- My 1st wedding with the NIKON Z5 was a couple of days ago - Here I give my thoughts on The Nikon Z5 as a wedding camera and then explain My Camera Set-Up for the Z5 to make it easy and quick to use in a variety of situations. All the Menu settings and using the "User Presets"

The Z5 is my first camera and I'm glad I went with it. This video has helped me out with the settings more than any other on RUclips.

LOVED your tip on turning off the AF Assist light. Had no idea it affected AF focusing. My animal eye detect (on my cat) wasn't working at all, but once I turned off the AF Assist light, the eye detect worked immediately! THANK U!!!!!!

22:57 In U2 with face detection on, I think it is easier to press the OK button and then select the bouquet with focus tracking.
So you can use U3 for something else
Hey Jan, tried your suggestion and found it very good, but after pressing OK the curser changed and I couldn't make go back to 'eye tracking' mode. The only way to make the camera 'eye track' again was to turn it OFF and ON again. Can you help?

How'd you get on with the Z5??
Used my Z5 to shoot a wedding in June. Was flawless. Also brought my D750 but never broke it out since Z5 was doing so well.

Hi Allen, I’m a Fuji X-T3 shooter but love watching your videos. I bought a lovely Voightlander 35mm f1.4 manual focus lens for it. And now I prefer manual focusing still subjects better than auto-focus. It’s so much more engaging. Thanks for the tip of easier manual focusing in black and white. I’m sure that’s going to help me big time. BTW what’s the [1.1K] icon, bottom right on your rear screen please?

It's certainly faster to move around the af point around - not sure the actual focusing is any faster. Allen
Hello Allen, my Z5 arrived yesterday but have only got as far as charging the battery so far. At about 15 mins into the video you are assigning functions to buttons and comment about the joystick being listed twice. Is that to enable you to assign different a function to pushing the joystick left, right, up and down when you push the joystick in?

Hi - the Sigma 105 F1.4 is a F mount lens so you'll need the FTZ adapter - I've used the FTZ adapter with sigma lenses and they work fine so you shouldn't have anyp problems.

I have a nikon z5 as my first camera for almost a year now with Nikkor 50mm 1.8 but right up until now still stuck on my cabinet. 😭

i just got the z5 and all works fine but!!! when i put it in to af-c all it does is click like a machine gun trying to focus so i cant use it in af-c .. i use af-c for weddings half the time no one is standing still.. its a pain and no idear how to fix it.. or it will be getting sold on ...idears???? cheers
What lens? Never had anything like that and I use nothing but afc. Actually I did have an issue with a tamron 50 1.4 lens ... Let me know
Was the aperture small or large? With small apertures > f4, the autofocus hunts like crazy when using AF-C. This person has a video demo of what he's experiencing. Since the zoom lens he is a using is a "slow" lens, his aperture was set at f5.6 at 300mm ruclips.net/video/SuM6nvU0exs/видео.html
How is the battery life?
About 400 shots. Got several batteries 😊. D780 gets through a whole day with lots of battery left.
@@CreativePixelPhotos yea but I think I like the colors more on the z5 then the d780 little too orange for me also the z6. z5 is nice skin tones and it’s on sale for 980 bucks lol.
