- After getting the backpack, we can carry more stuff, so what better time than now to climb the Summit? Getting there require multiple rope climbs. Of course, it is also a matter of getting all the loot down from the Summit. This, fortunately, is not too hard.
No chapters in this series, to keep immersion more viable. This might change in the future.

I can rarely sleep through a new video. Luckily there are plenty of videos that I've already seen, and are 5 and 6 hrs long. Sleep like a baby!

Man, the bear near deer clearing is my nemesis. Homie is always in my way and always mauls me when I try and kill him haha. Glad he didn’t cause you too much trouble
The key when dealing with bears and moose are ledges, escape routes, and patience. Secondly a good supply of arrows as insurance.
@@aaronberg221 yes I know how to kill bears, I wasn’t asking for advice I just wanted to joke about that one stupid bear who always gives me trouble. Everyone has That One Bear and this one is mine lol

The anxiety is real when Zak is just casually walking the wolf and having his back to it the entire time. And All I can think about is: "Any second this wolf will hit him from behind omg" lol

Been lying down for almost a week with a throat infection (unable to really eat and drink), so just want to say thanks for the content. One 90 min video has lasted me several hours as I have been falling asleep (not your fault). So yeah the last 3 videos has kept me going for the last two days.
And one year later I am in a similar position. I love it!

Citrus water helped me a lot when I had a hard time drinking. It gave me c and b vitamins which was very helpful when I felt like I was about to perish.

I noticed the "hum" too. Since getting the technical backpack you hear a click and a zipper whenever you go into your inventory. When you go out of your inventory you hear it in reverse.
I think the reduced sprains with crampons is just as good if not better than the reduced climb drain. It's applicable so often it's hard for me to justify +1/+1 warmth over it and I usually run satchel/crampons.

54:50 THIS is the reason i love Mountaineer's Hut so much, you can do everything all day and night for the expense of less stable temperature, which isn't that big of a deal in the late game
Hey Zak! Your videos have inspired me to pick this game back up again. I'm only playing Pilgrim for now but enjoying it so far. The only issue I'm having is the absolute abundance of loot, I'm extremely weighed down by books, tools, just everything :D I need to shake off my hoarding ways :)

I've had that in Mountaineer's Hut as well where you can sometimes read and craft at night without an aurora. But there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when you can do it in regards to weather conditions or how bright it is. I think it's a glitch.
Soon I'll start my new run after the console update and I'll be sure to praise Larry

I seeing you also closing doors, i wonder why they didnt impliment some sort of warmth bonus for actually closing doors. Not expecting a huge amount, but 1-2'c wouldnt hurt :D
If one has time if you had to the lookout across from the abandoned lookout in mountain Town notice when you open the door there's a whole different audio from when the door is closed if there's weather outside. I was trying to ponder your comment and this is the closest thing I could think of it's not anything to do with temperature but it's a definite indicator that a door is opened and not opened. This probably other places but this one popped in my head first. One would think though that the temperature would change if the door is open and it's a small space while there's no loading screen.
I think it does I always see a hint in loading screens telling me to shut doors for extra warmth

Got to admit after killing over 500 wolves in Stalker I just turn them off for my sandbox runs as they are a poorly implemented mechanic imo. Would of been much better if there had been fewer but more difficult interactions and certainly not endless respawning but each to their own.

Here is no emotional stuff like screaming or reacting in "fun ways", no visual stuff, HUD or pop ups, to break emersion (except the occational offline follow, but that's just cute) - and no, what to call it, lack of awareness, unfocusedness... In all, care for the viewers! And we appreciate it sooo much

Your videos are so calm and relaxing, I've been trying to watch this series, but I keep falling asleep. I probably watched the first 8 videos like 10 times each cause I keep on falling asleep.
35:00 I found a hacksaw under the crates in front of the Plane. Had a lot more luck on my interloper on the summit. Found very good clothing
in case you're interested, at 34:00 you're talking about the two crates in the back of the plane - in my run, loper as well, actually both of them had loot: one was accelerant and matches, the other had loot as well, itwas a rope and i think crampons? i certainly had crampons somewhere on the summit but can't remember where. there was a second rope in the summit cave, and actually a third rope in the little cave below the summit. but yea certainly worth checking both of those crates.
I love the intro screen/music. It just really sets the perfect mood for the next hour or two of the video.
One thing about this game that has always amazed me, is how under the right conditions, you can see darn near forever. I've had a couple times, early, when I was learning the game, that I was wandering around basically lost, and then the sky cleared, and I could see a rope climb far across the valley that was my salvation, or perhaps times I've spotted cabins/huts far off, when I desperately needed shelter. So the ability to, at times, see far off, has always been a super cool part of the game for me.
Then you suggested you could build the fire on top of the airplane, and wondered if you could see it from the camp. I thought this was very intriguing, and then you said you would try it. Unfortunately, although you said you could see the fire, when you got down below, I couldn't see it in the video. I watch on my big screen TV, so perhaps it is the resolution of the TV, but I was disappointed you said you could see it, but I could not ROFL. Of course, this means, I am just going to have to try it myself now. Tks for the great vids. It's fun to be going on this journey with you.

I was not able to read in the cabin unless I was right next to the doorway at night. It must have changed a little bit to allow that under the hole in the roof in the cabin.

1:21:00 the sticks and branches outside the mountaineer hut are bugged, you see them when going to the hut and they are gone when exiting the hut.
On the aspect of Zen if the channel producer doesn't mind as mentioned prior in videos do you wish for another channel producer's name that also does the smooth talk with awesome stuff?
I noticed a lot of people talking about the phonetic and zoning one can do to this videos while I was here for the information I do have to agree it is quite appeasing to the ears isn't it.

Great episode! I'm taking a break from playing TLD (I bought new Rimworld DLC 😅... I'll come back to TLD for new content drop probably) but I keep watching everything on your channel, your content is super relaxing. Can't wait for mid/late game as you'll surely give me ideas what I can do in my own runs.
I think the crampons do actually end up influencing how much fatigue is used to climb ropes. But if I'm correct, it is indirectly. I believe you climb faster at high stamina and quite a bit slower at low stamina. And your fatigue drains linearly while climbing, as far as I can tell. Anyway, I believe keeping your stamina as high as possible will shorten your climb duration, reducing fatigue. But I have never timed the difference, so I could be wrong! I guessed 63 for the fire striker. So close!

Hey Zak, 38:56 cheesy technics with fire. Do you know if torches’ temperatures stack up? E.g., can you throw 5 torches and get +15C bonus?
Yes, they stack. In my Stalker video you can see an example of it, where a moose is too far from a fire

Zak, please, try to not mistake drinking a coffee and drinking a moose. I think the two are quite different, but that's just my opinion.
I guessed 60% for the firestriker and it was 62% 🎉
The first time I did the cave route up it was so foggy I somehow ended up falling down a cliff and ended up back at deer clearing

i found a maglens on interloper one time near the corpse in the snow in the cave (11:00), is really hard to see it if is there because is half buried
How many hours do you have in the game?
Oh also, I wanted to ask; what’s the highest level to get shooting up to in Interloper?
I believe you can max it out as mentioned in a prior video because you can find I think three bullets somewhere and as long as you have access to the mechanism and gunpowder you can go right to the tip top level by making and deconstructing and making bullets but I'm not sure it may have changed.
Hm. Until now in my run I found 7x guns guns guns and 5x shooting guides for the rifle. This means lvl 4 without shooting...
It is sad. But I have to find one shooting guide for lvl 5 :/
What could be used that's tube-like for siphoning gasoline toward lantern fuel or fire-starting fluid?
i am disapointed with the crampons. i thought they helped u with ur tired meter by ur temp-water. not just stamina....... i mean yea i guess on the big climbs they are useful... but ughh.. so rarely u do those types of climbs. carry extra weight for basically no overal benefit. imo

its a game and overal i very much enjoy it. i like the simplicty of it. just survive. explore if u want. when u want etc. very casual game. at least on lower difficulties.
I've been curious what kind of plane this was carrying canned peaches and airline food, leather and cloth and sewing materials, sharpening stones, a fricken rifle and associated ammo and a rifle training manual and several cleaning kits, 5 stims and bandages and antibiotics.... Is this an army supply plane? who flies with leather and pelts in their cargo?
I swear its gotta be a different plane from the one in northern pleasant valley with the passengers
Passenger planes also carry freight simultaneously. This game is 100% realistic, that must be the answer.

Dude give some tips to learn the maps for beginners. Because navigating in any region is very difficult. If we dont even know where we spawn we cant find the matches.
Spend 50 days in a region on your chosen difficulty, is the best way
