But there you go, didn't disappoint!
Having given limbo a fair chance, I found focusing on limbos 1 and 3 and only using his 4th for more controlled clusters of enemies, opens limbo to more ways to play and build. For those unaware limbo is quite simple once you understand how his 1 and 3 interact - allowing you to put things in and out of the rift without using the 4th ability, simply press 1,3,1 and a cluster of things are now rifted, and you can just keep pressing that to have complete control over the tileset. In short limbo functions quite well with no helminth abilities, but depending on your build subbing out his 2 or 4 is much more optimal than removing his 1 or 3. As an example limbo can be used as a pretty great support frame, using his augment to heal allies in the rift, alongside putting well of life over one of his abilities, you can make pretty much any frame with any build pretty immortal - without really disrupting others game play. Side note - Most other warframes abilities example mesa 4th, can still effect things out side of the rift while rifted.

Since Limbo has plenty of energy regen from interacting with the rift plane, many people dump efficiency. So probably good to note that hold cast for his 1 will force all banished targets out of the rift plane, regardless of which plane Limbo himself is in and their distance from him, and costs no energy. (Of course, enemies within Cataclysm will immediately return to the rift plane, which isn't particularly useful, but will deal 300 impact damage to them twice).
Limbo mains will tell you real quick: you need to have a public build and a solo build. They play different and mixing them before his mechanics are second nature to you is probably going to piss off your public groups
I prefer playing Limbo via this sort of ‘Viral Banish’ mindset. Essentially treating ‘Banish’ has a sort of status which you spread virally by ‘Rift Torrent’. Limbo is a top tier CC and damage frame. People hate him because new players using Cataclysm but the reality is so few people know how to use him or truly understand his kit to the point they just think he’s a bad frame.

Another little quirk i just realized is because cataclysm does blast damage when collapsing, you COULD use a single topaz blast to shields shard to regenerate shields so you have a shield gate for casting it again. This will get nerfed WHEN DE changes that shard to only work on blast status effects as stated though.
God forbid Limbo 4th gets any help 😂
I use Limbo as more of a run and gun frame now; dipping in and out of the rift as needed. Mostly run Whisper or Gloom. I have it small bubbled for defense objectives not really using him as intended however, I enjoy it from time to time.

@@wellplayedninjas I will say top 1 most slept on frame, 99% of people don't know how his whole kit works at all, it doesn't help every single big Warframe content creator openly shits on Limbo, hell the only OG Warframe partner that still uploads semi-frequently Tactical Potato still says he is a Troll frame and all others have really forgettable takes not worth mentioning.
They need to revert nullifier mechanics to how they worked in the past, enemies inside their bubbles were immune to abilities but the bubbles didn't DISABLE your powers. So nullifiers could walk into cataclysm and as long as their bubble was up they and enemies inside would not be effected.
I can't see them doing anything else besides that to make him useful against corpus or corrupted factions. He's a little iffy vs Infested too but not as much as factions with nullifiers. He's best against grineer and murmur.
I tested limbo a while back using silence and rift torrent and my corrosive falcor lets me one shot acolytes due to the 1,000% damage i can get on steel path :)

Oh yeah and i forgot to mention they absolutely need to improve his Cataclysm augment so the bubble actually grows larger (up to its max size) when getting kills. It only increases the duration which isn't great imo@@wellplayedninjas
@@Darthmufin i actually like it to not get too big, i like to play limbo somewhat centered, chasing kills is kinda lame, i tried explaining that in the build explanation portion
Well then you would use your normal range build, im not saying to let it increase to max range, im saying make it as big as it is normally when you cast it. @@wellplayedninjas
Nullifiers are only really a problem if you are relying on cataclysm and only cataclysm to put things in the rift, its why i usually recommend that if you subsume a limbo ability dont make it banish, since its the main way around a single nullifier destroying your setup. I also just find banish works better with his 3 for large groups or enemies but cat would be better if you just want to go in, kill enemies and move on. You also lose the ability to force enemies out of the rift with ease by subsuming his banish
I just dont take him into nullifier title sets, i spoke with a few limbo mains and i get the whole 1-3-1 combo but to me its a little cast spammy and i wanna focus on shooting and less micro managing. It’s not a skill issue but a fun issue.
Don't use the bubble for rifting just banish enemies then surge then hold banish and repeat till everyone is f#$@&d

limbo main here i feel if u want to do this kind of gameplay larva is not needed or u can subsume over the 4th ability i am a cataclysm hater here has it is not good in pubs and not good vs corpus i use 1 then 3 then hold cast 1 this pulls enemy's into rift while controlling it a bit more and helps when it teams (i use barrage plus 2 greens for full strips from in the rift with breach surge has in pubs i can use it before jumping out of rift or use it with 1 and 3 for rift surges increases to breach surge and many other builds like thermal sunder) and in pubs with this it lets u pick a place a bit away or just 1 side of the objective and keep yourself and your full control there with nullifiers u can jump into there bubble and one shot them without losing the bubble u normally use where with the 1 and 3 i dont need to and can just right it with a dash right after 1shoting it and makes it so only really the shock eximus becomes scary

Limbo is way a better frame than most of the other frames that benefit from more casting speed with the only exception maybe being Dante, Limbo's damage with Rift Torrent scales infinitely which is something those other frame lack, Limbo also doesn't need the 2 green Tau Forge Archon shards everyone is running since armor becomes quite irrelevant when the Slash proc from your main weapon is hitting for 1.5 million per tic of damage meaning you are free to add some other Shards that make Limbo even more stupidly broken by virtue of existing with some careful planning, in the other hand Exismus units are also not an issue and neither are Acolytes when the second they enter your range they just get hit by a massive wave of damage.

As a Limbo main I personally do not approve of you subsuming his 1, because cataclysm is useless once you understand his 1-3 combo. Also you can easily pop the bubble with the miter with augment or a high fire rate weapon. If interested I have several videos trashing the corpus.
Explain his 1-3 combo? My knowledge on Limbo excludes this. I really enjoy his 4th and didn’t struggle in SP with my build at all.
@@wellplayedninjas the way it works is once a target is banished you can cast surge on them. Surge has a mechanic where if the target leaves the rift they do a banished explosion that pulls in nearby enemies including the original. To trigger this hold banished to activate the 3 then reactivate the 3 again banishing and rebanishing over and over to control the map and allows you to avoid enemies like nullifiers. It’s stupid strong and is how limbo actually works. It’s why you can subsume cataclysm and get the effects of a map wide cataclysm with the combo without ever worrying about the bubble popping. It’s in all of my videos too. It also is cheaper than constantly casting cataclysm and gives you way more freedom on which enemies you want rifted. In addition (super secret stuff) the banish explosion avoids nullifiers and pulls THEM IN.

@@Sci-Fi_Freak_YT a perfect explanation, I decided to give a second chance to Limbo after NovaUmbral's video on him and once I finally understood debanishing Surged' targets, Cataclysm went to the bin. Since all abilities go through the rift plane, many helminth work while on safety, and a fun combo I made was Tenet Ferrox's thrown mode + Breach Surge. Add in the new armour strip from the shards, mod it for corrosive & get one with base magnetic and you got a polyvalent tool of lazy destruction.
Sadly, he is little effective and hard to "use" with random squads in a comfortable way, and that is a massive issue.

God forbid you play Warframe in anything besides endurance these days, amirite? Build looks solid - only advice I could give is don't worry about any arcanes that require taking damage because Limbo typically doesn't want to get hit at all. That said, unless you're playing further than SP lvl 200, it doesn't really matter, so...

My builds are meant to follow the simple logic of “hey look what i made its fun you should try it!” Thats all i want. Bring back the fun in warframe and focus less on the grind 🫡
