Basically, if it'll detect a USB flash drive plugged into the charge port, it'll probably be killed by a USB killer.

That thing would fry anything you zapped with it, and you wouldn't even need to zap a port to do it. And this isn't even close to my longest YT comment, either. What can I say, I'm verbose. ;-)

The reason why the older phones don't work with it is because they don't have the USB host functionality. Newer phones are able to work with external devices so they send power out to the device that is plugged into it. Devices that don't have this feature are not able to send power out to the external devices.

the official usb killer device amplyfies 5V to 200V. Most countries run either 120V or 220-230V AC. I think the killer will either melt down causing a short that makes you breakers engage, or the capacitors will blow up....... Someone should really try it.
