I've heard that apple devices kinda have a voltage limiter at the ports to protect the main device, you could say the ports die to protect the motherboard because if the voltage limiter is triggered then it stops power to the motherboard but that means all the power is destroying the port
the failsafe samsung implemented in the 8 is truly amazing. I'm sure if you were to hold that usb killer in it long enough it would actually explode because the phone is discharging all that energy back into the contacts of the usb killer's board.

Like having a cover on your finger will make it 100% unresponsive so using a glove will make the iPhones home button not working. Because it’s actually not a button . RevvedUpResh the usb killer relies on the power of the device, it takes the small ammount of power released and takes it and makes it 10x stronger and throws it back at the device. with this in mind, if you put 2 usb killers up against eachother then there would be no reaction because there's no energy.
I think wireless charging will just do fine. it got nothing to do with the port. I'd be curious when Samsung started protecting it's charging port. Was it before or after the S7 fiasco?
Are you able to get some of those S7 series phones? Plus if they learned their lesson from the S7 did they start using the new features on lower end models like the A or J series?
I'm interested in your videos on this for sure. If you end up figuring out where or when they implemented that did it also carry over to the Tablet series?
On a side note, I'm interested in seeing if you can get a utility that can protect any of your ports. Like putting in a device Infront of the USB device your trying to insert. RevvedUpResh the usb killer relies on the power of the device, it takes the small ammount of power released and takes it and makes it 10x stronger and throws it back at the device. with this in mind, if you put 2 usb killers up against eachother then there would be no reaction because there's no energy.

I think wireless charging will just do fine. it got nothing to do with the port. But as someone who use the ports quite a lot for transfering data i would really hat eit if my port gets fried.
