Great video! Glad to see the ptarmigans finally come out to play! My main base is at Camp Office, and there is a flock that spawns right outside the front door. Though sometimes they are gone for a while even if I haven't been in ML for a while.
Nice effect at 7:44 I got a red-ish sparkle on the snow one time in the FA. Thought it is bug or something. But I can see other get it too.
Seeing the burdock root in your inv reminded me of a comment you made in a previous vid, about burdock only really being good for tea. Just thought I would point out that prepared burdock can be eaten normally and is 275 cal and about the same vit c as a carrot, while still being fairly light at .15kg. It makes for some decent traveling survival food that you can grab as you go and prep while warming up or waiting to sleep.

Similar to acorns, you can eat down burdock before turning it into acorn grounds or burdock tea, squeezing out calories when food is scarce on interloper.

You do need the glimmer fog/aurora for the helicopter. Its a cache just like this one. The story for this quest-line is interesting, I think you will like the ending.

Zak, I was just watching your episode 23 and was wondering why do didn’t take the meat into the Shed (still outside)? I don’t mean the garage part , but the shed part with the full bed.
It counts as outside, but you can build a fire there, near the bed, and cook everything safely, and even have a warm bed by a fire if you are worried about Cabin Fever!! 😊

There’s a buried cache at the helicopter you need an aurora to access.
Not sure if I just missed it somehow or if im just seeing things but no one else has brought it up, im not sure if you checked the cabinets next to the coal pile (if those are cabinets im seeing there).
I do not store low condition food, clothing or meds. I always place them. Just in case I wanna spend a month or two somewhere.
Clothes dont disappear once ruined, but everything else you did is great!

I'm curious. When you hit level 3(?) cooking you can smash cans open without losing any calories out of the can. Why would you still carry a can opener if you don't need one? Is there another reason to carry a can opener that I'm not aware of?
Zak likes collecting the cans, but yes you are correct, you can drop the can opener
I think the game will use your knife if you have one in your inventory, regardless of the skill. With the can opener the game will always use it first, so you don't loose condition of your knife.
In 18:47 , id advise to put them on the lil ted container: medicine cabinets actually stop medicine decay over time
