@11:20 In my experience both in low stakes cash games and tournaments, when an EP opponent donk leads flops it's almost always top pair or a flush/straight draw. It's almost never "absolute garbage".

in general, they go for xr with the super strong stuff. donks tend to almost never have nutted hands (except in special cases - like large donks in multi-way pots or 3bp)

On the wet dynamic flop clean run out example you advocate the big river bluff with a hand like 76s, "to get hands like AJ to fold". However using the exact same example and the same flop & turn line in another video, the "One question to rule them all" video you say that that you wouldn't expect villain to fold AJ to a river shv and therefore you wouldn't want to go all in with a hand like 76s. The only difference between the 2 examples i think unless im missing something is that you have a little over 2x pot in this example as opposed to 1.6x pot in the other video. This doesn't seem like a massive difference on the surface. Am I missing something?
depends on villain! if you think they’ll fold aj sometimes, and kj qj a lot - jam w the bluffs. if you think they’ll never fold aj and kj - jam with the value and go small w the bluffs. up to you to determine the player you’re against.

Yeah seriously, some online games are quite tougher. I’d suggest playing against some opponents as if they are “pros” and do things hungryhorse would do against pros slightly more often

Last night I play a hand where I got AQ as the pre flop aggressor and I knew both of my opponents is capped at one pair or less and I still didn’t have the courage to bluff the turn and the river and the show down the winner was a second pair on the flop. Which was the skill level I need to improve. So I finally one hand pulled the trigger with AJ using the blocker to bluff and took the pot down. I still need to improve

the J9xx flush draw spot is kinda interesting. its funny bc its kinda exploitative in the sense that 1. people in live poker don't bluff enough, and therefore 2. people too easily fold top pair in many nodes where that is some of the best hands you arrive at river with. In that spot, most Jx with a spade becomes a call, and even all Jx can call, losing only a small amount of EV (less than.1bb, so basically become indifferent to an almost pot size bet). I think its interesting since if someone is tripling off there with a hand as bad as 67s, than you have to basically always call with any Jx, as they are likely way overbluffing in that node. tldr: having a protected range oop is hard and more people playing 5/5 and up would benefit from looking at a solver every now and then

I've seen a lot of players at live 2/5 donking flop as PFC lately with very strong hands. I suppose we just need to be aware of specific villains' tendencies when running these plays.
I find a lot of top top will just call down when draws miss, even to an over-bet shove. So many people feel invulnerable with AJ on J9243 with no flush, particularly when I bet all 3 streets. Easier to just get max value from over pairs, sets, two pair than to try to bluff them off.
You just bet smaller with bluffs then. All of these apply only to live recreational players, not that you use such an unbalanced strategy vs a competent villain.
i disagree. most people have zero idea what they're looking for when looking into "physical tells" and have no ability to discern the difference. execute with a sound strategy, worry about the physical tell stuff once you've captured 99% of the low hanging fruit.

Once I make that big river bet, I try to forget about what I have and what they might do, and I check the TV to see if the Lakers are still up.
People do this quite a lot against me, going 1/3 when flush comes in, expecting me to raise with a flush. When I do have a flush, I often just call. They blast river, I call and get all their shit. So thanks for that content.

it only looks like we’re trying to get aj to fold because i said we want aj to fold. in game - we don’t announce our intentions.
Are all these plays for recs not regs bc these sizing seem super bluffy so I think good players will call light in some of these spots.
