Wrench every day :D This black annoying Alfa 159 on M40 on wednesday evening that was me, and must say You are very well behaved driver far better than usual Ferrari standards in UK, even my wife did admit that. Regards Daniel.
I love that you’re sticking with this car and slowly “restoring” it rather than the usual RUclipsr cliche of swapping out a brand new car every 6-12 months. It’s really interesting to watch and your passion for the 360/Ferrari really shows and is quite refreshing.
You're really the only authentic car RUclipsr left. I love it when you talk about your own cars. I have zero interest in sponsored informercials where some guy "reviews" a brand new car he drove for an hour. Keep up the good work!!
Just thought I would mention. If your phone doesn't automatically sync when you get in the car each time, you might have to snip the power wire and attach it to the remote (blue) wire coing off the head unit. These Becker radios tend to have 12+ positive where that adapter is wired on the Ferrari and Porsche badged units. Which of course will also drain your battery over a couple of days or so too.
Radio battery draining becomes a problem on a trip when the car might not be on trickle charging. Great that this has been raised and also highlights how it can be best to get professional help on installations!
+1 to the power drainage, which these are notorious without any modifications! Also he didn't mention that you'll lose the (optional) CD-changer connectivity as the BT-module comes into its "slot" behind the head unit. Millenials (etc.) wont care, but I like to have my 360 as OEM as possible, therefore I'll rather use a "BT FM-transmitter". Plus it can be removed whenever I want as it plugs to the cigarette lighter socket.
Salt spraying up under the car gets everywhere. I’d suggest having Waxoyl sprayed on before winter use! Rust proofing on a twenty year old Ferrari was not as good as on the latest models, plus any applied when it was built may have worn off.
I never listen to the radio in my current nor previous Ferrari’s as the engine /exhaust noise pretty much drowns it out! I think hearing whats going on with the engine sound can alert one to any issues too. On early Ferrari cars the sound of the weber carbs plus Ansa exhaust note it really unique and just worth hearing! That was in each of the four 308 GT4’s I had between 1985 to 2011. I’ve had Mondial 3.4 & 3.2 since but they have no carb sound as they are injected. Exhaust notes vary too. I dislike the sound of the stainless steel exhaust fitted to my current Mondial, and a better sound comes from the original Ansa mild steel one. Mild steel resonates at a less shrill note. This difference is noticeable on long car rides. Years ago I used wide bore copper piping 1.5” to make a straight-through exhaust, no silencer, on a 1934 Morris 8! That made it sound awesome. Copper pipe has a deep pleasant sound and should be experimented with just for fun! Any car sounds awesome with a copper exhausts! I did one for my 1934 Riley Kestrel 9 too and altering the pipe length tunes the sound! My pal with Megaphone trumpet exhausts on his 288 GTO was easily the best sounding Ferrari ever. There’s an exhaust shop in Hucknall, Notts that made those for him. There’s no need for costly after-market exhaust systems as the pipe material and a simple bell-mouth pipe end can improve any car sound! Radio listening in a Ferrari is wasting a big part of having the car! Ferrari are all about the engine!
That blue Challenge Stradale is beautiful, but your 360 is quite stunning. Great work, Sam! I’m excited to see what you’ve got planned with Ferrari and Shell!
Still enjoyed it Sam and nice to see no bullshit RUclips falseness…just exactly how you experienced fitting the head unit. The same process we all go through
Just realized you slide your seat every time you get in it - obviously because of the 4-point-seatbelts. Curious how the seat mounts and rails are holding up.
Cheers for sharing PCP stuff too was great to hear. I’m in same boat got 3 years left on mine (never had before) although through dealer, hoping to go for GR Supra next, glad to hear process is quite streamlined. Nice to see the Ferrari getting Serviced.
Don’t know how many variations of these adapters I now put in various 90s/2000s cars to continue using the stock radio. Sometimes the first thing I do, don’t know how you managed for four years 😂
Thanks! Good news you are taking your 360 on a road trip adventure, although precious, you are actually using your Ferrari. And I had an idea, how about a new STG, "Storage Wars" segment in 2022? Many covered beauties in need of a review✌😎
It road trip time for the 360 in winter! This be great 👍 content . Sam great see the car well taken care of. I though you upgraded into radio lot more then that at first
I have Sottozeros on my Hellcat Widebody (305 width!) and they are fantastic. Used through three New England winters so far. Expensive, but cheaper than an accident.
Just wondering, what cables did you disconnect from the back of the stereo, and leave disconnected? I’m guessing some feature won’t work now... were they for a CD Autochanger or steering wheel controls? 🤔
Few questions about the tyres: 1. Wouldnt all-season tyres be a better option? Usually are for mild climates like England. These sizes are quite available i think. 2. I know a second set of wheels would be quite expensive. But putting tyres on/off wheels is a good way to dry them out. Also damage to the wheel is much more likely in winter so a cheap winter wheelset would be the best option me thinks..
I admit you got me here. Improving the stereo is to improve the ride quality. A 20 years old Ferrari is a vehicle to enjoy the vehicle itself and maybe not so much the rides. I suspect if the goal is to enjoy a ride somewhere, the Ferrari isn’t going to be your first pick.
If you’re driving 8 hours across the continent a nice engine is good to have, but a decent stereo passes the time. Sitting there with nothing but engine drone is fun for about 30 minutes, then you kinda wish you had music.
The noise of my 360 rarely warrants a stereo but to save on fuel consumption it is occasionally nice to listen to some calming melody’s. I tried out the cigarette Bluetooth style adaptor but it makes an awful whining noise while driving slowly. We are currently trialing a couple of these in a 360. Looking to have them available for sale in the New Year with the head uni removal tool. If anyone is interested email me and let me know. Let’s make our beautiful cars even more pleasurable to drive.
Buy a Blueant Commute 3, clip it to your sunvisor and you have full connectivity to your iPhone with speaker and microphone for about a hundred pounds. Job done.
Impressive stereo mod and it only took you taking the stereo out and someone else pushing it back in . Road trip sounds fun . Where did you put the tyres that cam off ?.
She is definitely a keeper. What can TK do that AV can't or vise versa? Or is it just better to have a relationship with more than 1 Ferrari specialist.
So now the Winter Tyres are on isn’t this the perfect opportunity to get some CS Wheels for the Summer and complete the 20 year Birthday renovation with CS mirrors too? 😉
bro, I love your selection of beats that you play in the background in all your videos... can you please add in the description of the videos name beat and producer's... I'd love to jam to those beats
Sam: randomly pushes back the connectors in the back of his stereo. Also Sam, trying to push back the stereo in the hole: "Oh...Something seems to be in the way..." I WONDER WHAT COULD THAT BE... :)
If I were lucky enough to own a car like this I would just own a cheap radio so I could listen to a bit of news or back ground music when the car is off, as I would only want to hear the music of the engine when driving 😉
If you aren’t planning to drive on snow you are probably better off with all season tyres, they are much better in slushy, cold weather, cold wet conditions etc than full winters.
I never realized how much different financing in the Uk is from the states, sounds more like a modified lease agreement that we have here in the states.
My dream challenge stradale would be RHD, yellow, no stripe, full black alcantara interior, Willans harnesses (The Ferrari ones are not the best) normal side windows.
How much was the annual service ? And how much were the winter tyres ? Did d you put them on the existing alloys or have you got a second set for those winter tyres ? Sorry, but being nosey as I’m in a position to buy a used car and was wondering the annual ballpark and I’m sure your subscribers would be too 🏎🧐
Based on my incredibly complex work in this video, I’ll probably open my own garage soon
Don’t give up your day job😎
You should do an internship at Ratarossa’s place, first.

What connection did you replace the bluetooth with? Nice job!
I love that you’re sticking with this car and slowly “restoring” it rather than the usual RUclipsr cliche of swapping out a brand new car every 6-12 months. It’s really interesting to watch and your passion for the 360/Ferrari really shows and is quite refreshing.
Agree it’s how it typically works in real life
Sam's infectious good mood is what keeps his channel so great!;)
You're really the only authentic car RUclipsr left. I love it when you talk about your own cars. I have zero interest in sponsored informercials where some guy "reviews" a brand new car he drove for an hour. Keep up the good work!!

which shouldn't be a problem, since the car is mostly on trickle charger anyway. Anyways good tip, I hope Sam sees this!
Can confirm this 100%! I had the exact same issue.

Yes if only I knew this …swapped CD player from 360 into 355 and had to rewire as drained battery …from outside looks the same but not so …great tip !
Oh my God, that Tour de France spec is absolutely gorgeous...
Nice to see the car again, and getting some winter use when most are tucked up in bed! Bravo sir!
Salt spraying up under the car gets everywhere. I’d suggest having Waxoyl sprayed on before winter use! Rust proofing on a twenty year old Ferrari was not as good as on the latest models, plus any applied when it was built may have worn off.
I have to admit based on the video title, I was expecting a lot more stereo “modifications” 😀
I never listen to the radio in my current nor previous Ferrari’s as the engine /exhaust noise pretty much drowns it out! I think hearing whats going on with the engine sound can alert one to any issues too.

That blue Challenge Stradale is beautiful, but your 360 is quite stunning. Great work, Sam! I’m excited to see what you’ve got planned with Ferrari and Shell!
Sam, you're the absolutely last person I'd want in a crisis moment but, I just love your videos, keep kicking ass.
Sam struggling with a Plastic package and not being able to fit his stereo back in Solidifies him once and for all As A Ferarri Owner 🤣🤣🤣
Still enjoyed it Sam and nice to see no bullshit RUclips falseness…just exactly how you experienced fitting the head unit. The same process we all go through
The blue 360 was beautiful.
How small the 355 looks next to a 360!
Love the channel. I’m not sure how you haven’t passed a million subscribers
because most people want look at me doing donuts BROKE MY LAMBORGHINI, BEING PULLED OVER IN MY LAMBORGHINI sad world :(
Love the start, in a world of blue covered cars... have the red one and looks fab for nearly 20
Just realized you slide your seat every time you get in it - obviously because of the 4-point-seatbelts. Curious how the seat mounts and rails are holding up.
Always a great video from Sam, but even better when the 360 comes out to play.
Cheers for sharing PCP stuff too was great to hear. I’m in same boat got 3 years left on mine (never had before) although through dealer, hoping to go for GR Supra next, glad to hear process is quite streamlined. Nice to see the Ferrari getting Serviced.
360’s really are looking better and better as they mature. 👌🏻 5 spokes and challenge grill ❤️
Every time i watch a video of the 360 all I can hear is Tony laughing haha. But love the 360 update videos
Loving the 360 content 🥰👌
Your car is so beautiful, Sam and thank you for keeping the sound system as stock as possible! I did the same on my 2001 Mercedes!
Your excitement fitting Bluetooth to the car was the exact same as James fitting Apple car play to his Aston.
Good to see you back in Burton Sam, having some new boots fitted to that gorgeous 360.
I missed seeing your 360 on the channel! I love how it purrs on the start-up and idle!
Don’t know how many variations of these adapters I now put in various 90s/2000s cars to continue using the stock radio.
Sometimes the first thing I do, don’t know how you managed for four years 😂
That was the best 0.1 seconds of music I've ever heard!
I was never a big fan of the 360 but I have to say I think it looks fantastic now
Amazing video brother!
You need to get your watch bracelet readjusted Sam, that buckle should me more centered. Great looking piece you have there though!
A tour. Excellent stuff. Certainly something to look forward to watching.
lmao seeing the pure happiness every time you're in the ferrari is the best part of the show
Can’t wait to see the road trip videos, if your Facebook posts are anything to go by they should be awesome….
The 360 looking and sounding as gorgeous as ever 😍 safe journey Sam and enjoy the ride 😎
Soooooooo good to see the 360 out and about 😃
Michelin cross climate are utterly brilliant. Turned the passat wagon sport tdi school run car into a sweetly rotating B road tickler!
I really enjoy that video..great car collection there..bringing back memories..😊
If I had the money I'd pick up that Modena I love it so much
Great video! I'm looking forward to seeing more on the 360!
Love this car, great work Sam
Thanks! Good news you are taking your 360 on a road trip adventure, although precious, you are actually using your Ferrari.

Nice Sam what a great sound!! Who needs a stereo.
Great video!! Subscribed!! Amazing car you own… you remind me of Shmee 🙈
Looking forward to this Sam!
Great content as always…
More Ferrari content ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The vibes you create with the music the editing, just magnificent 👌
Anyone can name the song for me please ??
Sam in his Ferrari in Italy.. looking forward to that for sure! Enjoy living the Ferrari dream!

Oh wow! Didn't realise that AV was a 10 minute drive from my house!
You should apply to work in the smallest cog workshop with those mad skillz
Buy a Blueant Commute 3, clip it to your sunvisor and you have full connectivity to your iPhone with speaker and microphone for about a hundred pounds.

Well Sam did a thing ! 🔥😎
Impressive stereo mod and it only took you taking the stereo out and someone else pushing it back in . Road trip sounds fun . Where did you put the tyres that cam off ?.
TDF blue on tan?? Niiiiiceeee
Narrower rear to enable snow chains to be fitted and to clear the suspension/wheel arch liner etc.
you should put a lite box battery in it saves like 25kg in weight plus can disconnect via phone app
You need to fit some Stradale door mirrors, they look superb
the extent of the RUclips generations mechanical ability slotting a radio back in
Love the blue one 😍
You should do a video with the 360 “CS” that Ratarossa is building when it’s done
With the head unit out you could see the pedals through the space where it sits, I was surprised to see that
She is definitely a keeper.
What can TK do that AV can't or vise versa?

that i s no winter tire, you need stubbs in tire to call it a winter tire!!! love from sweden!!!

Same stereo as my 996 so cool if I can add that BT adapter. Love the ride but I think those seat belts would annoy me
bro, I love your selection of beats that you play in the background in all your videos... can you please add in the description of the videos name beat and producer's... I'd love to jam to those beats
Your front tires are the same that my Gts Arona FR, 215/45 R18. did not expect that xD. it is a problematic size...
Sam: randomly pushes back the connectors in the back of his stereo.
Also Sam, trying to push back the stereo in the hole: "Oh...Something seems to be in the way..."

Ohhhh I’ll have the tdf with tan CS please ….💙
I wonder if the bluetooth upgrade can be done on my Alfa GT? Ive had enough of those iffy ones that link to the radio.
I'm thinking the same. I have one of those crappy one the plug in to the cigarette lighter on my 09 CLK.
If I were lucky enough to own a car like this I would just own a cheap radio so I could listen to a bit of news or back ground music when the car is off, as I would only want to hear the music of the engine when driving 😉

Hi Sam. Have you installed a mic as well? If yes, how's the voice quality while driving?
I can only hope that black 360 spyder belongs to Lando Norris!!
EDIT: "And I'll catch up with you very soon". When did that sign off change?!
Interesting on how Ferrari widens the track on the front axle opposed to making it smaller on the rear axle.
Sam, what about spacers for the 360?
Where are the old tyres ? Did you just leave them at the fitters ?
Where did you get the Bluetooth adapter from ?. I could do with one of those as I'm running out of tapes to play in my 360.
I’m also interested. Sam - can you link the unit you installed here?
