- When a guy with a demented mind gets ahold of tools and a 1965 Volkswagen Beetle, the result can only be the Frankenbug: a rusty, scarred, Frankenstein rat rod dragster with a massive 504 cubic-inch blown, inter-cooled big block making 1220 horsepower with nitrous, wide drag race slicks producing epic burnouts, and a hideous chopped body merged from two VW shells. So, do we even dare turn on the nitrous? Can we drive that much horsepower on the street? Nicole Johnson explores the unique creation and turns heads cruising the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Nicole, you are my hero. You have the best job. Your love for the automobile, is so genuine, that we all feel your excitement... I'm amazed at how humble and reserve you are, when you are driving these outlandish vehicles. A lot of shows have people driving amazing cars, but the cars you drive are usually one of a kind. I've noticed a running theme with your videos. Only someone as beautiful, as gracious, and experienced as yourself, could get these people to let you drive something they've never let anybody else drive. What an awesome machine, the chassis is so we'll built, the whole package is absolutely perfect The monster bug is pretty interesting too...I guess, but not even close to as interesting as Nicole. I love seeing every new video, just so I can see what Nicole looks like. Love the tomboy, girl next door look. "Can I have some more please?".
Nicole, you're just so cool. This is another great video, you know your stuff and I really like how you let the builders talk about their creations. You have honest interest in the cars and the story behind them, which makes the show work. And then...you drive the car.... Awesome. I wish you did more of these shows. you're personality is so fun, it makes everything worth watching... Why couldn't you do one a week? I think people would watch. Even my girlfriend likes watching you, you make it that good.

Thanks for the encouragement to do more. The level of production is very time consuming. We research and put weeks into pre-production for every episode, then shoot for 2 days in 4k with well over 1TB of footage, then edit for 100-140 hours per episode. Getting these out monthly is as fast as we can given our small team and even smaller budget. Lately, to keep our sanity, we slow them down to however many weeks they take, 4-8 weeks in all reality. Would love to do more, but that would require massive budgets and a whole lot more people on our production crew. For now, this is what we can put forth without killing ourselves to do it!
Small block stuffs into bugs was pretty common here in the Kentuckiana area, back in the day.
I like the video with the Harley Davison motor in the bug I love bugs they ain't cheap i live in Indiana and the cheapest 67 I found was all messed up and they guy wanted 10,000 for it
