There was a guy, we went on a first date to a Monty Python double feature. Today we celebrated our 37th Wedding Anniversary. Laughing together is so vital.
A female who likes Monty Python? Wow! I have never seen one in the wild. Are you aware that you are a rare and endangered species? Have you ever listened to RUSH?
For years I taught a course that surveyed Christian theology for students becoming clergy. For the last day of class I always made the students watch "Life of Brian." The worst sin is taking ourselves too seriously. You will never convince me that "Life of Brian" is not the best Bible movie of all time. Thank you Eric Idle and Monty Python.

@@Jezza819 Fawlty Towers was great , only one season though . Each episode started with hooligans rearranging the letters on the hotel sign , my favorite was FARTY OWLS .
The first time I went to Scotland, I was amazed at how everyone would just "sing out loud" if a song started playing somewhere. (Plus they all seemed to know the words to everything!) But as an American music teacher, it moved me greatly to be able to participate in spontaneous song. If you try that in the US, you get a lot of "oh i don't know how to sing" or "I didn't study music" BS and people close up. Not in Scotland. 😆 Making music happen (solo or in a group) really does 'flush the emotions' that need to get moved out/exorcised. Quite therapeutic, and an instant way to connect to others--even total strangers.
I was so crushing on Eric during the Monty Python years….spent an entire day traipsing around downtown Chicago when Spamalot first came to town so I could meet him at a book signing at the now defunct Borders (😢). He was lovely and I still treasure my autographed CD and coconuts.
My favorite Python! Eric Idle! I actually made "always look on the bright side of life" my ring tone but only because I couldn't find the "universe song"! 😂
I cannot say which is my favorite, They are all great in their own ways. However, I do love the music above their comedy. The humour, satire, and sheer truth of it is amazing.
I wish Jordan had asked a few questions about his musical compositions and lyrics. He has a style that comes across as simple and funny, but it's really quite sophisticated. He's done a lot of music work outside Python (notably the theme for One Foot in the Grave). It's a very distinctive style. I compose for theater, and I wish I had his knack for reaching people the way he does. I just do my best and hope they like it. He really gets people.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges is that we all tend to put our heads on one basket for income and the rule of change has been at its high rate in this present administration.

When I first came from USA to live in New Zealand, I had previously had little exposure to English accents (I thought I spoke English but soon realised I spoke American! 😉). My New Zealander husband took me to a screening of Life of Brian in a hall with poor acoustics.
