This was a shocking performance. Check out their performance live on Conan. Disturb’s version is the best performance of this classic, even Simon and Garfunkel gave them huge wraps.
You are really missing out if you don't do a different version. they rock. His voice is amazing. I've seen him in concert there are no nerves.

What a pity. But you got a very bad version. The song is sung exceptionally well by him. Much better than the original for me. What you have heard here hurts your ears. This version should be destroyed. No meaningful assessment is possible here. Please see another version and repeat this reaction. You will hear a different song.

I am not sure how you decide what version you react to but this is about the 5th song where you picked a really bad version or one where the audio is messed up. Probably bets thing to do is pick the version with the most views.

Good review I think you reacted to the wrong version of this song please check out the version they did on the Conan show were it shows the power of his voice.

What a shame. The are two amazing versions of this, both with millions of views - the official video, the Conan live version (where he was sick - check the fever in his eyes). Either (both) would work, this was not the one to react to, sorry. He has been performing since the 1990s, in front of tens of thousands, live on Conan with an audience of millions. He does not get nervous, this is really, really poor audio.
David said he was really nervous while waiting backstage. That's why he smoked a joint then claimed he was sick to explain the symptoms.

Hadn't seen this version before. I think what happened was that his own voice was too low (or non-existent) for those softer parts in the beginning. As soon as he went up and with a bit more volume, he was ok. And if the levels are wrong, you can start to be too careful and think too much "can I hear now, am I in pitch" etc. Was a problem for me in our training place before I got ear monitors. A small room with a real (aka not eletcric) drum set, so the guitars and bass had to be loud to be heard etc. It's so much easier to sing freely when you can hear what's going on 🤣

The version on the Conan Show in 2016 is much better.
There is definitely something wrong going on. He is classically trained apparently, and Disturbed is a heavy Metal band. There is a better version of the song years ago.

X factor Australia? But why? The original is so clean and breathtaking. The Conan version is gutteral and moving. But the factor version? I've got to say your the first reactors out of maybe a couple hundred that ive seen react to this version.

Hi guys, love your channel. They were definitely entertainment for the show. There’s a much better version you could watch when they were live on David Letterman. A talk show here in the states. I don’t know how to add a link. On this version it sounds to me like he’s screaming a lot. but it’s a more controlled performance. I think you’ll be surprised at the difference. Paul Simon sent Disturbed a message after he heard it and told him it was now their song.

So I see you have discovered the algorithm-pushing power of reacting to Nightwish,
if you can afford an interesting video with less crowd:
Please check out Ningen Isu, they're an old Japanese metal band,
they are just as good and true as Judas Priest and Metallica, heavily inspired by Priest and Kiss,
but the singing draws a lot from traditional Japanese opera singing.
They're a bassist, a drummer and a lead guitarrist who sings,
but their combined sound is full and captivating, and leaves nothing to be desired (in my opinion).
If you want to check them out, you can do "Imomushi" (the caterpillar)
for a sort of rock ballad about how he percieves imself to be an ugly ugly worm - very beautiful -,
or "Namahage" (which apperantly refers to a New Years tradition) for a more rock heavy song
with varied vocal elements by both the main vocalist and the bassist who does backing vocals,
some of which are some kind of yelled interjectons.
I recommend forestella's Sound of Silence.

As others have said, you should react to the Conan live version or the official video. Disturbed's cover is the best I have heard of this song and you are not getting the effect of this performane.
This was definitely the wrong version to react to. There had to be something messed up in the audio production. I can even see it on David's face that it's not right but he kept trucking like a true performer. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
The ring light(halo) needs to reflect in the window behind Cheryl this time, since she is holier than thou. Doesn't matter; I'm still in love. I feel your pain, Sean, because of their chatter. There is a much better rendition of this on a show from the U. S. This version is all over the place.
This make me questions a lot.. i did some search, and definitely it is different from the version that i've heard..
Because when i first heard him it is stunning but when i heard this version it is bad..

Nervous?? Wow, you guys really are clueless... The sound crew f*ck'd this one up for Disturbed, nothing to do with David's singing abilities (which are incredible!)
Disturbed is one of the most successful international heavy rock/metal bands of modern times. They have performed around the world for over 20 years, and have an album that's gone platinum FIVE times... David has one of the best voices of modern times as well, considering he was clasically trained as a cantor before moving onto metal music. As for this song, their official video has over 837 MILLION views for a reason!
Shame you guys didn't put more (any) effort into researching which version to react to before embarassing yourselves. You could learn a lot from researching such a talented and successful band and performer :)

Guys, you keep reacting to the wrong versions of stuff. Ask people what concerts etc you should react to so you can get the best sound etc for your reaction. If not you won't get the best experience and miss out. And get headphones.
Your pauses were way too long. What said could have been said in two sentences.
There are better versions of this performance. More importantly, listen to some typical/classic Disturbed like "Down with the Sickness" or "Stupify".
Unfortunately you picked the worst live version to react to. Poor audio quality. If I were you I'd go again and react to the live version on the Conan show, or the official video! :)

By the way, Diana Ankudinova just realesed her first authoral song (lyrics and music). She kept it simple but perfect in the music and deep In meaning (definitely autobiographical, she went through a lot when very young). You will hear her how versatile she is!

Literally the worst recording of this incredible cover I’ve ever heard, and definitely poor sound mixing 😢 Definitely check out their official video and the Conan live version as this is an amazing cover with millions upon millions of views

It’s probably has been mentioned to you for a far superior version of the cover by Disturbed the Conan o’Brian’s show performance but Disturbed was much better especially in the beginning as this one I stop watching your video because it was so 😣.

This turned out to be an interesting object lesson, but it's a TERRIBLE representation of their capabilities. Whether or not you react to it, you NEED to hear a better version--either the studio/MV or the live on Conan.
