I flew with LEGO for the first time for BrickFair Virginia 22. Dude, I was super stressed out. I packed it like you did, but I also packed my clothes around it. They took my carry-on from me for each plane. Augh..... It all made it just fine. Only a few rebuilds.
Trip back home - much less stress. I used the hotel exercise room to weigh my suitcases. Figured out a way to get less than 50 pounds each. Yes, I added tons of PAB Wall & garage sale stuff, cause I live 5 hours away from a PAB Wall. All worth it & all needed fixing when I got home.
Yet again your black falcon army is getting bigger and bigger but I hope your Army setup survives the trip man

This might just be a stupid idea, but many Medieval armies would have people like drummers and trumpeters and the like. Perhaps that would be something to add to the leaders of (some of) your units? Then there would be a banner, a leader, and a musician.

Before I decided I was driving to BrickWorld, I was thinking of flying and how I could probably get away with a carry on & backpack.. then I realized I'd need a checked to carry the LEGO I plan to buy LOL. Hard to predict what the purchasing will be like.
When I went to Billund, my dad was with me and brought my LEGO back to Canada as I continued through Europe. I had to buy him a checked bag so he could check his carry on and carry the LEGO I bought for me haha
I hope i can make it to brickwold and see it in person, it would be cool if you made a video about it at brickwold

Pre-packed and ready! Been on both good and bad sides of the LEGO TSA… sometimes they open all of it up. Most times nothing… hopefully nothing this time.
