Ultimate Mexican street food tour of Tijuana, Mexico (Part 2). This was actually the same day as Part 1, but there were so many tacos, I had to split the video in two. We continued this epic Mexican street food tour with seafood tacos, the original Caesar’s salad, carne asada, and the fastest taco maker in the world! #Tijuana #MexicanFood #streetfood

Mariscos el Mazateño - Shrimp Enchilado - This place was absolutely amazing - and I knew it was going to be good when we walked in in the middle of the afternoon and it was packed. We had a couple different tacos, including the marlin with octopus, but the winner was the shrimp enchilado, a huge taco stuffed with spiced shrimp and cheese.
Caesar's Hotel - Original Caesar’s salad - Although this doesn’t fit in the Mexican street food theme, there was no way we could visit Tijuana without trying the original Caesar’s salad - where Caesar Cardini invented it. It was awesome, to see the entire process made before you and it was everything it needed to be, no more and no less. Must eat when you’re in Tijuana, Mexico.
Tacos El Vaquero - Carne Asada - This small stall late at night in Tijuana is a winner - their Sonoran style carne asada is out of this world. They grill up steaks of your choice, slice them up, into tortillas, and you have a choice of salsa. Absolutely stunning.
Tacos Fitos - Tijuana, Mexico - Finally, this is the tacos tall in Tijuana that we missed in the morning the day before because they had already sold out. But we came back the next morning. Not only are their Tijuana red oil birria tacos the best I’ve ever had, but their taco master is by far the fastest taco maker I’ve ever seen. Unbelievable, you will have dreams about Tacos Fitos.

One of the best meals I ever had in my life was in Senora Mexico. My friend Ralph and I were driving down to Mazatlan and we we hungry. There was a small sign off the highway pointing up a small road, and numerous Rancher SUVs were turning up the road so we followed. At the end of the road was a restaurant (not a stand) and it was packed for lunch. I ordered the Tampeqenio, which is a skirt steak with an enchilada on the side, plus rice and beans and flour tortillas. Man was it delicious. I dream of that meal over and over again. But I don't think I could find the restaurant again - so it was a one-time deal... a glorious one-time deal. Leading to a delicious memory.
It’s Sonora, and let me tell you my friend that we have the best meat in the world, and I can tell you because I have been in Argentina and I had tried that beautiful Argentinian steak but even with that in mid I can tell you that the Sonora’s steaks are the top one in the world, but that’s a matter of farm because we have so much space for won and the quality of the grass in the desert makes the meat so tasty. Congratulations man you can tell to your friends that you have tried the best meat in the world.

As a Mexican who lives in Mexico City but traveled around the world, I will always return back for this amazing food, I’m so impressed for my own culture, haha I can’t get enough
After watching this I made a Greek style taco, diced up souvlaki and sheftali, tahini, tabasco, diced red onion, some greens and lemon juice, put it in a pitta bread and I swear I was in Mexico...
We don't use Tabasco in Mexico btw, it's an American sauce (that's why it tastes too much like vinegar, it's made for US Southern style food).
@ whatever I could find in the fridge went into a pitta bread(Greek origins) that's how badly I was craving an authentic Mexican taco, which I have never had the opportunity to experience yet...... that's all I meant

I was raised in both San Diego & Tijuana, frontera child, quite common. Definitely a privilege to experience both cities & their cuisine. Love my carne asada fries, but Tijuana has my heart, beautiful city w/exquisite food. 💕
As a San diego Native I grew up With Mexican culture. All of my mates are Chicanos. San Diego Méxican Food is Amazing! But. There is no comparison to Mexican Food directly from the Mecca. Stay great every one!

I'm considering flying to Mexico but I read that non essential flight shouldn't happen. I mean how are things there really? Are businesses up and running. I see stuff like this and don't know what to believe lol.
@@imafake2807 I don't know where you live and I don't know what part of Mexico you're considering visiting, but I go to Tijuana 2-3 times per week and as of yesterday, most restaurants are either closed or only open for take out. You'll have better luck with the taco stands because many of them are still open. Most people are wearing face masks and non essential businesses are closed. You can find good food there, but you won't have the same experience as Mark (standing in groups in front of the stands or seated dinner in a restaurant).
The original Cesar's restaurant where they served the salad like that burned down. Moved to a new location.

I lived in San Diego back in the 80's and went to Tijuana at least every other weekend. It was truly a melting pot of the best of Mexico, especially if you got away from the tourist trap areas. My favorite place was Carnitas Uruapan, just down the street from the greyhound racetrack. Bought by the kilo, it came with a stack of tortillas as long as your arm, and a huge tray of onions, tomatoes, cilantro and radishes, to make your own tacos. All this time later, my mouth is flooding at the memory!

Tijuana is such a fantastic place to eat. There are so many great restaurants, mariscos, and taco stands I never get tired of it and its so inexpensive too ! I live in LA, but make it to Baja at least 2 to 4 times a year to to eat.Thanks for showing me a few more spots to checkout the next time I'm down in TJ. I hope the boarder opens up again soon. I can't wait !

My mom grew up in Tijuana before moving to Los Angeles in the 70s. I take her to visit family and we stopped at El Mazateno for lunch. She was very impressed and I thought the food was great. Try the Marlin tacos, they are amazing. You dont get many places in the states that serve Marlin meat tacos but in TJ/Mexico they are fantastic.
And my mom loved the consume! I gave her mine, she finsihed 2 of them. This place is 100% legit TJ

Besides taco El Pastor, shrimp taco and shrimp quesadilla are my favorite. You know Caesars is a great place to eat because it is crowded with all kinds of people including Mexicans so you know it is really good. "Tacos El Vaquero" The carne asada tacos OMG, worth the trip. I have eaten a green grilled habanero, it is best to eat it with something. Mexico has the best food ever.

@@shreqboi1 no dude, in my country/city only delivery is allowed as of now, no dine in and it's been almost 3 months like this. For first 2 even delivery was difficult.

I'm from Tijuana and right now for the COVID sanitary emergency you can't even eat on the street stands and is sad I hope those good old days come back soon Im really tired to stay at home and only eat by delivery.
I also miss in Mexico going to a bar and get drunk with my friends, with a bunch of people around us,then going for some tacos for dinner.
After watching this video it's time to fire up the grill and chow some carne asada with guacamole, onions, jalapeños, salsa, and wash it down with an ice cold Pacifico...and imagine I'm in Mexico doing the chowing.
