- In this video, I will be showing you how to create your very own Minecraft server. This method does involve port forwarding, but I promise I walk you through it in just a few steps.
For creating the server you will need the following files:
Minecraft Server Soft

Copy & Paste this in bat file:

When I try to run the batch file when it is in the server folder, it just says java is not recognized as an internal or external command, is there any fix to this? I do have Javascript Installed on my PC

this fails at the last spot when connecting to the server in minecraft
The first time it was running smoothly until I went to start the server after updating it for the second time- and in the process, the entire program MC Server Soft froze and I had to close it which caused it to entirely reset and tell me to download it all over again.
The second time it went fine until I started the server again, in which it gave me the message "Failed to bind port! The exception was: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: bind
Perhaps a server is already running that port?" before it closed the server.

i downloaded the Spigot 1.14.3 file, update the server and everything. but once the server is updated, it updated to version 1.13.2 how do i update it to the latest 1.14.3???

Hey i'm having trouble with the start.bat whenever I type that in for the name it stays a notepad do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
You may need to check if your '.NET framework' is updated on your PC. type it into Google and it should be the first thing to pop up
when I do start.bat it still stays as a text document

Type in on google "how to show file extensions" once youve enabled it, you should be able to delete the .txt and change it to .bat

How do you then enable the /op command? I've got friends joining the server at a later date and I want to play now, but I can't enable any commands whatsoever so I can't use the /tp command to teleport players to me.
In your server command prompt type /op your name

Try going in and download java from google, worked for me =)
a funny thing is that i use my own ip adress to connect and cant connect with the server ip but other connects with the server ip
help! i tried to double click the start.bat windows batch file, and it says, "This app cant run on your pc" can you help?

so when I created the text doc it didn't create a bat file. I still moved on and the server worked but when I also needed to update the bat file became an issue as it went into notepad rather than a enter a cmd promt app. How do I make sure that the start.bat actually becomes a batch file?
you probably dont have "file name extentions" checked in your file explorer. its under the view tab
you have to make sure the ".txt" at the end and replace it with ".bat" so startup.bat

on the mcs my ip is an ipv6 and doesn't let me log in with it, althogh when i type 127.0.0.1 (default ip for local host) i could get in. just wondering if this means that i failed the port fowarding and no one can join other than me or?
definitely sounds like failed port forwarding, but there's no way for me to know for sure. I'd go through your steps one at a time again until you get it working
when i download the build tools, it downloads as a notpad file. how do i fix this?

Make sure that you're using your default gateway IP, and not the IPv4

That's definitely too long. That's the IP that you can "Copy to clipboard" on MCSS?
@@KhronikHD Yup, i did copy to clip board, the actual ip can even fit into the shown ip...
@@FrecklesteinHi Frecklestein, have you tried checking your IP? An IP-checking site for example is canyouseeme.org. I had a similar IP to what you said so I checked mine just to make sure, if it's a shorter version without the semicolons then you should use that as your IP.
