I have such good memories of my grandpa with those change holders and I'm actually bummed you can't find them anywhere anymore! I'd totally have one!

Such a great technique! I usually use two hands for cracking eggs...I will practice with your technique, thanks for sharing!

I am quite clumsy in cracking eggs. Cracking with one hand is definitely very cool. After seeing your tip, I will give it a try first thing for breakfast tomorrow. Your sunny side up is lovely :)

Thanks! I'm sure I broke quite a few in my early days but that's what practice and scrambled eggs are for! ;-)

The curse-word-free-egg-cracking method! I've never gotten the hang of this but it looks so pro, I'll need to practice so I can impress myself! 😆

I don’t have any luck cracking it on a flat surface either LOL. I always get egg everywhere! I have not mastered doing it one-handed however. I will keep practicing thanks for the tip.

Flat surfaces are not my friend. I'm glad I'm not the only one! :-)

I remember the rubber coin purses. I’m vegan, but my stepdtr (14) eats eggs. I’ll share this with her. I showed her your “no flip over easy” trick. SO much easier. Btw, I love your voice.

Practicing with a bowl before going right into a recipe or skillet should help lessen any mess. You'll do great! ;-)

LOL Mrs. Kringle. I had one of those change holders back in the 70's!! Great video and demo. I can't do that. I have a touch like an elephant! My hand would squeeze right through and I would get egg all over my hand! LOL. I guess practice would make perfect in my case! Tfs. XOXO :)

This is how I crack my eggs too! I find using the rounded edge of my go-to bowl works like a charm every time. I "cracked up" at the coin holder! I had one in green when I was little that felt like my own guarded treasure. LOL

Rounded edges are a must for me, flat surfaces have never been my friend no matter how gingerly the tap. I have fond memories of my grandpa's coin holder and him thumbing through it to give me a tip for being his beautician as a kid. I think I had a cheaper "jelly" version in the 80's but didn't work as well as the true old school ones.

This random elder had her share of those little coin purses back in the day -- So maybe I can transfer the skill of opening them to eggs! Thanks for the demonstration.

I absolutely loved those things! My grandpa had one and would give me a quarter for combing his hair and putting aftershave on him as a kid. :-)
