at 2:07 i don’t know what’s the music theory going on with the chords or scale used but i found this part of the song absolutely beautiful it’s so satisfying when it drop
I think the main riff uses the notes of D Mixolydian and the transposition of the main riff two frets below uses the notes of D aeolian, so the transition to the second section of the song which is in D aeolian is really smooth. The modal mixing of dorian and aeolian in Radiohead‘s song Lotus Flower is also really great.
I love the playlist you’ve developed. I’m 57 and some of my favorites bands are 80’s/90’s British bands like Radiohead, The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, Stereophonics, James, Suede, The Verve, etc. Great bands with some outstanding music. Thank you for stepping outside the box from the Led Zep, AC/DC, Ozzy, etc. Nothing wrong with that music, I love it too but the bands you’re picking are very worthy. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Tom - really appreciate your comment and the support. One of these days I'll put together an Apple Music/Spotify playlist of all of the songs I've done. I played them because I love the songs... so it should be a pretty good playlist!
Thank you so much! How does Thom sing a different world at the same time! Glorious piece of music.
How do you make tabs so fast? It’s incredible the accuracy and speed you make them.
@@trailrideadventures that is true
Thanks! To be fair this is a song from a while back... they've been exclusive for Patreon supporters but as there are over 200 videos now I'm slowly making them public. I generally do 1 song a week. I'm pretty quick at doing the research and working songs out... and the tabbing is actually the easy bit... it's just a matter of practice. GuitarPro is absolutely brilliant so you get the hang of it after a while! 100% recommend it!
@@SparkyGuitar thanks for the recommendation! I’ll get it once I get better because I can’t tab what I can’t play hahahah. Also that’s a pretty good strategy to do for more subscribers.
@@loyogabriel8039 It's a great learning tool. You can download tabs that people have done and then use it as a training tool. It plays the notes back to you... and you can loop sections and slow it down etc. Great practice tool... so not just a tabbing tool.
More Radiohead and Libertines on here please! 🙏
I’d love to see you do the Numbers by Radiohead
