    1. Clarifying shampoo 3 times in a row
    2. Chilade your hair using dawn dish soap and lemon juice, and hydrate with hydrating mask
    3. Colour remover
    4. Full bleach wash with 10 volume mixed with shampoo

    I puted fresh lemon juice (i used 5-6 lemons) on a bowl and conditioner (not as much as the lemon juice) mixed up and with my hand i place it all over my hair hoping it will do something. I was putting and putting after minutes IT DID change my hair colour!!! I putted all my hair in the bowl and the rest juice with my hand on the roots and i massage them all together. GUYS. IT WORKED. IT WAS LIKE A FREAKING MAGIC. the one moment my hair was gray with blonde roots and after a second it washed out!!!

    Thank you so much! My hair was definitely over-toned and a tinge blue after using my toning conditioner. I rocked it for a day but I wanted to fix it when I got home, but it was late so I was worried I wouldn't have the chance. That dawn and lemon juice trick saved my hair -- it's back to blonde! I'm so relieved.

    This worked! I went the bleach bath route with 10 VOL, shampoo, and IGORA lightener. Probably worked it in the hair for 2 minutes, let it sit for 3 more, rinsed and followed with Olaplex. I definitely felt my hair being stripped but it was such a deep purple it was the only way. I still have trace amounts of purple at the back (as in nape of the neck covered by “normal” hair), but it looks so much better than the purple and brassy mess I had half an hour ago.

      Angela Bauman I first washed my hair with Dawn dish soap, and then squeezed half a lemon on the top of my hair, then the other towards the ends. Then I used a deep conditioning mask to rehydrate my hair. It will be very dry if you don't. You may have to do this more than once to get the ashy color out, but it will work. Just wait at least until the following day to do the process again. You have to use Dawn brand bc it's gentle enough, but will help strip the toner. Good luck!

    I went platinum blonde four months ago and now have about two inches of new hair growth at my roots. I decided that I didn't mind the grown-in roots look and simply wanted to re-tone the rest of my hair which had taken on a slightly golden/yellow color. I used the Wella T-18 toner on all of my dyed hair but did get a bit of toner on my natural brown hair near the end of the process when I was making sure I got the most yellow parts of my hair which was right under my roots. After washing it all out, I ended up with purple hair and auburn roots! I quickly searched online for ways to remove toner and found this video which helped me remove the purple color from my hair using lemon and conditioner. Now my hair has the nice platinum blonde I was looking for, but my roots are still a bright auburn color (I think they even became more of a golden auburn with the lemon juice!). Is there any way I would be able to get back to my natural root color and remove the rest of the toner? I am willing to try anything!

    I went to a new hair stylist yesterday. She said she just started working at the salon and was suuuuper sweet. I got balayage, and I have had my hair balayage the same for 5 years all with different stylists because I move around a lot. I have never had an issue before with what I ask for. However, I noticed that she left a toner in my head for wayyy longer than the other stylists have in the past and I was concerned but went with it because she is the specialist. When she revealed my hair, it was pretty orangey but I still was okay with it and smiled and told her thank you because I'm not confrontational and she was nice. But I just washed my hair today and realized that my hair is extremely stretchy and breaking, even the natural hair that she didn't dye. Would the toner they use at the salon be the same as the toner you're talking about that people use at home? Or is it stronger? I'm so confused on what went wrong, my hair was down to my waist and super healthy and now it's stretchy and feels stringy when wet, I can't stop crying about it lol will all these tips work still? I'm willing to do anything

      Me too! They always take off too much hair and I ask for bright hair and they make it Ashy/grey or dark. I don’t want to keep recolouring and I asked for no toner yet they always do it. I like a champagne, vanilla, honey, gold colour and they do it some washed out dull or
      Dark colour. I prefer brassy to ash. I like like myself/younger.

    I had a balayage done at the salon last week. It was too brassy but I was to afraid to say. I bought the Fanola no yellow shampoo and as the ends of my hair are more porous they took to the shampoo a little too well. The ends are a off silver/ grey and the rest is a honey blonde. This was a lifesaver! I used the dish soap method 👏👏 works really well took almost all the purple out with one wash, I'll probably do it twice because there is still a slight purple through the ends still

      Did it make your hair feel damaged? Want to try this but I’ve seen other videos say it’s damaging or makes hair feel super dry

    • @EllyBell_
      @EllyBell_ 11 месяцев назад

      @@Aphillywitdahoodie I do remember it made my hair feel very very dry afterwards, but that's easily fixed with a good conditioner & hair moisturisers.
      It's only a quick fix thing if you have stained your hair with the purple toner, it strips out the purple. Hope this helps!

      @@EllyBell_ I kinda have the same problem.…I’ve toned with icy white by ion color brilliance for years! And I’ve always put it on wet hair and turns out just how I want it but it had been so long since I did it cause I was going to the salon for the last two years that I forgot that I usually wet my hair so I read the instructions and it says to apply on dry hair so I did. And this time it turned it a little too grey and have a couple blue strands where it really grabbed on.
      Weirdly tho it’s a toner but when you open the package it says “permanent hair color” but they market it as a toner. So not sure what I need to use that’s strong enough to get it out. I mean it’s a “toner” but also says permanent hair color so I’m kinda confused what would work for it but regardless was hoping to get a little of the grey out… and was thinking about doing a bleach bath but was hoping the dish soap and lemon juice would be a tiny less damaging. Cause being a level 10 blonde my hairs not the healthiest in the world but it’s not too bad either.
      But Thank you for responding 🤣 I didn’t think you’d answer cause it’s been two years. Appreciate you tremendously!

      @EllyBell_ 11 месяцев назад

      @@Aphillywitdahoodie you're welcome! Also I know using bi-carb soda helps remove colours, if you can mix it with anti-dandruff shampoo that's even better.
      Just turn it into a paste and rub it through your hair, rinse and repeat a few times. I've used that to remove hair colour from blonde before, it's never perfect but it's enough.
      All of these tricks dry out your strands so be sure to replace the moisture afterwards. Best of luck!

    I over toned my hair before more than once and have always used the green colored lemon Axion dish soap. I put it in my hair while dry, then add a little water and lather it up and repeat twice. Always works and definitely an inexpensive fix.

      @@A143NA Definitely give it a try. You will wish you did it sooner. Make sure it's the green one with lemon. You can also do it while showering which I have done too. Lather it in for 2-5 and repeat it. Hope it helps you like it has for me.

      To be honest you can leave it in as long as you like. I usually just massage it in for 2-5 minutes then rinse and do it again, really work it in your hair. It's just dish soap so won't harm you. It does wonders if you have greasy hair too.

    I had my highlights done and was very happy with the result as the blonde suited me. I also had platinum blonde tape hair extensions and for the first time in a long time loved my hair. As I have a balyage I had to touch up my roots with a permanent colour and once I washed and blow dried my hair I was upset to see the root tint had toned my beautiful blonde hair to a dark blonde. I spent so much money on my hair and then ruined it. I would appreciate your suggestions.

    Your explanation makes perfect sense! This happened to me when I tried toning my hair this week. I read an article that indicated that this happens when applying too much product. Having said that, what is the recommended amount of toner? Could it be a timing thing? I left mine on for 20 mins, per the instructions on the box. 🙃 Thank you!!

      Teacher Ashley youre so wrong. You need to find the right person. You would never do your hair the same way as a hairstylist. Also, many customers want to have platinum hair in one session which is hard and a lot of the time is impossible. It is normal to make mistake, but a lot of customers wont speak up either so🤷‍♀️

    Another tip is to use an orange toner/conditioner for redheads and dilute with a conditioning agent. This is helpful because sometimes overtoned sections are due to being lighter/more bleached than the rest of your hair, and this can help bring it to the level of the rest of your hair.

    So I've been dying my hair silver for almost a year now. I recently bleached my roots, but beneath my roots the bleach made my hair very platinum. I used a very mild toner that did not do much and it did not cause the purple I am experiencing. After the toner, I dried it and put the grey on. In the more platinum area it really sucked up the base purple of the grey. Do you think the clarifying shampoo is going to do the trick?

    My hairdresser “toned” my hair and ow the color is uneven. Parts of my hair are yellowish and others are platinum blonde. The worse part is that the middle of my head/hair has a very noticeable platinum blonde streak going across my head. The bottom is a bit yellow and the top part is a very ugly yellow color. Scared to go anywhere else. It’s not the first time, nor even the fifth time someone has ruined my hair.
