@@BenKurton My point is that it’s extra power is being pushed too far on the resolution side so the frame rate suffers. If the resolution increase over PS4 Pro was more conservative it would have the frame rate and resolution advantage. CPU Limits what AI and physics calculations the game can do.etc Memory is moreso streaming data and what can be on screen at one time, and what data can be stored. I don't get why devs choose to maintain the One X at 4K even with tearing and frame drops, just lower the res to 1800p and all of the problems basically go away. RE2 Remake did the same thing, and it ran bad, then they dropped the res to 1800p, now the One X version is the best console version.
We have completed the game in 3 days on X1X. We have encountered about 3 crashes per day - not as critical or as annoying as sound glitches or server disconnects in for example Division 2. Dropped frames were actually almost unnoticeable - I have noticed it like 5-10 times per day. I would say it is on par with Battlefront 2 except the framerate. I miss 60fps a lot.
I'd rather they target a lower resolution with a locked 30 than 4k. We're about to switch to a new generation I don't understand why devs are still targeting 4k when they could drop down to 1440p
More power = more resolution it seem its fucking stupid We meet 60 fps in all game fuck 4 k Got a 4k tv like 5 year ago and used the 4k like 5 time The only time I am in 4k is on my pc when I am not playing game

This. The One X Version has tearing like hell. Very disappointing.
Series x and ps5 won't start dropping frames from target framerate until 2025-26. Also cpu bottlenecked frame drops won't exist anymore as low level API like dx12 will become normal. And also dropping from 60fps is less noticeable than 30fps.

They want to keep the 4k 30 fps target for all demanding games secret.
Its that easy. PS5 is quite a lot weaker than series X but with a better games portfolio, great controller, no loading times and great sound people will be satisfied anyhow but those cannot be conveyed in previews well - the lower graphic power can

They were both CPU and RAM limited.
CPU Limits what AI and physics calculations the game can do.etc
Memory is moreso streaming data and what can be on screen at one time, and what data can be stored.
The 360 and PS3 were both CPU and Memory limited (The 360 more of both, the PS3 more of the latter).
The PS4 and One are 100% CPU Limited
the ps3 cpu had an incredible hard time keeping up with the AI from the game. Same with GTA V. Those games were pushing the CPU 101% all the time.
@@Alovon If anything they were way overpowered on the CPU side (at least PS3). Actually early Ubisoft demos show that the Cell was a bit faster than the Jaguar in the PS4 which is crazy considering a generational jump. They were GPU and RAM limited but definitely not CPU.

I don't get why devs choose to maintain the One X at 4K even with tearing and frame drops, just lower the res to 1800p and all of the problems basically go away.
RE2 Remake did the same thing, and it ran bad, then they dropped the res to 1800p, now the One X version is the best console version.
I'll wait for the PS5 version, thanks. And it better be 60 fps on PS5.

It's 30fps with Ray Tracing and 60fps in performance mode.
On the next gen systems there's only one mode and that's 1440p (upscaled to 4k) 30fps with ray tracing
