I’ve started to hit the eggs together sometimes too. If I’m making 2, I’ll get 3 out and do two egg duels, the two losers becoming my breakfast. Otherwise I also always use a flat surface 😊
interesting video!! Learn some cooking facts :) Thanks!! Hope the volume is a bit louder though. & maybe less wasteful if the cracked eggs could be used?
Only thing is that if you crack on a flat surface the crack can run lengthwise. So what’s the trick to opening one if that happens? Happened to me this morning with two out of three.
Did she just say if you crack the egg the wrong way the shell can go inside and there may be bacteria? But she just cracked all the eggs then plopped the shells in with the eggs. Or am I blind lol.
Yes I did because I fed them all to the chickens. There's nothing on the eggs that the chickens haven't already been exposed to. This was a demonstration video on how to crack an egg...
Has anyone noticed that all images seem to be reversed in RUclips videos. If you have not, check the cookery book title in this particular video or car rego's on other videos. Why is it also that every cook or chef who demonstrates: 'The correct way to crack an egg' is always different from the next: 'How to crack an egg correctly'. I am sure there must be many ways to correctly crack an egg. In fact, any time you crack an egg and don't puncture the yolk or get little broken pieces of shell in the mixture has done it correctly that time. Am I wrong??
When you use the front-facing camera on a cell phone, the image is reversed. As for the correct way to crack an egg, by cracking it on a flat surface, you have less chance of getting shell fragments in it or breaking the yolk. So yes, that makes it the correct way IMO.
I should share my method of cracking eggs. I crack my eggs simulating the nursery rhyme of Humpty Dumpty. First I decorate my eggs to look like Humpty Dumpty by giving them reusable "jackets" that I made from paper custom designed to fit an egg and draw faces on them. To simulate the line "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall" I seat my decorated egg on top of a box with a bowl at the bottom for the egg to land in, which I call the "landing bowl". To simulate the line "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall" I knock the egg off the wall into the landing bowl, where upon landing, it cracks. Then to simulate the final part of the line "All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again" I bring out figurines of the king's horses and the king's men. (This last part is not part of the procedure, I just include it to be complete.) I then use a spoon to remove fragments of shell before using the egg.
Wow. Who woke you up on the wrong side of the bed? Hardly any food goes to waste around here - and definitely not eggs. Our chickens happily ate them all.
You do you but cracking against the side of a bowl really isn't the best way. If you're breaking the yolks, you're either eating old eggs or need some practice!
I'm 23 years old. Thank you. I learned something valuable.
Wonderful!

Haha! Love it! Egg duels!
This made me laugh out loud!

Our chickens eat all the eggs and shells that we dont use in cooking.
Jacque Pepin always cracks it on a flat surface too. Great chefs think alike 😉.
I'll take that as a compliment.

Oh that's weird. You're hitting it at the widest part?
@@FreshEggsDaily didn’t know you were supposed to. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing!
Should the eggs be room temperature or is cold okay?
Eggs separate better when they're cold, but I use room temp. eggs all the time.

I love your beautiful kitchen especially the design of your counter top.
Thank you! 😊
What is the maker of the pretty footed white bowl you used in this video?
Oh I think I found it on etsy?
Agreed!

Great tip - thanks for sharing 👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏿
You are very welcome
Eggscellent! Thank you.
I'm always breaking the yoke. 😢
You can do it!
One day, maybe my silly chicken channel might be a hundredth of yours. I have enjoyed your content since the beginning. Thank you!
Oh thank you.

@@FreshEggsDaily How come you love my method of cracking eggs?
I’m so disappointed you didn’t show a one handed technique! 😂
LOL! It's not something I really use often. It's hit or miss honestly! LOL!
Why are you putting the shells in the bowl with the eggs 🙄🤔🙄
Because I'm going to give the whole thing to the chickens when I'm done. They love eggs and the eggshells are good calcium for them.
I just watched a video that took 40 seconds to say the same thing
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@FreshEggsDaily I did actually enjoy the way you explained it in your video. I learned things I didn’t know about eggs from your explanation
@johnurban7333 well there you go!
too bad we can't hear you, sound is way too quiet
Sorry, You'll need to turn your volume all the way up for this one. Not sure what happened to my bluetooth for this video.
I hear her just fine
What a waste of eggs to bla bla bla

bullshit. yolks break using either method.
