And im here in panic mode because I got my hair done yesterday to have good hair color for a wedding i will be attending in less than 2 weeks and the salon i went to completely overtoned my hair because she also thought my hair doesnt lift quick. C D I’m really glad this helped you yes the girl tried to get me to come back into her salon as well and I told her no and just searched up remedies myself!
      What also helps with the color is going outside in the sun Right after you rinse out your conditioner with lemon mix ! ( go to the park or have a fun day outside like an outdoor mall etc.)
      that way the lemon is kind of still in your hair allowing it lift more with the suns help!

    So glad you were able to get rid of the toner. I decided to dye my hair for the summer, and of corse got the wrong color hair dye and toner, but using baking soda with shampoo, lemon juice with conditioner, and rinsing under hot water helped take out all of the toner, and maybe even some of the color. I heard anti-dandruff shampoo works too, but the one I used didn't really make a difference.

    So, saturate your hair in ketchup and wrap it in foil. Wait (?) I think she said 2.5 hours or so, get a clarifying shampoo, mix it with baking soda, scrub it, rinse in hot water, put on a light conditioner mixed with the juice of 2-3 lemons, leave that on overnight or 7-8 hours, since that out, and you're good.

    • @ReynellLiliana
      @ReynellLiliana  3 года назад +1

      Yes girl ❤️
      In the morning when you rinse out the lemon conditioner in your shower. I actually recommend that you use regular shampoo and regular conditioner after and let your hair dry so you can see where your hair is at! If you still DONT like it then repeat at night❤️

      @@arlyxo Same here. My hair was dark blonde to light brown, like an angel, but it was just a bit brassy. I asked for a toner, like a purple shampoo. The hair dresser dyed my hair dark brown, with a "light brown" toner! Like what the heck! And 100 euros for a coloring shampoo?! I went home and a load of pigment made the water look black. My hair looked raven black and stiff, it made me look so rough! But I read online that toner fades, I mean I sat at the sink only and he let it work into my hair for 15 minutes only. So hoping for the best and I am going to use Fanola shampoo cause it looks indeed "charcoaly" but with that nasty icey truffelly shade to it?! Apparantly you can wash your hair 5 times a day so that's what I am going to do. I am not gonna try baking soda, that makes my hair so dry. Just 5 times regular shampoo, and the 5th time will be Fanola blue shampoo. And I am never ever going to a hair dresser again. Ever!

    Update: I did try the sally's generic brand clarifying shampoo (recommended by another RUclipsr Brittnee❤️) it took a little bit out but I decided to just bleach bath it. It took all the toner off lol but my hair was dry after but hey I got it off. WARNING** if you try the beach bath method it can make you warm again so just watch the amount of time you have on. Also, have purple or blue shampoos to help control warmth and some great hair masks and lamellar water hair treatments( redken lamellar water is bombbbb). I also used k18 mask before the hydrating mask. Good luck everyone!!

    OMG what the hell is wrong with hairdressers? I've had 5 hairdressers ruin my hair every year for the past 5 years. Two weeks ago I had SAME EXACT SHITTY TONER RESULT AS YOU. I have very fine slightly wavy shoulder length natural level 7 ashy red hair, very healthy and lots of it. It knots up if you blow on it. Has done that all my life. Have to be super gentle with it. Got a partial head bleach highlight. My hair LOVES bleach. It looks great with just a few white platinum streaks and no toner cuz my base color looks great with white streaks. I never have needed toner. So... I told hairdresser all that, and it's the second time I've seen her. Asked for level 9 to 9.5 white platinum color with lots of space between highlights otherwise level 8 will read as gold against my natural base reddish hair. Instead I got a head of level 8 gold, with so many fine highlights with no space between it reads as monochrome gold. I did have some pretty level 9 around my hairline. No toner. Went home to do a toner test of my own, and used an old school wash out purple toner by Roux Fanciful Rinse in White Minx #52. It was GORGEOUS. So I lived with that for a couple days and then decided YES I should go back and get my hair toned professionally by this woman. So I go back. She tones it. Uses a rat tail comb to work toner through. And...my hair came out almost a solid mixture of brown and green with some orange. And... my hair was snapped all over my head, with breakage throughout because of rat tail comb. She said, "Next time I'll use violet and pearl pigments--this time I used black and blue to get the icy look" (???) This is 5th stylist who messed up my hair. It takes a year to recover from each nightmare since my hair is very fine. And the hell of it is that I really like this girl!! She's delightful!! Anyway, rather than taking a quick route because my hair is so damaged now, I'm going slowly to remove the professional toner. For the past 2 1/2 weeks I've been washing my hair every 2-3 days with Garnier Pure Clean Purifying Shampoo (1-2 latherings depending on the rattiness of my hair) followed by heavy duty helpings of cheap conditioner. It took 7 shampooings to get most of it out. I still have about 2-4 more washings to go. Then I'm going to use Fanola and/or Amika mask. No more professional toner, ever.

    I think she was a bit harsh about not letting the stylist fix it. She's assuming she knows better than a professional just because something unexpected happened. As a stylist, sometimes unexpected things happen due to a wide variety of variables. For example if your hair is porous or has been colored with boxed color or henna or you have extremely hard water ( lots of minerals in it) or colored over previously hilighted hair, those things are often unpredictable but can seriously mess with the chemistry of the hair and the outcome. Stylists very seldom know exactly where your hair has been and what it's been exposed to. Another thing to consider is that when a stylist fixes a problem we always do it keeping the structural integrity of the hair in mind. Lemon juice, baking soda and other home experiments are sure to leave the condition and texture of your hair less than great. While this method did remove some color, it still wasn't optimal as you can see the entire lower half of the hair is still very gray. Some things to consider.

    • @ReynellLiliana
      @ReynellLiliana  3 года назад +8

      hey Karen, I get that things are un predictable. I had talked to her before hand, she saw my hair, felt it and I told her my history before we made an appointment. I was on time with my appointment. I told her I just needed it to be toned and my hair grabs easy but no shampoo was doing the trick to remove the brassy. She said it would be quick but left the treatment in my hair for almost two hours and change then the salon closed and she said she’d only wash it and I’d have to go. She didn’t even blow dry it or finish it. I was very heartbroken. She didn’t do a good job period. She was a wonder lady so I of course paid her but you should listen to your clients when I told her that my hair grabs easy. YOU are talking as if you know what you’re talking about so I’m assuming you have good customer service and communicate w your clients and that amazing however I did not experience the same once I sat in the chair and the ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THE SALON WAS A LADY GETTING A TRIM that took her 15 mins as the lady’s hair was already short. So she had more than enough time to check on me before or after the other client as we were the only two ppl there and could’ve washed out my hair maybe after an hour and my hair would have been fine. I do not claim to be professional, I was desperate to get it out my hair, it was ugly and discouraging. I went home crying. So before you go and start educating people and commenting your two cents about being a stylist remember that NOT EVERYONE HAS a great customer service w stylist. You may know YOUR stuff, talk to your clients, maybe even suggest/educate them and that’s great but I didn’t so I took measures in my own hands. My hair is very healthy tho so this worked for me. I don’t trust salons anymore. It was extremely heartbreaking for me. So Karen, respectfully. Be quiet 😂

I think it's because I always try my best to protect the clients hair and strive for the best I can do that I came to the defense of a fellow stylist. I was wrong, her actions were indefensible. So sorry you had such a bad service it's not cool and I'm ashamed that people like her are in the same profession as me but just treat it like it's an incovenience to take care of someone. I hope my comments didn't cause you any undue stress. I'm just used to clients coloring their hair with box black color for two decades then coming in to see me expecting a full head of blonde in one appointment. My apologies.

And it’s not like I wanted to be rude to her either so I just paid and left but I cried home. It was my worst experience yet. So I do my own hair. Now it’s back to my natural black brown hair.

      Do you have a recommendation what to do if the hair turns greyish !? Is there a colour you could add to get the blonde ( gold undertone ) back !?? Would you use a colour remover or clarify !? And would you re tone with a blonde to get the blonde back or no !?? Help lol
