it is said that it is difficult to live than die. if people who are not terminally ill doesn't mean that they have no right to die. there are many who suffer silently like depression and have no courage to commit suicide or they cannot put their family to shame. there comes active euthanasia where one can die with dignity and get rid of their sufferings. I insist as passive euthanasia is legal same should be for active euthanasia. let's hope for the best.

They slip away peacefully and quickly, no longer having to live in constant pain/exhaustion due to old age. If we afford our pets the luxury to slip away like that once they can’t live life happily and comfortably anymore, why don’t we give our elderly that luxury? When someone gets so old that life is no longer pleasurable to live, that should be an option. I certainly know I will not want to continue living at 80 when I can’t remember anything and can’t even control my bowels anymore. I don’t want to be in an old folks home or assisted living home. I don’t want others to have to care for me like I’m a dog. At that point I want to slide into a peaceful death and see what comes next.
