a Tascam DR-05. if I ever were to be bored I suppose that will no longer ever be a problem. Lol. Thank you and great job!
Thanks for the kind words! It's only a please, I'm in the process of making another video where I will be going deeper into the RC-505 settings and more tips :) it will be out very soon!
Hey Joe and Reinhart, do you have any info for how you use midi with your rig? I’m just getting started with this. I use Ableton loads and would love to figure out how to use MIDI to trigger the start/end of the individual loops.
Rob, I'm not sure that I can help you much on that considering the fact that the only thing I use a computer for is to store my digital recording files. People find it interesting how that my very high tech sounding music and Beats are made with no computer attached. In my setup I use the boss RC 505 C and a pair of identical Casio WK 3000 digital synthesizers and the Behringer Model D 3 oscillator analog synthesizer. Then occasionally I will bring in my beloved red Yamaha shs10 keytar. All of it is connected through MIDI. I can set the tempo on any of my devices and all other devices will match and synchronize automatically. Both wk-3000s, the boss RC 505 and the Yamaha shs10 all have their own built-in drum machines. I can trigger the starts and stops with the Synchro start stop features that all of the drum machines have built in. I can use either the start-stop button on any of the drum machines or by just pressing a key. I would assume that if you go through the menus on the boss rc-505 or the Appleton live program and make sure your midi channels are matched accordingly. . . Then there should be an easy way to accomplish what you're trying to do who is triggering start and stop looping.
The POV artist can was golden. Thank you for sharing your flow. I’m getting a 505 and am honestly a little bit scared of the potential that will come out of it. Keep inspiring and creating! ✨👁🌟👁✨
