How crazy!!! I just finished the Mojave Road yesterday. I went East to West. Afton Cyn was probably my favorite part because the trails were all over the place and many many water crossings! All in all 2.5 days with four to five stops along the way. Must have 4WD, Thick tires, and Skids. Would recommend a bit of lift and sliders. A higher clearance front bumper helps a lot too but if you pick your lines you can make it without it. I took some side roads tho that are not part of the main trail to check old cinder cones and some different old mining operations. Good show I am glad you all are showing this trip now!
I'm doing this trip, west to east, starting a week from today. Taking my pickup and new Four Wheel Camper on it's maiden voyage. My first time was with my dad in his '63 Scout. You're right about memories driving the trails! Love to see the kids enjoying life outdoors!
Another awesome video! Love how you tell about the history of the areas you go to. Go Caroline!! My granddaughter wants to be able to travel like she does, some day! You are a blessing to so many of us & are truly talented!!!😊
You can't catch me. I've done the Mojave Road about 20 times in 30 years. Even had Dennis Casebier in my Jeep on two trips. Plan on doing it twice this year. I know all the nooks and cranny's. LOL
Wearing my Lifestyle Overland tshirt while watching your latest episode. Can't wait to take my family on our own road trip. Thanks for helping us to stay sane in these crazy times!
Hey Kevin! Awesome to see a daddy/daughter trip! You don’t know me well, but I’m the southeast director for overland bound and since you were a director (short though it was) I’ve had 2 daughters and just went on my first camping trip with my first daughter and it was awesome! I’ve been watching your channel since the beginning and I cannot wait to walk a similar path with my family of 4!
LOL cold its been in the single digits to low teens here for the past two weeks with one snow fall of 13" in one day. Where your at, is what we call shorts weather in Michigan
So lucky to have snow in the desert! I know it probably doesn't feel that way, but it's pretty unusual out here to get any precip in the desert, let alone snow. Thanks for the awesome videos!
That looks like a place I need to go... shaping up to be a fun trip too! Will try not to get the 'hump' if you have snow in the next episode (sorry my bestest camel joke!)
Enjoyed the video! Would like to hear how the Gazelle did in the wind. Was it loud/flappy? Looking at this tent for myself. Would love a RTT but, bathroom...
Question for you Kevin, is that an antenna on the left rear of your roof rack? Maybe a rain gauge? If it is an antenna, what band/frequency? What comm's are you running? Thank Brother, have a Blessed and Safe Travel!
I am shopping for a used gen 2 sequoia.. just basic stuff as I am learning and not skilled at terrain that is tricky. My daughter is 27 and would be playing in the rocks looking for creatures... Let me ask a sensitive question. Where do you use the #2 facilities ?? I am old and beat up with a bad knee. They make the #2 seats that go into the trailer hitch. But if your camped for a bit that seems like a not good idea. I would need some sort of sitting equipment . Is there anything you could explain to me that is not too much to read ??

My 5 year old daughter, Nora, loves your videos and watching Caroline. We've both been waiting for this new series!
I wish I could sit with my granddaughters (7 and 10) to watch, I'll bet they would love it!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy!

Great video! Love the Joshua trees. Don’t know if many saw it but I noticed the camel you added at 16:00 minutes. 😎

Look's like a good out for daddy daughter. I love your little tidbits of history Kev, makes one wanna go out and see stuff like this. Thank you!
What a wonderful dads and daughters time. Nice place to grab the wheel and get the feel of the road. Stay warm.❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!
Awesome moments with Caroline!! Great video 🤙🏼
Thanks for bringing Caroline along. Good travel mate.
I love the history of the locations you go to. I am a bit of a history buff.
As always, great video.
Looks like a great trip! When I was younger I spent a TON of time out in the Anza-Borrego Desert. I'll have to add the Mohave to the list.
Thank you for the wonderful video I really appreciate your hard work😎👍
The snow wow lol. Fun video thanks

Reminder Set :D Can't wait!
Great episode! Bringing back Mojave memories from last December. Keep up the good work!
Looks like another fun adventure! Can't wait to see where this one takes you all!
Can't wait to get back out in my 4Runner either.
Cot camping is great. We camp in a 10 x 10 Springbar with cots, it's almost glamping.
I remember letting my kids drive the deserts and dry lakes. Good time.
Excellent episode

Love the gazelle. I bought a t4 overland last year. Great tent!
wow thats some weather change! good thing your used to the desert!
Awesome to give her a chance to steer a bit. I learned very young driving a tractor.
@ 3:42 Love it 👍

Another awesome video. You should go check out Camp Beale Springs AKA Fort Beale in Kingman Arizona

We can't wait for you to make it state-side... So much to show you!
So when are you going to discuss those shiny new blue parts on the 4runner. Love the videos keep the content going.
I was about to say something about that! I know he was having issues with the Icons. Musta went kings!
Good morning guys
How ‘bout a link or information on the tent cots. They looked light and comfortable.
My dream channel 😎📣
-29C under a metre of snow here in Alberta. 🤤🌲🔥🇨🇦
Love the Gazelle T4 tent. I've got one I use time to time. Just love how fast setup and tear down is.. What cots did you use?
I absolutely love my T4. If I am not sleeping in the rig I am in the T4.
Looks like a Helinox Cot Max with the leg extensions. I have the same cot and I love it. It is not cheap though.
very very nice job guys.God bles u.♥️♥️♥️♥️
Enjoyed the video! Would like to hear how the Gazelle did in the wind. Was it loud/flappy? Looking at this tent for myself. Would love a RTT but, bathroom...
I know you went with the two vehicles, but I thought the turtleback would have still been kicking around. So you didn't have to sleep on the ground.
That’s my set up as well. Gazelle Overland and cots.
What cots you use Lee ?
I would like to know the same tks
I live in wisconsin and have seen plenty of snow this season.. 14 inches at a time.
What radios do you use? Is there a hand held version that could be used from outside of the rig to communicate back to the rig?
Question for you Kevin, is that an antenna on the left rear of your roof rack? Maybe a rain gauge? If it is an antenna, what band/frequency? What comm's are you running? Thank Brother, have a Blessed and Safe Travel!
Is there any chance you will be at the Southeast Overland and Off-road Expo in Florida next month?
The way guys eat among themselves vs how they eat when with the wives...😝
There were definitely some "easy meals" in this adventure, though I try to take it to the next level in an upcoming episode 😉
So how did that new heater work? Very interested in one of these!
Please make comparison between hard shell rtt and soft shell rtt...
Soft top is like smittybilt and hard shell is the ones you see that look like a luggage carrier... brain fat on names...
What brand are the cots you all were using? Thanks
Nice video, could my 2 inch lifted Forester handle it?
Do y’all have a playlist of all the songs you use for ur videos?
Hope to make it out to the Mojave someday!
I saw the elusive Mojave camel.......haha
That cot did look cozy.? Worth it?
All my camping trips have been father daughter ones as my wife doesn't camp lol.
I'm guessing from the absence of front end rattling you must have done a little
rebuild in between
How do you attach your patches so they won't fall? I'm an avid fan here..
Hey Kevin...when you gonna do a video around your ham radio and antenna setup ?
I am shopping for a used gen 2 sequoia.. just basic stuff as I am learning and not skilled at terrain that is tricky. My daughter is 27 and would be playing in the rocks looking for creatures...

another amazing trip ! wheres the trailer ?
Kevin, did you encounter any snakes, or is it too cold this time of year in the desert? Great vid, as always!
I live in El Paso Tx the heart of the southwest. I wonder what trail it is?
Las Cruces checking in.
@@GooglyEyes73 right on
EPT too👊🏼👍🏼
Mojave or Mohave Road.. Colorado River across to Calif. I -15
@@michael184272 yes sir I want to go before they remove the frog and gnome shrine!!!
Can you confirm what phone mount you all have on the dash?
What cots were those, they looked pretty compact?
Looks like a helinox cot one convertible. Get ready for some serious sticker shock, they are expensive.
How does the dewalt compare to mr buddy heater?
how much ventilation do you have with that propane heater.. i’ve always been so paranoid and leave a window open more than I should..
With the Gazelle tent, you have quite a bit of ventilation. The roof is a screen with the rain fly over it.
Great video. Caroline got a haircut? and good to see her behind the wheel
Whooop
7 commercials in 21 minutes. Hurray youtube. May have to splice the cord back up and go back to cable so I will have less commercials.

Just waiting on their call... 😉
@@LifestyleOverland do you know bruder expedition trailer
Why didn't you bring the turtle back?
Love the video and my family but if the kids had to participate more
You scared the stuffing out of him.
