In this video, I show you how to swap out your standard rear Eibach (or other lift) springs for some heavy-duty versions to accommodate extra weight.

Seriously this is great & also had new steering & front suspension which I believe illuminated the rear suspension issues plus have enduro bmw for the back & so glad I found your channel
TY! Needing to do the rear & going from the air to the coil
Also appreciate the small tricks you share from lengthening the bar etc - the rear was more obvious after fixing the front suspension :/
Another excellent video....and definitely interested in your tire carrier info/review. I was thinking about doing your current set-up , mostly to keep the aftermarket spare wheel out of the salt
Thanks! Yeah I’m a bit behind on videos. Need to do one on the carrier. I’ve had plenty of real world experience with it now. The parts I still need to install are piling up too haha
Same here looking forward to seeing the tire carrier buyers guide
check out the eim keith panhard relocation bracket. you can get your panhard bar more parallel to the axle
Need to look into this! Thanks
Great looking GX and awesome videos! Question - which tire carrier setup did you go with? Curious if its the Rigd and if so, how you mounted your hi-lift. Any advice appreciated!
Thanks for watching! I have the tire carrier from Rigid Armor. Small LA based company that sells these tire carriers for a few hundred less than the Rigd one. They have a hi-lift mount right on the carrier so you just need to get some hardware and bolt it up!
@@lexus_offroad_adventures - Oh sweet - I'd not heard of them before. Thanks!!
Link to those cup holders? Nice rig!
Thank you, sir. Here you go! bluedogdesignwerks.com/collections/frontpage
Hey mate, great video! I’m about to change my springs. What’s the weight rating of your axle stand?
Thanks for watching! The jack stands are 6 Ton rated
@@lexus_offroad_adventures sweet thanks! Also, which floor jack did you use to lift the car from the diff and what’s its weight rating? I need to get a floor jack for the job but contemplating whether a 2T floor jack will be enough
@@mateoOC the floor jack is 3 ton rated. I wouldn’t go with 2 ton. The GX can exceed that 2t capacity more than I would be comfortable with. Plus, 3 Ton jacks usually have a bit more lift, which helps when working on vehicles with more ground clearance like the GX
Do you have the 3D model for the cup holder or did you buy that somewhere?
This cup holder was from Blue Dog Designwerks but I went with another one that allows for bigger bottles: www.ebay.com/itm/255283585743?hash=item3b701662cf:g:nrwAAOSwwmBhVViF
If you like the blue dog one, you can find it here:

Please do tire carrier buyers guide!
I did that in this video: ruclips.net/video/ZxTn6MLGndo/видео.html
Check it out!
Looks like you increased positive camber in the rear. Did you get that fixed during alignment?
Camber is not adjustable on the rear in a solid rear axle vehicle.
Wow hahahaha
You have to the product?
The sway bar memoir 😂😂
RIP 🙏😭
Do I have to do a rear coil conversion for this to work on my 2006?
Yes, but I don’t recommend this particular kit unless you already have the full Eibach or other front suspension lift as well. The car will be super high in the back. Are you trying to tow a lot of weight?
@@lexus_offroad_adventures so I actually just ordered the regular kit from your first video. I do plan on having a tire carrier also and I will occasionally be towing a 5x8 trailer for my quad
@@allstat1290 I see what you mean. Yes I think having the puck and that upper spring isolator in the spring conversion kit will be crucial. Maybe just see if Eibach can send you an HD rear springs with the pro truck kit so you don’t have to replace it. They have good customer support via phone
What springss did you have before?
Just the standard Eibach Pro-Truck rear springs. These are just the HD versions. Here is their pro-truck suspension lineup: eibach.com/us/c-754-product-releases-2003-2009-lexus-gx470.html
Where did you get the cup holder from?
An eBay seller. I don’t think he makes them any more though :(
What moto carrier are you using?
Moto Jack Rack

Can I change Automatic transmission to manually?
If your answer is yes.
Can you tell me what kind of manual transmission
Thank you.
I'm one of your biggest fans.
All respect and appreciation

How does body roll have changed? Overall driving experience?
Without the sway bar there is definitely more body roll. It was way worse with the standard springs though. The HD ones give a bit more support
Hi there, do you sell me the old rear coil springs?
Sure! Hope you’re near Huntington Beach for pickup. DM me on instagram @lexus_offroad_adventures
this spring is bigger or just harder? so much lift!
It’s a higher spring rate to carry more load. As such, you may get a bit of extra lift with it if your rear weight is unchanged from the standard springs
You selling your old springs?
Yep! Instagram dm me @lexus_offroad_adventures
Rule #1 of jackstands
Don’t extend them all the way
That one you’ve got on the driver side looks like it’s about to let go and drop that side of the truck
They are not extended all the way, could be the wide angle camera distorting the image
