How to replace control arms, sway bar links, lower ball joints. outer tie rods on a 2005 Volvo S60

  • I show how to replace many suspension parts on this 2005 Volvo S60 Non-Turbo (but I believe it doesn't matter if it is a turbo). I Install PDI's heavy duty parts

    here are a few specs i found. please double check for your self, because in the video some of the specs might not be correct. always check for yourself. i am not responsible for incorrect information. thank you.
    torque specs :
    drive shaft (axle bolt) stage one torque to 35 Nm
    stage 2 tighten/rotate 90 degrees
    ball joint in control arm aluminum stage one torque to 50 Nm
    stage 2 tighten/ rotate 40 degrees
    steering arm/tie rod end in wheel spindle steel: torque to 70 Nm
    (if aluminum) stage one torque to 50 Nm
    stage 2 tighten/rotate 40 degress
    anti roll bar link to spring strut torque to 50Nm
    anti roll bar link in anti-roll bar front torque to 60 Nm
    brake caliper to in wheel spindle torque to 100 Nm
    lock nut outer steering joint against inner steering joint toque to 70 Nm
    tie rod ball joint to steering gear torque to 10 Nm

    Hey there, I was replacing my control arms and while I was wrestling the control arm out I think I accidentally dislocated my driveshaft. What are some ways to tell if I did or not, and if I did how would I go about getting it back in? The boot is still intact

      @@nikomunoz5167 if you try to spin the drive shaft, it should not spin freely. If it spins real easily then the axle probably popped off the transmission. You can usually try to pop it back in. Make sure it goes in the gears, then slowly tap it with a small sledgehammer. You might want to look carefully where it goes in to make sure it popped out.
