It's unusual that your battery is on the left side of the boot and not the right side

My understanding is that BMW had the battery on the opposite side of the driver seat. Being a RHD that would make sense for it to be on the left. The reason we all love BMW with their forward thinking decades ahead of their time. This is to have better weight distribution.
