      wait @Mr. Sujano was in London? I'd have bought ya one of those beers for all the emulator help you have given me. I actually grew up in st Thomas and live just outside of old east village. st Thomas has a few interesting activities like the Iron horse festival, the rail museum is very cool, the playhouse, drag strip just south of town on the way to Port Stanley. also a few films have been shot in st Thomas, like the grudge, Mr head mistress, lock and key, total recall remake. London had tins if stuff to do there is are throwing just around the corner from the Kelloggs plant. Kelloggs is also gaining a hard Rock hotel now. there is the velodrome, London airshow, any of the events at the budweiser gardens which is the hockey rink across from the Covent garden market. Dundas place in the core, rock the park also in the core, tilt arcade bar, comic con, the creators of warfare were in downtown London.

    I'm glad you shared the St Thomas Elevated park. I've been there and it's great.

    I've lived in London most of my life and I wouldn't recommend old east village as an attraction at the moment as London has a considerable drug problem with many of the people congregating in that area as well as most of Dundas Street stretching from downtown all the way to the far eat part of the city which is a shame because many of those businesses suffer because of it but it's a great city for bike trails and parks and if you like indoor obstacle courses The Factory is a pretty cool place to go and it's not terribly expensive to take kids there for a few hours of fun

    • @TheAverageTourist
      @TheAverageTourist  Год назад

      It's too bad that the area is so run down because some of the businesses looked like they could be really great. I hope the rent is cheap for them at least!

    • @theQuickining
      @theQuickining Год назад

      @@TheAverageTourist yeah its a shame they had a few neat stores along Dundas street if you go around the western fair market area they still have some cool stores to checkout and it's not as bad but you still run into the occasional junkie

    Labatt was founded by "John Balkwell"
    "THE LATE JOHN KINDER LABATT
    Born, King’s County, Ireland, 1803; the son of Valentine Knightly Chetwoode Labatt. Came to Canada when a young man and settled in London. Purchased in 1832 what is now the large brewery business with a Mr. Eccles from John Balkwell, the original owner. He later bought Mr. Eccles’ interest in the company and conducted the business alone until his death in 1866, when he was succeeded by his son the late John Labatt. He was a very prominent figure in the city during the many years he formed a part of the life of London.
    Married, August 17th, 1833, Eliza Kell. To them were born five sons and nine daughters."

      So many things were still closed due to covid at the time. And yes, St. Thomas isn't London, but an activity if you are in London would be to visit St. Thomas for the day. I used to go often in the summer when I lived in London. 👌 need to add the Jail house to my list. And I forgot it's Budweiser gardens now... used to be John Labatt Centre when I live there!

    London is actually getting incredibly dangerous downtown.
    Looting stores and assaulting shopkeepers.
    I think the added police foot patrol office is a step in the right direction.
    But I would prefer cameras installed everywhere, to catch these deviants.
    It's not remotely a safe area to walk around anymore.
