Have you ever heard of having to break the outer tie rods in order to get the inner tie rods? This is what I was told and the reason given for why I had to replace them both.
The outer tie rods don’t have to get “broken” but you must remove them in order to replace the inner tie rod ends. So if your outer tie rods ends are old you might as well replace them while you’re doing the inner tie rod ends instead of having to revisit the job again soon down the line.

What kind of grease is used on the joint? Ceramic, copper or aluminum? Is the anti seize aluminum paste?
