I have never tried Sweet Pickins Milk Paint before, but decided it was time to try it on a sofa table. Thought I would share a couple of my mistakes if you are new to milk paint. First off, I mixed up the paint in a container that did not have a flat bottom? My paint was super thin and then I found that a lot of the paint was in the bottom of the container and didn’t get mixed in. Also, when I went to seal the table, I should have put my wax on a paper plate and not used it directly out of the wax container because I got paint chips in my wax. I hope this helps all of you that are new to This paint. I had a great time using this paint and the table turned out great with lots of crackle and chipping!

in the UK the cleaner is called SUGAR SOAP, you get it anywhere B&Q etc, it shifts cooking grease & nicotine, everything, its what decorators use to clean pubs

Girl, you’re so funny! FYI.... the word is Schmutz not schmuck. Schmutz means dirt, grime, unknown crap. Schmuck means an idiot or annoying, stupid person. 😉
Dear Sweet Pickins, I please do more videos. I am re purposing embossed food trays and JRV says SP is food safe. I Would love to see more.

I agree I also don't like it when people don't tell you what's in a bowl or something or they pick something up and start pouring it in and you have no clue what they're pouring in LOL is that water is that vinegar is that tequila LOL I know it's clear so it's not bourbon hehe!! It could be vodka!

So....if we add bond in the second coat too...and it reactivates the bond in first layer...we get more chipping (if that is what we desire)?
Can I paint straight on to an old wood book shelf, that is dark wood, or should I paint it black first?

Can I use SP top coat over chalk paint? Or does it have to be milk paint ?
