- Just a quick tutorial on how I removed the purple over tone from my 613 wig.
Products used:
Purple Shampoo
BW 2 Powder
30 volume developer

I toned purple to rid the yellow tones and it went purple purple, im gonna try the bleach bath one more time to rid the purple this time, i just wanted to say thank you for your trails and errors to help simplify my process, that will be my tomorrows venture!! I did the exact same thing! I have a purple patch on the left side of my head, a brassy undertone in the back and platinum in the front. As many compliments I’ve received ts was not intentional 😂😂

Thank you for this video! My overtone happened from too much product @ too much time. I've been using Féria Hyper Platinum, followed by one of their power toners in Pearl or Champagne. Then, their Gloss . All over a 10 day period.
My hair is fine, but thick(make sense?) and porous with no pigment due to lifetime of natural Swedish to first bleach at hormonal changes.
*My success with repair overtone is personal*. There's no one size fix.
1) Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo x2; 2) Dawn liquid x2; 3) Dove Original bar soap x2. (Must lather very well).4) Condition 2-3 minutes, rinse well.
This can be a true physical workout! I once had a Clairol helpline lady tell me to use Laundry Detergent!😬
For my personal situation, with Hyper Platinum every 5-8 weeks, Bleach would be a concern for purple overdo. It will indeed wash out. Good luck all you lavender-haired beauties!

I have done this to my natural hair so many times!! I found 2 ways to remove the purple that work great and dont do any damage! First one.... Selsum blue dandruff shampoo if purple tone is very light
Second one...
vitamin C powder ( or crushed up tablets) and your regular conditioner. Mix vitamin C powder and conditioner in a bowl and apply all over hair. It has removed purple in my hair after as little as 5 minutes but can leave on for 45 minutes. Then just rinse out.
Thank you for this, the hair is already bleached & processed and didn't want to further cause damage to the hair. I used Head & Shoulders shampoo on the light purple areas and let it sit then washed it out. I had to do it a couple times but it worked. 🙌🏾

Clarifying shampoo! I do it to my hair all the time. Depending on how purple your hair is it can take up to three washes of clarifying shampoo! But it will remove it and your hair will look amazing!

Hello! I over toned the bottom of my hair. I left on the purple shampoo way too long. However, since my hair is damaged from a medicine that I take I am a little bit squeamish about doing this. Its only on one side and its not all that bad. If I put baby powder on over the purple it blends it into my platinum hair. Also, I used Head and shoulders on it which strips the hair and it did make it lighter. Thank u for this and I may use your post yet.
Yep. Over toned my hair to purple grey. Not what I wanted. I can’t home tonight did two washes w a generic blue dandruff shampoo n the color was then PERFECT

I used a clarifying shampoo on the areas that were purple. But I did not leave it on too long. Then I conditioned my hair like crazy. It helped so much. Finally after a few regular washes it was completely gone.

Idk if it works the same on wigs but I know it works on my real hair. When I over tone my blonde hair with purple shampoo, I use clarifying shampoo.

Hey! I kept it in for about 10 min. I kept watching to make sure it wouldn’t over process.
I just washed mine with hot water and a clarifying shampoo 😉

What are the measurements I should use for the BW2 and 30 V developer?
I don’t recall exact measurements but create it to a thick shampoo 🧴 paste consistency.
I guess mines didn’t work cause i didn’t add the shampoo to it 😢
I Didnt Even Leave Mine ! I Literally Dipped My Wig In The Water With The Purple Shampoo & Conditioner In It & It Came Out Mostly Dark Purple With Dark Purple Streaks Literally Everywhere

In order to not over process already blonde hair don’t use such a high developer. 30 is too high and could dry it out the hair even more

I used bleach and it only toned it just a lil bit ugh lmfaooo so annoying
