been playing warframe for over 7 years and ive never seen limbo being played this way. fantastic showcase and love the video's execution, i'll definitely give this a shot!
Most times I see a limbo it's a newbie who's leveling it and doesn't know how to account for teammates with the rift. Most times I play, all I need is just a couple enemies for my incarnon headshots, while using stasis to make it more obvious the enemy has been rifted. And if I see someone stuck in rift I let them know to roll or I undo my banish and find another group of mobs 😅 Very much a player awareness frame in pubic and groups
@Sci-Fi_Freak_YT I mean I guess but at min range I'll just go play nezha instead Thankfully, though, most of the ppl I play with are using ability-spam frames (esspecially w/ dante) so we be in there like swimwear. I DO have neg duration though.

One of the best options for helminth is silence from banshee, since it stops exilus from using abilities, alias stops them at all from damaging you in the rift Thx for the melee influence tip
I'm a simple man. I prefer hearing a sequence of abilities used with numbers instead of their ability names. There are too many warframes to remember them all. For example, to make this work have your 2 active, followed by your 1, then 3, 1, and finish with your 3 again.
I really like this video and idea. Ive never liked limbo because he seemed very one dimensional, and it was always just cataclysm. Ive been building frames i dont see very often like baruuk and chroma and ive fallen in love with their playstyles. Limbo might be my next project

Great video! One thing to think about, Amalgam Argonak Metal Auger + dark dagger + xata's whisper. This gives 3 types of CC, armor strip and spreads via Melee Influence. With the damage buff, this should shred anything you come across.
This is awesome !! I put tempest barrage on his 4th instead of radial blind since it staggers enemies and also primes them. I subbed out equilibrium for 2 tau purple shards so i can use viral tempest and its enough energy to keep me going. The builds super fun- it brought new life to limbo
Helminth Option: Silence - Turn those threatening eximus units into bullet sponges. also if your drop efficiency and maybe a little bit of str for duration you dont have to worry about timing as much and then you just gotta slap on some casting speed shard like you said. maybe one for energy on start so that you dont have to wait to go off. Survivability isnt an issue if you put your dodge roll on a quick flick option like Mouse wheel up cause you can just dodge into the rift setup stasis dodge roll out and start the loop with the pre-stun ready.
Hey! Someone who actually plays him correctly, and made a video on it. Limbo is one of my most played, if not my most played (is most, if you combo the time played between normal and prime). I generally solo, as you stated that's when Limbo is best. My build is nearly identical to yours, but with Umbral Intensify being the flex slot for my build. A tip for group play is to actually leave cata up so your teammates have an easy way to interact with the rift. The bubble is massive, and you can focus more on recasting surge frequently. A couple major tips you missed: Do not under value a lot of subsume abilities. You can use the Precision Intensify now, which really opens up your options. Rift Torrent is still very strong with 95% strength. Just don't use Gloom. Lol I personally suggest changing your energy color to something that doesn't contrast. Muting the colors makes seeing enemies movement much, much easier. It takes away the pain of overguarded enemies. Combined with Silence, most enemies are entirely ineffective, even acolytes.
@@Ianpact I think your question is rather flawed. Pretty much all frames can be built to play solo. The better question is: which frames help other frames shine brighter? My #1 favorite frame to have in a team is Harrow. That allows the others to build around his existence, amplifying their performance as they now effectively have more mod/arcane slots. The frames that give a lot of overguard (Dante, Styanax, maybe Frost?) have a similar effect, as teammates can ignore building for any sort of survivability. There's definitely more, but I don't want to write an essay. Lol
For a more squad friendly playstyle, I recommend specialising more into strength, lower duration, and lower range. If the latter two stats aren't totally nuked, but merely reduced, you can localise your rift effect, reducing the chance of annoying your squad. With this being the case, put Breach Surge over Stasis. It has a longer duration, and hits through the rift. Cataclysm can then be used to drag enemies in on the initial cast so you don't need to leave the rift, and thereafter you use the held banish. Enemies walk around too, even though they can't attack, so you can still get pretty huge overall range, just at a lower speed. Plus, +damage buffs life Rift Torrent actually apply twice to glaive explosions, so I've heard. Mod a Falcor for a melee influence setup, build for pure corrosive damage, and then use the forced electric procs to trigger it. Two emerald shards will then do exactly what you expect with this. Plus if your squad still has an issue with the rift, you can just stay in the rift and spam Breach Surge to still help your squad at no real risk to you

I actually considered using Limbo in Void Cascade with him mainly being a gun platform to take out the Thrax and Acolytes, and using his abilities to CC most of the enemies (Grineer mainly, until I can finish my Miter incarnon setup to deal with Corpus Nullifiers). Would subsuming Silence on Limbo be a good idea for this kind of setup? Silence will stun most enemies and stop Eximus units (and Acolytes too though I’m not too sure about that), from casting their abilities, which is mainly what kills him 99% of the time. Though they can still move in the Rift, their projectiles should still remain frozen, but I don’t plan on using Cataclysm anyways. I would then maybe add 2 emerald shards for armor stripping anf just use Rift Torrent to increase the damage my guns use. Does this seem like a good idea?
As a Limbo main rift surge has always been my personal painpoint. This video is helpful in figuring out the potential of using rift surge. Although I personally play as a limbo Eclipse tank, which is fine because I love playing in public missions and melee combat with the Ants "stalker acolytes."
I do appreciate the lack of hubris one might normally find in a limbo video. That being said I'm not sure how anybody is still missing the 3+1 trick since its the super big secret that gets shown every time someone makes a limbo guide. you explained it better than most tho

This makes him perfect, he is an absolute God with this setup, nothing can touch you if you play it right. For Eximus, stay out of range and use Vazarin iFrame Dash and Rift Surge to survive and take them down

This is a very good video, especially after not getting what he does for years. I hope they really do something about CC and Eximus... Limbo should be just able to affect them, cc in general. The slow and disarm that abilities gave made them not harmless, but the game more comfortable, which CC should be doing. And perhaps someday they will allow things like, Dashing in and out of Limbo for all Players and make the Enemies in the rift more obvious. It would be great to just have them Invisible when you are on the opposing side, but that Effect on the ground still indicates there is something moving.
Apparently they thought of letting other players damage though the right for 75% of their damage, not atrocious but still discourages use of rift unless necessary for locking a map. But also interception becomes a standing sim, once I break overgaurd on an eximus, they're frozen like the rest. It becomes one of the top two most boring mission types alongside mobile defense. I just kinda wait for the mission to end on solo because I'm safe and killing just spawns more when I'm there for the event/raid reward not the slaughter 😂
Exhalted weapons work thu the rift and one melee has a augment to work thru the rift so if limbo wants to walk around invincible without bothering others
To be fair you dont really need to max out your range considering how fast the rebanish spreads rift anyway. Its def worth building for if its the only thing you will be doing on limbo but personally I prefer base range so I can use cat as like a death chamber to shoot in from while procing his 3 on anything that is around the edge of it, once taking it down theres usually a good few enemies still in the rift cause of his surge and as such you can do the combo a few times.
Breach Surge has most of the functionality of Radial Blind, can be animation cancelled into other abilities, and its sparks ignore the rift. Do with this information what you will 🙂

In case you still need an answer, you have some options: casting speed, max energy, starting energy, equilibrium (purple). You could maybe go red or purple for crit damage if you want that. Probably some others I'm forgetting off hand.
Basically: 1) Dodge into the Rift (Shift) 2) Cast Stasis (2) 3) Cast Rift Surge (3) 4) Hold Banish onto enemies (hold 1) 5) Cast Rift Surge again (3) 6) Kill enemies with your weapon of choice and the huge multiplier of Rift Torrent (the video uses a viral+electricity melee with Melee influence to spread viral) Is this correct? I let my Diriga spread Viral on enemies with Arc Coil, does it work through the Rift since it's an ability? That way I'm able to run other damage types on weapons
I feel like silence would be quite good on him as the funny thing about eximus units is they cannot shoot under stasis but their aura still function, so silence to cancel them out would be quite nice
Good explanation of Warframe's most convoluted & unclear ability. I still wish Surge automatically detonated itself on jump to a non rifted enemy so you could aford to run low duration Banish + Rift Surge with less reliance on grouping abilities.
someone help. im trying this rotation, but my cataclysm still has an end. in other words i am forced to leave the rift; i cant keep up the rift, statis, banish rotation... what am i doing wrong? how does cataclysm go on forever?

I'm confused why you're running equilibrium with synth deconstruct. How are you getting enough health orbs? Also, you're running a bunch of DMG and defense mods on the kavat and no bond mods that offer utility. Duplex bond alone would help with energy.
@@xslite300 Eximus cant use their abilities inside the radius of Silence so having a large range is fine since youre not using it for the 2 second stun.
@@xslite300 The abilities are the only thing that can hurt Limbo in the rift. Eximus being unable to cast them means you don't have to worry about them.

If you use breach surge on the subsume the banish explosion would double dip damage. Highly recommend trying it out for crazy room clears.

You can hold enemies in rift with surge and banish to just like, store your buff for disruption.
Need 5 tau casting speed to even pull that off in disruption
For dealing with exists and acolyte, maybe replacing the 4 by silence would be a solution

It does. You will just have to wait for the banish duration to run out and recast it. You don't need grouping abilities, just a good amount of range.
Limbo os my Frame, I have his Cataclysm, His Surge and a fun Eclipse Build. The Fourth is my Most loved with a Secret Build

never noticed that the first could be held down to detonate.... build my limbo with 23% duration for 2ish seconds of banish duration so i just spam torrent for constant knockdowns xD
I hope if they rework limbo they give him a way to play well with others. I was a limbo main when i first started the game because i played solo, but using him with other people is just bad.

I'm confused why you're running equilibrium with synth deconstruct. How are you getting enough health orbs? Also, you're running a bunch of DMG and defense mods on the kavat and no bond mods that offer utility. Duplex bond alone would help with energy.
I abuse Lua spy, not Steel Path. Going on three years, 20 runs a week. Still don't have everything I need from Lua.
A good option for the 4th slot is Silence, since it prevents eximus from using their abilities.

@@xslite300 Eximus cant use their abilities inside the radius of Silence so having a large range is fine since youre not using it for the 2 second stun.
@@Purturtur the problem wasnt the abilities, its the overguard that wasnt allowing them to be brought into the rift
@@xslite300 The abilities are the only thing that can hurt Limbo in the rift. Eximus being unable to cast them means you don't have to worry about them.
Currently limbo’s 1st ability is bugged instead of 33s it only lasts for 1.5 seconds, game saw this and said nah you can’t use it XD
To clarify it only happens in simulacrum but during missions it works as intended 33s
