I work with the group that makes that projector. I doubt they'll have it in phones again. Maybe as an attachment or a big case, not really implemented in the phone.

Man I miss the early 2010s of consumer tech development. It really feels like every maker was trying out ways to really make their tech genuinely cool and feel and look cool.
There is 2020 version of this with much thinner bezel but the problem is China has 3 qualities for 1 type of product : Best, Decent and Low. Unless you buy it yourself there, the least thing to get the best one is by reading the review of previous buyer. Same way when you buy Super Copy of Airpod.
I had a Moto Z4 which can have Moto Mods my favorite being the projector. It's not "modern" since the Moto Z4 is 4-5 years old but it's "more modern" than this Samsung phone.

"Un paquet" is correct but "Un colis" would be a better translation for a post package. The Galaxy Beam was awesome but another phone exclusive to Japan was even more ahead of its time (despite the fact that it didn't use Android, it had a proprietary system) : NTT Docomo F-04B made by Fujitsu in 2009 was a phone with a touch screen and a slide-up keyboard...at least it was what it looked like at first glance...but the keyboard actually detaches to reveal a full wireless keyboard, and you can replace the keyboard part by other peripherals adding new features...like...a projector, for example.
Actually, manufacturers can put this somewhere in the camera glass and make it a bit smaller with the newer technology. It will cost ALOT tho and not everyone needs it, thats why they are not doing it.
I remember this and wanting one so bad. But they were expensive back then but now I’m older with a job and can buy any phone I want…. But haven’t seen this feature in any other phone yet. Truly unique phone.👍
This is super cool, I even miss the 'Airview' with just our finger on the Samsung Note 3, where you can use your finger to hover above the screen and it shows more information wherever you keep your finger (without touching), just like hovering a mouse. Some older phones really had cooler features then the new ones released nowadays

After I saw this, within 10 mins I found the phone on eBay for also 120 but it was still brand new never used with a bunch of accessories, your right it was way a head at the time, it’s so cool
My mother had one of those. After some years it was just laying around inside boxes of old stuff. It's funny to see PGR pay kinda expensive for some junk I had laying around. The projector feature is amazing tho, only issue was that the projector was kinda flipped, you had to use the cellphone in landscape orientation while still holding it in portrait
The Motorola Z series has a projector module that magnetizes to the back of the phone. I have one, and while it's fun to use, the projector's internal battery only lasts an hour and the cooling fan is kinda annoying. I'm glad I have one but I understand why the idea didn't take off.
