    I am so excited to see your video and am hoping to be able to do this on my concrete walkway around my sunroom. I want to do small sections using different colors or patterns. Do you have suggestion of other videos that might help me or places to look for help? I have been doing acrylic pours on canvas and wood but nothing like concrete. Any tips or ideas would be welcome and so appreciated. Eventually I want to do this inside my kitchen.

    ive watched a lot of your videos and i am planning on doing a few pieces in my home. i have a few questions...
    1. after doing counter tops, are they chip proof? if i am cutting some vegetables on a cutting board and i accidently drop the knife or sharp object on the counter, will it damage it? if so, how do you fix it?
    2. can you do a couple of plain clear coats (drying in between) and then apply the colored coat to make it thicker? by doing that, does it make it more durable or is that just a waste of money?
    3. after watching your shower video (which was awesome looking), i wondered about mildew and mold getting behind the foam board. in any bathroom you use greenboard (or some variance) in the shower. i dont remember seeing you use that before installing. would you still do that or are you simply hanging the acrylic piece of right to the studs?
    im excited to get started, but i just dont want to waste a bunch of money and make too many mistakes. i want to do it right the first time...

    • @StoneCoatCountertops
      @StoneCoatCountertops  6 месяцев назад

      The tops are very durable when cured especially when the Ultimate Top Coat applied. You could sand down a chip and re-apply a clear coat to fix. If you'd like to change the colors down the road, sand with 220 and clean the dust. You're ready for another coat of epoxy!

    Primer vs Undercoat or both
    Are primer and undercoat interchangeable can each work alone or do you always use both ?

    • @StoneCoatCountertops
      @StoneCoatCountertops  6 месяцев назад +1

      Great questions! Bonding Primer is used over slick, non-porous surfaces like laminate, granite. Our Epoxy Undercoat is our formulation of paint and primer in one without ammonia. Ammonia needs to off gas out of the paint a minimum of 24 hours. We removed it in our Undercoat so you can coat over the paint in as little as 4 hours. Let me know if you have any further question's! -Mitch

    Can’t you use the other alcohol to pop bubbles instead of blow torch? The denatured.

    • @StoneCoatCountertops
      @StoneCoatCountertops  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, a heavy does of 91% iso will pop bubbles. I'd spray the top 2-3 times, let the alcohol evaporate between doses.

    All your epoxy countertops are awesome stunning beautiful however I have not seen one solid color project! Does that mean epoxy can bleed through what do I mean by stain after the complete drying process? I heard about other bad experiences Because I wanted to do one solid color white! Tell me is that a big mistake going with just one solid color because of its ability to absorb stains down the road?

      70% can divot the epoxy finish because of the excess water not evaporating in time for the material to self level again. I've used 91%, 99% and moonshine. Moonshine works just spray more on the countertop and less in your mouth for best results!!!! U Got This -Mitch
