Radiohead a rare breed of band that refuses to sell out, keeps it low key, respects their audience, produces quality material every album, worldwide acclaim, and has influenced most of the 90's direction with Indie pop.
Say what you like, you may hate them, love them, or just don't care..but they are always respected.

+Koubiak it is pretty basic yeah, but the time and place is perfect.. same goes for a lot of other Radiohead stuff.. as a guitarist I find it easy to transcribe most of their songs (easy compared to most jazzrock tunes I like to transcribe) but I find it immensly difficult to make music out of it the way they do.. it's not just technique, it's much, much more.. and in that perspective the drum fill is genius.

Check out some of there older stuff, I'm sure you have probably heard ok computer that being there most popular album but I honestly think kid a, in rainbows and a moon shaped pool are there top 3 albums besides ok computer but then again all 9 of there full length lps and the I might be wrong ep are all amazing records. It actually took me many time listening to each album of theres over again until I truly appreciated them and then became one of my favorite bands. So many people dont see the pure talent and originality these guys pack in everything they make. Most people who also arent musicians and dont grasp song writing dont understand the perplexity of the strange time signatures they use and somehow manage to make something that on paper shouldn't sound as good as it does, sound perfect and because no other band can pull stuff like that off that's what gives them such a unique and original sound. Basically technically speaking the music they play sounds simple to an untrained ear but to those who fully understand music and what they hear have a whole other love for this band, they break the rules of songwriting and make it sound so easy and unique. Quit a shame more bands like Radiohead dont come around to often but I guess that's a good thing. All the more reason to appreciate them even more. Bands like Radiohead, nirvana, sonic youth and the pixies are still relevant today and will always be for that matter even if it was only ever based on originality alone. This is what lacks in music today, everybody sees something that grabs attention and instead of not paying attention to what other acts/bands do they just copy what is selling at the moment instead of letting the environment that surrounds them be an inspiration and do something different instead of playing it safe for the same followers and not taking chances artistically and taking chances of losing or gaining a fanbase. Instead everyone plays follow the leader or Simon sez, people say everything has already been done and that's not true at all. The simple fact we not only as musicians but as humans all feel and react to every day issues is what makes our art when expressed sincerely so unique and special. The way we all look at something is different for each person, perception is everything and art is subjective.

    [Verse 1]
    I do not understand
What it is I've done wrong
Full of holes, check for pulse
    Blink your eyes
One for yes, two for no
    [Hook 1]
I have no idea what I am talking about
I'm trapped in this body and can't get out
    [Verse 2]
You killed the sound, removed backbone
A pale imitation with the edges all
    Sawn off
    [Hook 2]
I have no idea what you are talking about
Your mouth moves only with someone's hand up your arse
    [Verse 3]
Has the light gone out for you?
Because the light's gone out for me
    It is the twenty-first century
    It is the twenty-first century
It can follow you like a dog
It brought me to my knees
They got a skin and they put me in
They got a skin and they put me in
All the lines wrapped 'round my face
All the lines wrapped 'round my face
And for anyone else to see
And for anyone else to see
    I'm a lie
