This is the 3rd song in the TP trilogy..First is Come and Go with Me...then Close the Door and then comes Turn off the Lights...Teddy knew what he was doing
Child, you got me screaming, laughing at your facial expressions....and YES we were in a CHOKEHOLD. Heck I almost turned my own light off listening. Love watching you react and learn about different music.😂❤
LOL... The babies born in the late 40s and early 50s wwere termed the "Baby Boomer Generation" because when WWII came to an end and the fellas came home there were many, many babies being born. But yes, Marvin, Barry, Teddy, and Al songs made lots of babies too but those babies are not "Baby Boomers".
@veronicasmith7076 I should've clarified: some of we Baby-Boomers(born between 1946-1964) were lucky enough to be teen-age high-schoolers when all these great artists were at their best.😉
Yes, I'm one of the lucky boomers! I was 20 in 1979 when this song was released. I saw the best concert ever starring Teddy P. and Chic in Washington DC at that time. It was soulful, sophisticated, and sexy all at the same damn time❤️🔥💋💣😍
Ashley has the cutest reactions 😎y’all! That is why we love her! 😎💟 The eyes! The comments! The smile! The surprised face! Keep up the authenticity! We love ❤️ it! A nice request! 😎😎😎😎😎👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 stars! He had me in a chokehold! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
This concert was in the early 80s my aunt's went to see it. It was a Lady's only concert and they said women were throwing their underwear on the stage 😂
Teddy P would have for ladies only concerts and of course they were throwing panties up on the stage at him….. Pure Masculinity Pure Soul Singer…. My homie from Philly is a true legend…. Nothing but classics
Hey Ashley, I'm a new subscriber. I like your reactions to the old school music. It's great to see the younger generation going back to listen to the artist that came before today's music. It shows you just how great music was until things got shook up in the industry. I love your show though, your reaction to the music is priceless. Gerald Levert - Baby Hold On To Me (feat. Eddie Levert)
5 years ago, I was at my nephews for 4th of July family get together, my brother and I were talking and my nephew put this song and said to me and his dad we didn't nothing about this meaning the song. My brother said to him how do you think you got here? My son is 6 months older than him, and I knew about Teddy!
Play the triple threat of Come and go with me, Close the door, and Turn off the lights back to back to back. Teddy said those three songs are connected.
This is what’s missing in todays music for Us .. the black male soloist, Teddy had command of his music, the stage , and his adoring audiences. Didn’t matter if he was in the U.S.A. or performing abroad internationally, he had them in the palm of his hands❤👊🏿💯
In the 70's that was the signal NOT to go knocking on you mama and daddy's bedroom door this Stairway To Heaven by the O'Jays or anything by Barry White 😂
It’s unfortunate some of the new singers today rely on auto tunes and heavy bass to drown out the fact they are unable to carry a tune. Back in the day; you actually had to have talent, RIP TEDDY
This is the song that made you grab a woman and held her so dam close until you felt her love flowing in the right spots! DAM! Love was so right! I miss thems days!
If I didn't know it, I would think Ashley got a little Hot and Bothered, the expressions on her face but then again that's what T.P., does to the Ladiesssss.
I know it's good to be aware of music by any means possible, but I'm a little saddened when I hear that the first time so many of you young reactors get to hear part of any great song is through a TV commercial or a movie.
Teddy did the impossible! Turned up the heat and lowered the power bill at the same time😛
😂😂😂
😂
This is the 3rd song in the TP trilogy..First is Come and Go with Me...then Close the Door and then comes Turn off the Lights...Teddy knew what he was doing
Facts 🔥🔥
He had the ladies in a frenzy at his concerts! 😎😎❤️❤️❤️
Never thought about it that way. Great comment!. 😀

You were so flustered listening to some teddy p 😂😂
Child, you got me screaming, laughing at your facial expressions....and YES we were in a CHOKEHOLD. Heck I almost turned my own light off listening.
Love watching you react and learn about different music.😂❤
We called this "baby makin' music".
Your Grandma and Mom would appreciate this!!!! Great reaction!
In the 70s, we had Marvin, Barry, Teddy, and Al. Now you know why we're called the "Baby-Boomers".😁

@@veronicasmith7076I was about to comment the same thing, but I’m right at the end-1964!

At this time … Teddy was on a major tour. Concerts for Women Only . .. No men were allowed to attend. He is the only artist to ever do this.
