You never know what you will get yourself into when you are listening to Cradle of Filth. They changed their style so many times. Don’t even know what to suggest haha 😂 but mostly they are considered goth/symphonic metal 🤘

Even Doug Bradley couldn't stay away from this band and was featured in several songs/videos, re-appearing for over 2 decades now... but who is Doug Bradley anyway you ask? Oh, I keep forgetting that not everybody is as old as grumpy me... xD You may or may not know him as Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies :D

Imo best album still is Cruelty And The Beast, though, a pity there are no videos for this albums.

Okay Temptation by Cradle of Filth. The female screams and vocals are gold
A lot of people complain about CoF because of their "gimmick", but if you're willing to look past their outfits and makeup, Dani is an amazing lyricist with some Shakespearian writing. You definitely need to sit down and read along with some of their lyrics as you listen because it adds so much quality to their songs.
Cradle of Filth is only male lead vocals the woman singing is name Liv Kristine formally of Leaves Eyes a Viking symphonic metal band.

first i want to say, you dont have to say sorry, because it is not your type of music, people like different type of music, and taste of music cant never be wrong. i am big metal head myself. this song is my favorite song of all time not just the best cradle of filth song, but i think it is the best song i ever heard.

Cradle of Filth is really their own genre. Try Cruelty Brought thee Orchids and Thirteen Autumns and a Widow
This is the only song I know by these guys and I quite like it. I really dig the eery but epic feel to it. The only other thing I've heard Dani Filth in is 'Puppets 3 (The Grand Finale)' by MIW.

I believe they’re considered black-metal, obvious reasons. Not my style of music but this song isn’t bad. Listened to it a few times in the past. All of their shit sounded different from one song to another lol. I used to listen to a song by them that I thought was called Babylon A.D. but I can’t find it on Spotify. It may be on RUclips, but when I was younger the video gave me the creeps haha
I’ve heard that Dani Filth (lead singer) is really down to earth and cool as hell to meet in person 🤷🏻♂️

I listen to everything from slam metal to indie. However Dani Filth has a reputation of incredible word play and lyrics as he went to school for writing.
Also, be a bit more open to metal experimentation. There are tons of sub genres, and this is a much older classic style. Gothic and matching its lyrics with visual tension. You've got a way to go!

Most Cradle is way heavier than this, and this is only actually half of the real song. Check out "Beneath the Howling Stars" For something older and heavier.

Are they even Metal ?! Listen to early records like " Vempire " " Dusk and her embrace " , " Cruelty and the beast " and " Midian " and find out. Some people can't stand his style of singing but he's undoubtedly the best lyricist in the whole Metal genre in my opinion
