So, hear me out. The stabiliter phantom choice has one tactic that makes sense to pick Phantom with a giant castle in front of you. Connect to the castle. Move some form of heavy weapon alpha strike into that castle. Direct fire. Explosions. Profit. This plan is predicated on a heavy weapon rush... which they didn't even try to do... I don't know what phantom was picked for there.
Some really good matches. Ggs to all! Particularly liked a few of ATA's plays Game 1) 9:34 Game 2) 29:20 Game 3) 59:04 Game 4) 1:05:59 Game 5) 1:28:01 ^peak forts o-o Game 6) 1:54:44 Game 7) 2:18:16 Game 8) 2:31:26 Game 9) 2:44:36 Game 10) 3:01:18
The first ATA vs. Bar match was nuts. Bar kinda threw with not finishing or firing the rockets. In fact, the sold a rocket they had just finished to build a flak with a door so small it couldn't even shoot the nuke. Not sure what the thought process was there, but if they had hard rushed rockets I think they would have won.
9th game. Why the hell does ATA not protect their core on the top AT ALL. I mean. They have enough materials to spam 4 layers of wood/metal. But not enough for the tiniest roof on their core+
team pro aim is kinda of amazing. definitely lives up to the name. somehow their economy game is usually even more impressive than their aim. always way ahead in metal
37:19 There's probably a really big delay between commentary and the game itself. But how did Anti-turbine alliance know that mortars were coming with building AA immediately at that moment?
Incursus does the commentary live. He joins the match as an Observer to cast the matches. Since the players of both the teams are very experienced, they can almost tell what the opponent team has placed in their fort just by looking at the opponent's fort structure. Mortars need an open roof to fire, and Team Anti-Turbine Alliance was constantly scouting the enemy fort, so they saw those mortar placements and immediately built AA. Btw in this particular map, there is a huge part of terrain in between, so using mortars by either team is an obvious choice, for which, you obviously need AA to defend.
Thanks for the video.

That shot.... GG.
innit, bruv
14:53 that sandbag placement to open up ALL that wood from foreground to background in a split second is GENIUS.
A common trick in the competitive games.
Yeah ikr

What an absolutely fucking gigachad move that would be. Obvious as hell I think, but damn if it wouldn't be cool to have seen.
@@mattrocde Being a 3rd place match, it seemed the time for such audacity, but alas nothing of the sort came to pass.

60FPS!!! That's awesome, I hope you keep it up if that's possible.

Probably just experience. It's what you do on that map
@@DarkKen87 Oh yeah that makes sense. I don't play the game so I didn't know.
They didn't cap the roof above the mortars. That's a pretty big indicator of what's there.
