One of the rare bands that knows how to make 3 guitar players work. No ego. They know their roles perfectly.
This.
Especially Jonny. Many guitar players with that level of ability of lead guitar often try and be flashy. His musicianship is just mesmerising.
4 on the true
Them and Foo Fighters.
Name me another
Man, I love the bridge in this song.
"has the light gone out for you
Cause the light's gone out for me..."
it is the 21th centuryyy it is the 21th centuryy
@@donato4282 so good!
Guess there is a light that goes out after all
this part is one of my favorite motions in all of rock n roll bruh. so fucking hard
Radiohead writes some gorgeous, passionate and cathartic bridges!
I love how the bass is so loud but it’s tone is made to sound as unnoticeable as possible. It becomes that magic presence
The dark black in between all the stars
You can dig it with a good ser of headphones
everyone is talking about the bass, the guitar, thoms beautiful singing.. but nobody is talking about the work phil is putting in with that constant cymbal tapping throughout majority of the song
ive tried drumming to this, and to jigsaw falling into place, i cant even fathom doing this. phil is an absolute beast
when you nail the whole push and pull technique on the cymbal this and jigsaw become such a blast to play
100% - And even when he’s not on the cymbal he’s still basically doing the same on the tom or the snare hoop. Every once in a while I can keep it up the whole song but I’m dying 😂
The dude is an absolute machine
He’s the modern John Bonham
What I like about the lead singer is he looks like someone who just got out of bed and decided to bolt out a great tune.
"lead singer" you mean the radio guy
umm that's mr radiohead silly
his name is creep
@@metelineblue294no he’s daddy
thom yorke is forever my pookie. oil up.
I'd love to watch this in an IMAX theater
What a great idea!
if I hit the Lotto it's happening lol@@SelenaSea
So no one's gonna talk about that this drummer is like a fucking metronome with a brain?
Love Phil, dudes an animal absolute beast.
He was listening to a click I think
@@lewdtaoist all musicians usually hear clicks, even when they're recording. But keeping such a beat as steady as Phil does is not simple at all. In fact us hard as fuck lol
eles usam o baterista pra regular o metronomo
Yeah no one’s going to talk about it.
2:11 Goosebumps.
I keep replaying that moment over and over again its incredible
Every time

The best live concert from the best album from the greatest band of the world.
Amnesiac is the greatest album of all time
imo the best song from the best live concert from the best album from the greatest band of the world.
Experieced it live. When the "has the light gone out for you" bit kicked in it felt like the sound was coming out of the middle of my soul. That band cannot be topped live
@@andrewf8086 never heard of Muse?
Absolutely agree.
I'm not the biggest Radiohead fan but this is a different level. Jonny Greenwood insane on this
there's only one Jonny Greenwood
The whole In Rainbows session From the Basement is the best work they ever made IMO
I would put king of limbs from the basement on a close second.
I love Radiohead. No, you don’t understand I lov
@@kaldrazadrimin.
I love Radiohead...
What a rhythm section Phil and Colin are.
Still remember binge watching this in college...time flies...
Marco Shan I’m binge watching this in college right now
Matt lol that was back in 2008
Enjoy your college time
@@W3throwbacks I’m binge watching in college now too
I'm doing it now :)
I’m binge watching this in a van down by the river now!
the transcendental switch is almost dangerous while driving
I adore this song, the bridge especially just gets me every time. Colin rocks, always a treasure. One of my absolute favorite bassists.
this is peak rock n’ roll..
having just watched QOTSA, i cant help think of the similar vibe this song has in common with them. 3 guitars with soaring tones and groovy riffs. awesome
QOTSA brought me here too.
I Might Be Wrong reminds me of them for some reason
QOTSA and Radiohead are fcking awesome bands, broooo!!!!
The end of this song and the end of Suture up your Future by QOTSA have very similar vibes.
Radio head one of the greatest bands that ever hit the airwaves.
My favorite of their "straight forward rock songs", along with "Just" :-) just brilliant, love here Radiohead unleashed!
I think we are VERY LONG overdue for a From the Basement series for Ok Computer....
If only... ❤
I used to be wary of Radiohead because of how revered and popular they are (lol) but now I "see" it. This song is top 3 or 4 fave songs ever from anyone.
They aren’t super popular nowodays tho ngl
@@friday3417 yeah they are man what do you mean. 20 million monthly listeners when u commented and theyre at 30 million now (164th artist globally) and thats JUST on spotify lol. ALSO 9 songs over 200 million streams ON JUST SPOTIFY
Love it or hate it, they are amazing.
Love it or love it you mean
Colin is the best rock bassist of the era. Up there with John Paul Jones.
even better sound than on the record
Nice band, I hope they will become famous one day
These videos are so priceless and demanding, I cannot begin to emphasize how grateful I am to have my favorite band in my pocket...
their music so so intricate
This is what you call a fucking classic. Thanks for the reupload!
10 years on. Still glorious live...what an absolute monster. ✊
I could watch this a million times. Incredible performance.
this deserves more views than what it has what a masterpiece that when you first listen you are left speechless. You kind of don't like it but you keep listening to it over and over again and just remember that
"has the lights gone out for you"
beautiful song so crazy.
We bring ourselves the illusion of having an identity, I want everybody else to see what I want them to see, we wear these invisible masks all the time, we are all just lies. That's what Bodysnatchers means to me, deep lyrics.
Similar to “2+2=5”, It seems to be “1984”-themed. About being brainwashed out of your identity by the ruling powers.
Cool interpretation ! I always imaged an alien consciousness, flung into a human body while still retaining parts of its older identity. I definitely see the 1984 themes though.
I mean, the song is literally about locked-in syndrome.
I do not understand
What it is I've done wrong
Full of holes
Check for pulse
Blink your eyes
One for yes
Two for no
I have no idea what I am talking about
I'm trapped in this body and can't get out
You killed the sound
Removed backbone
A pale imitation
With the edges sawn off
I have no idea what you are talking about
Your mouth moves only with someone's hand up your ass
Has the light gone out for you?
Because the light's gone out for me
It is the 21st century
It is the 21st century
It can follow you like a dog
It brought me to my knees
They got a skin and they put me in
They got a skin and they put me in
Oh, the lines wrapped 'round my face
Oh, the lines wrapped 'round my face
Are for anyone else to see
Are for anyone else to see
I'm a lie
I've seen it coming
I've seen it coming
I've seen it coming
I've seen it coming
The best Radiohead song
Best band in the world at this current moment.
This moment? Does 25 years count as a moment?
@@kingofthewolds4120 25 years of current moment, I should have added contemporary.
And this moment will never end
i like the lil flourish from the drummer at 2:46 it's so cool
An absolute jam and a badass performance 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The bridge section ( or the unconventional bridge/ outro section) is just incredible! They dip into like that acoustic ( paranoid android) type of dissonance! Great spacey melodic notes by Greenwood! Then back to that old school like freak out Radiohead style ending to wrap it up! Damn Brilliant!
I’ll always remember 2008! Because I was In Rainbows!!!!!!!!!!!
They need to do another of these. They are so incredibly talented and their stuff is so unique and never ever ever gets boring.
lol bro
This and the Jools Holland versions are the best in my opinion and i heard this song live 2 times.
Didn’t have to flex on me like that.
no jodan esta es la mejor banda del puto mundo, de la historia .. no por mucho, pero sí.
one of the best pieces of music im ever gonna hear
I love Limmy!
One of my favorite performances of all time.
The only negative thing I can say about this video is to the producer or editor who decided to cut away from Jonny at 3:12... WTF man.
I come back here every week
Ahhh this is great! May Radiohead live forever in everybody’s memory.
Good DIY health test - if you don’t get goosebumps on the last bar you are clinically dead.
jonny is surreal!!!
One of my favorites from radiohead, the chorus is fabulous and the whole band is awesome
They gave everything .,deep joy
Ed is so cool
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!
Underrated Radiohead song.
Thom's tone is magnificent
Imagine if Led Zeppelin had played all of their fourth album in order live in a studio back in 1971.
Or the Beatles played Revolver the same way back in 1966.
Or The Velvet Underground played the all of their debut.
Or The Rolling Stones did all of Beggars Banquet.
That’s what this whole set is like.
thank you for posting 🖤
planet Radiohead, possibly one of the best musical places in the universe....Thaynie
esta banda es mi vida
beatles ile birlikte modern müziğin başına gelmiş en güzel detaysınız
kesinlikle, sayısız müthiş grup var ama beatles ve radiohead çok dokunulmaz bir yerdeler.
Performances like this prove that there will never be another Radiohead, and that’s fine by me 👍 seen them 11 times over the years, and those memories are all mine 🤔
Perfection achieved
My favourite song from in rainbows
sou viciado nesse album!
Took me so many years to fall in love with this song. Didn't happen til I was around the age Thom was when they made In Rainbows. Just now really watching them play it on From The Basement as well as the Jools Holland performance. It makes me wonder, how often have they played this at shows? It really seems like a rough song for Thom to get through emotionally.
colin is a monster
These guys gonna be the next big thing!
Bru
Nah they're pretty small
They've been the big thing for like 20 years now
nahh u insane
They've been the best British band since The Bends came out in 1995.
Too bad they don't show Ed during his beautiful swooping melody part in the break down 'acoustic' section. They show Jonny, he plays similar notes, but he picks them, it isn't swooping and sustained. People could get confused who plays the part.
My fav song from IR. 😍 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Jonny's guitar, my Gooooooooooooood! 🤩
This might be my favourite Radiohead song
I seriously can't hear the syncopation properly in the studio version. Here is much clearer
Johnny is definitely my man crush 😍🥰❤️
I love how they all move like rats having seizures
lmao this made me laugh more than I want to, it's so TRUE especially towards the end lmaoo
its interesting seeing thom switch from playing the riff on beat to off beat when the drums kick in, i wouldve thought he was playing it offbeat from the beginning
2:12
1:42 man ed looks like hes having a blast
2:58 my favorite part!
2:12 Just one of *_those_* moments.
💜
I just keep coming back idk...
I love you guys ❤
Real Fire Magic 🤍❤️🩵🖤💜✨️🔥👊🤘🥰😍🥹
Great
I just want to know where I can find more music like this specific song.
For the same theme: Radiohead’s “2+2=5”. For some amazing guitar work, try Radiohead’s “These are my Twisted Words”, or Sonic Youth, eg “Trilogy”, “Schizophrenia” or “Theresa’s Sound World”.
@@thomshrike I'm actually wanting to get into other artists. I've exhausted radiohead's discog, but these songs are roughly in the same ballpark. What genre are these songs even? Some version of krautrock or something?
Try the Sonic Youth songs I mentioned on my previous comment.
@@thomshrike These are really good recs. Might start combing through sonic youth.
Those 4 albums from the 1987-1992 period (Sister, Daydream Nation, Goo, Dirty) are the best way to start.
Thom what kinda Geetar u gots there?
Thx Ed for pulling sounds out of those there Geetar's..
Thx alot you always were an inspiration to me when it came to your playing..
Thx

I don't want to practice on my guitar but these mf make me want to fucking play

Amazing tones also. Is this all using some plug-in? Please share... Bodysnatchers especially.

No, de nada

From 3:00 the guys' movements are really weird, they seem to be reversed and accelerated at the same time...
Its like everyone's Johnny Greenwood in this song😁
How can a band be around for this long and make an album this great most bands have 1 or 2 good songs znd mail it in for a career
뭐라 설명해야하나; 그냥 지림
