This was yet another very beneficial video session. Substitutions, such a seemingly simple thing, yet one I’ve hardly trained on nor considered the specifics of in such detail. Question: how exactly do players report to the table? Do they just announce to the scorekeeper their color and jersey number? “Blue 31.” Or is there something else to it?
Substitutes simply inform the table they are coming into the game. The table should record their number in the book but the player does not need to "announce" anything, nor do they have to tell them who they are coming in for.
