During the color consistency part, can you share which fleet wrap company has it?

How's the overlaminate bond to resin printed film? I ask because Gen 3 inks on the HP include overcoat in their formulation which prevents a strong overlaminate bond (you can rip freshly laminated 8519 off 180 cleanly, almost so clean you can reapply the lam to the 180...) I assume resin is very similar to latex if it's water based and since they're advertising this as scratch resistant it must also have overcoat in the resin formulation. This likely means that laminates won't bond strongly to resin prints, just like the HP300 series' prints via gen 3 inks. Can anyone confirm lamination creates a strong bond with resin prints, one that mirrors what you would find with solvent prints? or are we going to see the next iteration of this printer also have an independent overcoat ink cartridge+printhead just like the hp's latest hunks of junk.

Would love to see an answer on this, as I'm looking at pulling the trigger on one soon.

@@bogeywins If you do any laminating, definitely get it figured out before you purchase. We didn't do that and found out the hard way with our 365 and now it's getting the boot shortly.... NEVER would have purchased it if we knew about the overlaminate issues that nobody short of signs101 talks about... I'll let you know if I learn anything, maybe you could do the same 👍

@@thesmuuuuggh can you expand on that? I used to have a 310 and didn't have any delam issues. You're saying you are having issues with a 365?

@@bogeywins 100% have issues with my 365, but this is a widespread gen 3 ink issue, so it affects all 300 series HP latex printers. HP brought out the 700, 800, and now 630 printers with generation 4 inks that have literally separated the overcoat/hardener from the other inks and put it on it's own printhead and ink cartridge so that laminates will now bond to the print how they should. They didn't do this to help the consumer 'save ink' like they suggest, they did it to cover their asses. Type in hp latex delamination and check out some signs101 threads, it's a rather sad read. I promise you your laminated prints off the 310 are compromised. If you have any laying around your shop do a test pull - find a printed area, cut the overlam and flick it up so you can actually tug on it and watch as it doesn't hold. Reflective is generally even worse than standard print films, but it won't matter what substrate you use - if there's overcoat, lam can't bond.
