Thank you, Printer Guy for this video! I have a Canon MX920. A few weeks ago, it only printed color on output, but no black letters or lines. Then, today, it only printed blank sheets where I tried to COPY. No messages regarding out-of-ink cartridges. After watching your video, it occurred to me that the large black ink cartridge is the one that prints the black only. As you stated, I thought that cartridge might have dried ink despite the printer not indicating otherwise. I changed the cartridge and it is printing black on the COPY. While printers are cheap, you saved me the hassle of buying a new one. Not to mention all of the unused ink that would have gone to waste. THANK YOU!!
I thought the same I have a Canon Prixma Mx 922, I cleaned the cartridge and bought a new cartridge, but I still had the same problem. I did also buy the cleaning system from amazon

The Fix that worked for me is , I went to Printer Preferences , select photo Printing , media type-plain paper and A4 paper size, no more blank pages for me.
I tried your idea and it printed for me too, but it lays down too much ink for normal text black and white printing. Still it printed, which brings up the question, why will it not print standard black and white instead of photo?
@@MissDebra your guess is good as mine, my printer was older, but you can try to switch other paper types , any other option besides photo printing to check to see if it fixes your issue. There should also be option where you can select' Save ink-toner while printing'

Canon printer MG6820: I can print in Word intermittently. I ran a test on the printer and it prints fine and says the heads are clean. However it either prints fine or blank pages in Word or directly from a website. The nozzles are obviously good, the ink is full, but it is choosing to print when it wants to. What could be causing this? Update: I checked my small black and it was dry! I replaced it with a new cartridge and now the printing works on standard print. Yeah this helped a lot, it was over a year since I printed on my hp printer and it’s those cube like ink cartridges (67xl) glad I had an extra set lying around and I swapped them out and sure enough it worked
Ok so I have an HP3830 and I'm assuming from what you said I don't have a printer head, just the carriage carrying the ink. The issue is confusing because I'm printing BLANKS when I try to print from my phone, but it's fine when I make a COPY...? Does that make a difference? I'm PRAYING it's as easy as getting new ink! Hi, I have an HP 8020 and it's been working fine. It printed out my test page just fine. The only thing different is I loaded paper into my printer. I checked the cartridges and the printer stated that my ink is fine. I removed some of the paper, thinking it might be too full. But, paper is coming out fine. I unplugged, waited a bit, plugged it back in. Still, blank sheets. I'm trying to print a document that I made on Word. Frustrating! Thanks anyway!

With a DeskJet printer, it's most likely dried out ink cartridges. As soon as you change out the cartridges, you're gonna be printing back to normal they most likely have dried out and the system may be telling you that they're full, but they've dried if this is the case.

Yes, this is a very common problem among printers. My best guess is that you may need a Software Update. Or you may just need to reset the printer. Somehow this issue arises and many printers overtime. That is my best guess at this time if I come up with a better solution, I will put out a video. Thank you very much for your comment.

I have a Epson WF-100 producing blank pages..The problem is that the tubing of your cleaning kit doesn't fit the ink "ports"in the printhead. The tubing is way too narrow. Not only your cleaning kit but ALL out there have the same problem. This means that none of the videos on RUclips is useful to learn how to unclog my printhead. What to do?

Okay so my Epson xp420 it prints blank test pages, no nozzle check pages and document pages from my phone and my computer. The ink is new and I've done head cleaning but everything is still black. Hello, I recently bought a Epson ET-2720 printer and I needed it for sublimation. I accidentally poured the wrong ink in the printer which I had to use a syringe to take as much of it out. I then proceeded to print pictures to help me remove any ink that could be left inside. Once the ink was out I was able to pour in the correct ink (sublimation ink). I now have the problem that the ink won’t travel up the tubes into the small cartridges. When I print my nozzle check, the only thing that prints is the color yellow, red, and blue. The rest is a blank sheet no wording. Any suggestions on what I need to do?
I have a canon TS3500 series. Does not even attempt to print just shoots the blank paper straight thru the machine. I have unplugged it for 1 minute and have held down the the stop button till it blinks twice still wont print. Tried this several times , same result.

Tried another print of a color picture and on the print screen appearing I switched from Black to color and I got the print of the color page. Tells me my B nozzle clogged which going to try to resolve today---fixes for clogged with home-made solution here on RUclips

Yes in this case usually the solution is new ink. You may be able to copy because only black ink is used during copying.

The new printhead is not functioning properly, you ,may be better off cleaning your clogged printhead.
Why would a Xerox c8055 copier print black very light? Gets more light towards lower half of the page. Replaced toner and drum, no improvement.

With a DeskJet printer, it's most likely dried out ink cartridges. As soon as you change out the cartridges, you're gonna be printing back to normal they most likely have dried out and the system may be telling you that they're full, but they've dried if this is the case.

I print from the phone - no issues at all. Connect to Mac via Wi-Fi / cable - prints blanks. Tried everything, it simply refuses to work

It sounds like you will need to reestablish the connection between the pc and printer. Are you connected with an a to b usb cable?

Okay so my Epson xp420 it prints blank test pages, no nozzle check pages and document pages from my phone and my computer. The ink is new and I've done head cleaning but everything is still black. The firmware and drivers are current. Will the solution actually solve this since I know the ink isn't the problem and the head has been cleaned?

I bought a 2nd hand epson xp 310, ink was for sure dried up. I did printhead cleaning and still printed blank. I purchased and installed a new print head and new inks.. still printing blank. I already gave up but it just bothers me on what I may have missed. What could be wrong? 🤦♂️🤣

Mine is new, the test page worked, I was on with Brother Tech support they said the printer works...its the connection?? something else.

Hello, I recently bought a Epson ET-2720 printer and I needed it for sublimation. I accidentally poured the wrong ink in the printer which I had to use a syringe to take as much of it out. I then proceeded to print pictures to help me remove any ink that could be left inside. Once the ink was out I was able to pour in the correct ink (sublimation ink). I now have the problem that the ink won’t travel up the tubes into the small cartridges. When I print my nozzle check, the only thing that prints is the color yellow, red, and blue. The rest is a blank sheet no wording. Any suggestions on what I need to do?
I have a canon TS3500 series. Does not even attempt to print just shoots the blank paper straight thru the machine. I have unplugged it for 1 minute and have held down the the stop button till it blinks twice still wont print. Tried this several times , same result.
I received no messages saying out of ink, so Im not sure changing the cartridge will help.

Check the cartridges and computer, it sounds like a malfunction of one of those two.
My printer is practically new, only a couple months old. It’s still printing blank pages. I’ve done the head check and printed the pages to see if that’s what’s wrong, and there are no skips, it’s all perfect. Why is my printer still printing blank pages?
The Fix that worked for me is , I went to Printer Preferences , select photo Printing , media type-plain paper and A4 paper size, try that see this works for you.

If no colors print, you are printing blank pages. Which required a full printhead cleaning.

I have came to this video, after I actually cleaned my ink with the kit, but didn't find my answer. Because my printer is now printing blank after the cleaning process. Before it only had issue with CYAN.
Run a printhead cleaning.

For the deskjets just change the ink cartridge to get color back.
printing blank pages--------ran the nozzle check and saw no ink issues with what printed-----------I'm sure you would agree cleaning heads is not going to fix anything if the nozzle print results look good, right? What else can be causing printing blanks??????

@@justinaarrington3149 , I looked closer at the nozzle check print and determined black was not printing though the visual showed not empty of black ink. Tried another print of a color picture and on the print screen appearing I switched from Black to color and I got the print of the color page. Tells me my B nozzle clogged which going to try to resolve today---fixes for clogged with home-made solution here on RUclips
thanks for perfect explaining I used many printers but from Canon and Hp 7500a and Epson I didnt face this problem of blank printing in any of them lastly I bought unfortunately cheap china hp printer it is just a waste of money and time these model like hp 2710 and 2320 all of these modles are trash my advice dont buy any of them
